Good point but a few things in response - I think Goff is holding back Goff - he’s just not very talented. McVay was propping him up but it’s not like a video game - eventually the QB is supposed to learn to read the coverages himself, the presnap talking should help not hinder - Goff might just be limited. Also isn’t Daboll’s offense supposed to be concept-based? Josh needs to learn the concepts, even if Daboll is telling him what protections and plays to run on a given down. From Daboll’s comments it sounds like he gets it. Finally - Josh’s intellect is an underrated part of his game. If Allen makes it it may end up being as much because of his brain as it is because of his physical abilities. I guess I’m saying it doesn’t trouble me in the least at this stage in Allen’s career if Daboll is barking things into his mic presnap.

This is a tough game because it will put the two biggest weak spots - run defense and pass pro - to the test. Lindsay is the kind of back that gives the Bills a really hard time - he's patient in the backfield and explosive when he reaches the second level. And Fangio will scheme some difficulties for Josh, including weird pre-snap disguises. Fangio is smart enough to take away John Brown - Allen will have to go through his progressions to find someone else, all while hoping Ford holds up in his assignment against Von Miller. The Bills should win this game but it's far from an easy one.

Amazingly the NFL changed the rule on PI and then put the union boss in charge of reviewing his union employees - the rubber-stamping is completely predictable. The NFL is such a backwater of a company.

There was a red zone play last week that was designed to go to him but got blown up, I don’t remember how but I could tell from the pre-snap that they were targeting him on a seam route. And he was open. But I’m just basing my comment off his look in a uniform, not on his running speed. He looks like he’s been drinking beer on the sofa for the past year, not that there’s anything wrong with it. I remember him being svelter in Cincy.

Honestly he looks out of shape to me.

Tomlin should be fined for calling a screen pass with 8 seconds left down two scores. He was asking for trouble and I don't understand why coaches do that stuff.

Pouncey has a history with the league and is too eager to turn anything into a melee. He and his brother rolled around with Hernandez in Florida. There's more to his suspension than just last night.

I think the Steelers are punished more by allowing Rudolph to play...
