  1. Congrats on being the only one who thinks Butler was bad last year. He was our most solid, and arguably our best lineman during last season. The run game went to hell when he was out of the lineup. Not to mention butler signed an extension last offseason. He isn't going anywhere. The only place he sucks is in your mind.
  2. You've obviously never seen him attempt to throw a pass. Yes, the guy has won a lot at florida and has had a huge amount of success as a collegiate player running urban cryer's system. His game doesn't translate to success as an NFL QB. He's not going to be bigger and faster than almost everyone like he is at UF. DLs and LBs will be salivating at the thought of decapitating him on one of his patented runs. As TE or an H-back with the right coach, sure he could have success in the NFL. He'd probably do well throwing the ball 5 times per game as a wildcat QB. But as a regular QB? hell no. It all comes down to, have you ever seen his pass attempts? When the guy tries to throw the ball, you'd swear there are coaches on the sideline yelling, "Pull."
  3. June 1st cuts were rendered meaningless years ago. No one of any consequence is going to be released then.
  4. Maybe you're correct and the Bills will be releasing a white throwback, which would kick ass. But how are your bosses not ok with you showing "proof," yet they are ok with you telling everyone about the jerseys? If this was a big hush hush operation that no one was to know about, why no gag order?
  5. Miss your witty posts and what you brought to the board, BiB
  6. Umm, as was noted prior, the list was alphabetically by team, not a ranking.
  7. No, it would be much sweeter to mangle brady and then put the beat down on the hapless pats*.
  8. When, exactly, did Walker show up, "fat, slow, and out of shape." I believe you're confusing Langston with Peters.
  9. Am i the only one slightly concerned that the plan calls for 3 rookies to suit up on defense?
  10. I know, a month too late. I just got 2 refer-a-friends in march.
  11. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4141175 Judging by what was said in the article, teams playing in the legacy games will be wearing their legacy uniforms. In our case, its the blue throwbacks. Since the Bills are in 3 regular season legacy games (@ne*, @tennessee, home vs miami), i am assuming that we'll get to see the throwbacks 3 times this year. I wonder if we'll wear them at home as regular "throwbacks" and possibly get a 4th game with them, or will they be restricted to the legacy games?
  12. DirecTV, no questions asked. 1000000x better service and there's essentially no difference in prices. Not to mention directv runs all kinds of promotional offers. You'll get free equipment, and there's always the refer-a-friend program for future rebates.
  13. Send the cards a 2nd rounder for dockett and pay the man. Instant upgradeto the DL. Stroud and Dockett would be extremely tough to stop, and it would relegate Kyle Williams to a rotational role where he belongs.
  14. Rod Woodson said it best. Dick Jauron is a great guy, but when it all comes down to it, he's 57-76 in his career as a coach. At some point, you need to get results.
  15. So Joe the plumber posts on PPP as EII?
  16. People have heard of freeman, thats why he's the "better" prospect.
  17. Hell of a system there, gordio. I like the campuses hosting the first round games. One tweak i would have is to still seed the teams 1-14 in order of rank, but conference champs get to host the first round, even if they are the lower seed. The reason is to preserve the "seeding" so the top team can still matchup against the lowest seeded team to advance. For example: In 2008, using your system, the top 4 conference champs get seeded 1-4 (USC, UF, Oklahoma, Penn St.) Then you seed #5-14 based upon the rankings. So, lets assume that Texas gets the #5 seed, and UB got the #16 seed. UB would still host, due to winning its conference, and this would prevent the #1 seed from having to play Texas in round 2. One big problem i see with the smaller schools hosting is that a lot of the mid level schools don't have 90+thousand seats that would be required for these games. It'd be great to see Texas @ UB, but the stadium couldn't handle it. Arrangements would need to be made so the Texas @ UB would be held @ the Ralph.
  18. I know. I can't believe that the Bills completely ignored the OL in this year's draft.
  19. Because when you don't have any real solid evidence to back up a point, resort to anecdotal evidence.
  20. That works for me. At the very least, every BCS conference should have a championship.
  21. She has every right to her opinion. And everyone else has every right to criticize her for her opinion. If you want to complain about anything, complain about the pageant organizers giving someone like perez hilton a chance to ask questions. What kind of question did they think he was going to ask? People give celebs sh-- all the time for their opinions. She's no different.
  22. "Importance of the regular season" is one of the lamest arguments that pro-BCS people still cling to. You want importance? Make the conference schedule and championship mean everything. None of this, "the regular season is important, but this teams regular season was more important because they only lost to team X where the other team's season is less important because they lost to team Y" How can you give serious credibility to a system that says to the third place team, "sorry you can't play for the title. i know you have the same number of losses as the #2 team and i know you lost to a better team, but you lost on october 25th and the #2 team lost on october 3rd, so thats why they are better." I agree with KD. Auto bids to conference champs and any undefeated team in 1-A, regardless of conference. This way, if you get left out, you have much less of a foot to stand on since you didn't win your conference.
  23. Both of you guys are forgetting that Welker was a RFA and the fins tendered him at the 2nd round level. The pats* then backed the fins into a corner by threatening to use the poison pill if the fins didn't trade welker. In the real world, that's called extortion. For their troubles, the fins got an extra 7th round pick out of it. Had they refused the trade, the pats* use the poison pill and the fins end up with a second rounder. The fins should have tagged him at the 1st or 1st/3rd level, but that doesn't make what the pats* did any less despicable.
  24. Make up your mind. First you bash brown for his "poor use of hands." Then when presented with numerous sources claiming he does have good hands, you bash him for lack of athleticism. Now in your above posts, they seem to praise Brown's athleticism. As to your argument of "the panthers had other reasons for drafting him aside from talent," well other teams have reasons for passing on players other than talent. Teams have specific needs, which can cause players to rise and fall based on these needs. After Ayers went at 18, there wasn't another DE taken until brown at #42. If the 3-4 D teams weren't projecting him as a OLB, they'd pass on him because he's not a 3-4 end. Just as well, if teams weren't targeting a DE early in the draft, they had no need to take him. There are a variety of reasons why players fall on draft day. But go ahead with your moronic line of "he sucks thats why no one took him until pick 42."
  25. Brown has a wide repertoire of moves that he can and has used to get to the QB. To say he's simply a speed rusher shows a complete lack of knowledge about his abilities.
