  1. Most one-sided officiating I’ve ever seen.
  2. Refs are handing this game to the Titans.
  3. This tells me they may go run heavy today.
  4. Finally someone who will attack the football.
  5. The Pats were the ones who drafted him and if memory serves me right, they had tried to stash him on their PS but the Bills snatched him up.
  6. Andy Benoit's take Daboll, a former tight ends coach, has a strong working knowledge of this sort of passing game, and the Bills this season have indeed shown some creativity with dropbacks out of base personnel (including spreading out into empty formations, which is another way to clarify the coverage for the QB). It’s a fine line to walk, though. Buffalo’s offense ultimately hinges on the success of its ground game; incomplete passes on first down can quickly derail a ground game. And Allen, gifted a fastball thrower as he is, does not deliver with stable accuracy. Like Cam Newton, he is liable to simply miss on a half-dozen throws each game. This cannot be coached out of a guy, it can only be coached around.
  7. Barkley is satanding? That doesn't sound like what we need right now, devil-worshiping...
  8. Not surprised to hear that Younghoe was on the street...
  9. https://www.footballoutsiders.com/film-room/2019/film-room-buffalo-defense The Bills defense played winning football on Sunday. Tom Brady was held to a completion rate of 50% or worse for just the 21st time in 271 career starts, and the first time since 2017. The Patriots offense earned just 11 first downs after never earning fewer than 21 in the previous three weeks; they converted on just 5-of-18 (27.8%) third downs after converting 47.5% of the time in the first three games. New England also finished with by far their worst single-game offensive DVOA rating (-43.4%) of the year, having never dipped below 11.8% previously (subscription required). New England scored one offensive touchdown, with their other touchdown being a special teams score. (EDIT: take a look at the violence with which Edmunds attacks the hole and the running back blocker in the second clip, and look what Milano does to throw the receiver off the route in the next clip.)
  10. He's an odd player - you're right that he doesn't break tackles in the backfield too often and seems to trip over his own feet at times - but he hits the hole hard and once he gets into the second level he's tough to bring down at that point.
  11. No arm tackling this weekend - the Titans are the most physical offense we’ve faced this year and Henry is a real power back. Need to get over the New England hangover ASAP and be ready for a physical game.
  12. Yes, but they also have been investing their high picks on that side of the ball, at the expense of other opportunities (rhymes with LaPomes). And they are going to need an elite passrusher to get to elite status. Clooney would’ve been a real difference-maker here.
  13. That too. Daboll seems to take forever trying to call the perfect play - but Allen plays much better when he can see the defense in advance.
  14. I’m not sure whose dream it is - I’ve been wondering aloud whether Daboll wants to prove to the league he knows how to implement the New England offense, so as to set himself up for a head coaching opportunity this offseason - the Belichick coaching tree keeps getting hired, he may be trying to strike while the iron is hot.
  15. Heavy feet. I don't see that changing. He's a guard.
  16. But this game was lost by a few plays - and could've been won had a few more plays been made. Zay dropped a pass that hit him in the hands. He failed to have the situational awareness to fight back for the ball and/or pull the DB out of bounds on the last INT. Those were important plays that could've changed the outcome of the game. On an opportunity cost basis, Zay Jones is the worst player in the NFL at any position. He actually gets opportunities (unlike, say, Nate Peterman) and continues to squander them. It's amazing that he continues to get them.
  17. I didn’t see tackling being an issue outside of a few plays but against Derrick Henry they’d better be ready to wrap up.
  18. I’ve never heard of you
