  1. Somehow they deal with that situation in England for instance, where cops don't carry guns. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/why-london-won-t-arm-all-police-despite-severe-terror-n737551 So it can't really be all that impossible now can it?
  2. Bills football will give me something to really look forward to on the weekend. Now more than ever, I want that. Been living in a work from home and mostly staying at home world where days blur together. NFL Sundays are one form of normalcy I'm craving!
  3. Of course. Everyone's entitled to their own way of peacefully expressing themselves in this country and the players should be too. After that short bit they play the game which is the part the fans are there to see. I don't understand why people get worked up about it. Chillax and enjoy the games!
  4. Imagine if Josh Allen said sorry, i just can't do this, and said he wasn't going to play in the playoffs just before they started, and after the Bills had secured the AFC East and had the best regular season record in the NFL. Sure you could respect his decision, but that doesn't mean there wouldn't be a huge dust up about it.
  5. If we won it all, I wouldn't care that its a so called asterisk year. Frankly, I think it's going to end up being one unless, like a miracle, covid just disappears ?. It could be a nice tune up for the year after, with no asterisk involved.
  6. This season may come down to who can field the most qualified players with some degree of consistency. Some surprises will pop up, players or groups of players who test positive and get scrubbed from some games. It will throw a real wild-card into the "expected" outcomes. Imagine five or six top players testing positive days before the Super Bowl, with the associated gyrations in point spreads. Or the controversy, when teams get accused of playing individuals who had tested positive. Should be interesting - IF the NFL can make it through the season.
  7. Is there some benefit in the fact that McD knows Cam's tendencies pretty well? It seems it should be of some benefit in scheming our defense to thwart him.
  8. https://primetimesportstalk.com/2020/01/10/is-jake-fromm-the-best-possible-brady-successor/This guy likes him as more than a backup. Time will tell...
  9. Perhaps in Japan it is because of two things. Many Japanese people started wearing face masks routinely several years ago. Also I could be wrong but I don't think their culture is quite as touchy feely as in Italy or Spain, for instance. More time communicating with each other via electronics as opposed to in person regular large family gatherings? I'm just taking a stab at why they might have a lower infection rate...
  10. He's done, as far as Super Bowls are concerned. How many before him switched teams, played too long, and took a little sheen off their legacies? Montana and Favre come to mind. Sad that the big ego's can't just realize father time has caught up with them and it is time to retire before the inevitable decline.
  11. and Montana, and Favre. sad ends to great careers... It's too late for that glory. It'd be like finally beating your old man in an arm wrestling contest when he's 65.
  12. What they did was utterly impressive. After being down 24-0, they storm back and outscore Houston 51-7! No way our current Bills team could have done that. Also, IF we had played KC eventually I think they'd have got their offense going, and we'd have been whupped. Maybe not this bad, but no way we keep up in a shoot out. Not yet anyway.
  13. That's what the Ravens fans thought ? They were a different team after Mariotta was benched and Tannehill took over. Also they got progressively better the last several games. I don't think we would have beaten them.
  14. I think that first one AND the second one were both instrumental plays that led to our doom. If we had stopped either they're two points short of the win in regulation.
  15. That should be the goal, but look at the games this weekend: 22-19 Houston, 20-13 Tennessee (really 14-13 if you don't count the last play pick 6), 17-9 Seattle, and 26-20 Minnesota. Every game was pretty defense oriented, with high powered offenses struggling to get points. We were in one of those games and just came up a little short.
  16. Not likely, I started cheering for the Bills when I was 9 back in '67, and never stopped. I just think trying to hold on to "4 SB appearances in a row" as a record we want to hold onto is silly. We all just need to let it go...
  17. The only people who give a rats ass about that "accomplishment" are old Bills fans who try to preserve some shred of "greatness" about a team that is remembered now and forever by everyone else as "4 time in a row Super Bowl losers". I get it, I admired the amazing resiliency too, but nobody else really cares. I want to move past that to something new that has no ties to the past that gets a totally different result.
  18. Not to mention if we stop just ONE of the two 2 point conversion attempts - and everything else played out the same, we'd have won 19-18 in regulation.
  19. Really? Must be you haven't been around too long ?. I knew going in to this there was a reasonable chance we would lose, but I figured win or lose we had a great year. To win, we'd our offense to score more than 20 points, which would be tough because scoring has really been our weakness all year. I'd rather build on this year, add talent, and make a serious run next year, than somehow luck our way into the Super Bowl this year and get annihilated. It was not our time YET, but it is coming. No reason to hang our heads!
  20. Booger was gushing over Josh Allen's play in the first half. So much that I was getting sick of hearing it. I think that kind of crap puts out bad ju-ju.
  21. I don't understand that either. It's like we felt like we were under some time pressure, but we weren't. We had all the time in the world and I think if we had mixed in the run we would have had a better chance.
