  1. If HAPPY DAYS says it you can take it to the bank. Thank you my good fellow!
  2. What’s good, gents? What’s good? What’s the word on this Deandre fellow?
  3. With the owners meetings convening in Arizona, it would make sense that this might get done in the next couple of days with everyone together out there.
  4. Not saying Beane gets this deal done, but the cap hits for the team acquiring Hopkins are quite a bit lower: ”If traded, his cap hits for his new team would be $19.45 million in 2023 and $14.915 million in 2024.” https://sports.betmgm.com/en/blog/nfl/deandre-hopkins-contract-salary-cap-hit-potential-extension-bm10/
  5. At least we know he'll take one for the team!
  6. YE OLE concurs… top marks all the way around. If you are going to put on one of these shindigs, this is the blueprint.
  7. YE OLE concurs, my good fellow! Tomlin takes a lot of flack for his in game decisions around punting and so forth (deservedly so), but he sure gets a lot of his teams. Earlier this year when the Steelers fell to 3-7 it was a done deal that his streak of winning seasons was over. Unbelievable to get that team to 9-8 from that spot.
  8. The game has certainly changed in the last 25 years, but it wouldn’t be the worst idea to have a couple mammoths at DT. When Pat Williams and Ted Washington and later Sam Adams were clogging up the middle, it sure opened everyone else up.
  9. It’s almost like they tried to lose. There’s really no explanation for any of this.
  10. It was definitely the case that they had no chance to win that game yesterday. They appeared to have no interest in being there at all. This team has flaws, but if they played their A game yesterday, they win. Unfortunately, the best they have mustered since Green Bay has been a string of C games and that clunker yesterday. They certainly faced a lot of adversity this year, but something has to change internally or it’s hard to see them getting through a full season being consistently excellent.
  11. It would be amazing to see what Reich could do with Josh and this offense. It’s hard for me to see a realistic path to this happening though. As for today and Josh’s presser… it’s all very strange. Aside from the obvious disappointment, the whole mood around the team seemed weird. We can tear down the scheme and the X’s and O’s (and it’s all valid) but this team put forth very little effort today. If they made contact with Mixon he carried them for another 10 yards. There was no ability to bring any receivers down at all. The OLine was on skates. It looked like they had no interest in winning whatsoever. McDermott was asked about the lack of energy in the presser and sort of sluffed it off and attributed it to the Bengals opening drive and getting into a rhythm early taking them out of the game a little bit. Even Josh in the postgame made a comment about “you can’t win them all” which sounded a little off key to me. I love Josh and I am in no way saying he doesn’t leave everything out on the field. We all had concerns about them not playing their best down the stretch, but this was a bizarre let down across the board.
  12. Worst this team has played since that stretch last year with those Indy and Jax losses. Waiting for someone to make a play and no one has anything.
  13. These days football is all about weird camera angles, pushing the pile like a rugby scrum, waiting 5 seconds into the play to see if it’ll be blown dead because a coach actually called timeout, waiting 5 seconds after the play clock hits zero to see if they will call delay of game, etc.
  14. “Someone grab a fire extinguisher! Because Dawson Knox is as hot as a firecracker!” I’m with you on this… Brown isn’t my favorite either. Even on OBL with Tasker he gets worked up and drops weird sayings. He and Murph both seem like nice guys, but I’m not sure either does a great job.
  15. I believe it says they will determine home field via coin toss for Ravens/Bengals in that scenario. There’s a lot of words in the proposal, but I think the only neutral site game potentially would be Bills/Chiefs. And that only applies if the Chiefs are the 1 seed.
  16. The way I read it is there is only one scenario for us where a neutral site comes into play: if we play KC and KC is the 1 seed. Otherwise it is business as usual.
