  1. What’s good, gents? What’s good? Watching this Texans/Patriots* game, YE OLE is just going to say it like it is. If we can knock off Baltimore next week, there’s a really good chance we’re going to be the #1 seed. To clarify... YE OLE is not saying that’s going to be easy.
  2. YE OLE didn’t like when we didn’t get this guy signed in the offseason until the 11th hour and YE will not like it if we don’t get this fellow signed long term. Jordan has been excellent since he arrived last year, he’s still young, and clearly gotten even better this year. No disrespect to anyone who takes the stance that we should offer a modest contract or let him walk, but that feels a lot like letting Winfield or Pat Williams walk and beginning the cycle of drafting replacements and never getting better. This guy is our best defensive lineman right now... pay him.
  3. That ball must have been an absolute rocket, the way it was deflected and still made it through to Brown.
  4. This Vincent fellow looks like a guy who knows a thing or two about stuffing the run!
  5. THE CHANIMAL could draw up a screen like nobody's business! FACT!
  6. As always, anything is possible, but 2017 would seem to be a better marker than the Jauron/Gailey era teams. McDermott's already had a team here that went from 5-2 to 5-5 while getting gashed in the run game at a historic clip. After that Saints game where they ended the game with like 50 consecutive run plays, who could've seen that team winning another game the rest of the year? They managed to turn it around, win @KC and then break the drought. Had we came away with a win against the Eagles, YE OLE would've said we might have a run at the division here, gents. But, at this point, the most likely scenario is a 10/11 win season and a wildcard game at Indy/Baltimore. How McDermott's team fairs in that game will likely be the true test as to what the trajectory of THE PROCESS is.
  7. That’s why they had to cut him... it was cutting into valuable time talking about how Fitz went to Harvard during the telecast.
  8. Fingers crossed that McBeane was in a room with the Bengals brass consumating said deal at 3:59 PM, gents!
  9. YE OLE's got 4:00 PM in the EAST, gents!
  10. I think we can all picture coach in the midst of a post game speech with the team huddled around "start ripping into it a little bit." ‘One of the best dancers in the world’ Brady: “This is legit. McDermott, he is a pasty, white, red-haired Irish guy, and yet he is one of the best dancers in the world. That dude can cut a rug, man. “He’s just one of these guys, if you just looked at him standing still, you wouldn’t think that guy could go out on the dance floor and tear it up. But it’s, like, funny to watch him. I would laugh every time. He can tear it up on a dance floor, man. Anywhere. Any time. He was great. “If we were at a high school dance or something or at a party, he would just start ripping into it a little bit. It’d be hysterical. The guy had great rhythm.”
  11. What's good, gents? What's good? How things come full circle around here. It was last year around this time that the BOJO fake FG fiasco against the Titans inspired YE OLE to write this little gem...
  12. My apologies my good fellow... YE OLE meant this to be completely tongue in cheek. No harm was intended. It would be an incredible moment if Josh does, in fact, launch one out of the stadium.
  13. Most fans probably thought Beasley to be the answer here... a smaller, shiftier guy with crisp route running and movement in the slot. But, one has to start wondering about his ability to rise to the occasion in big moments. He's seemingly dropped the ball a few times at crucial points.
  14. RoyBatty is alive, you are spot on per usual! Josh really exposed some mechanical flaws in his ability to throw it out of the stadium Sunday. Hopefully this is something Jordan Palmer can work with him on in the offseason.
  15. This whole thing really seemed to gain momentum with all of Buddy Nix's talk about wanting to acquire a guy who is "open even when he's not open." Perhaps Chan having coached Calvin Johnson in college also made this a larger focus. But the fact remains not every team can have a BIG JOHNSON type receiver.
  16. If Tre didn't make that play, YE OLE has visions of Sal stepping in and lowering the boom and then yelling "WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE!" McDermott would've been right there with some aggressive clapping and shouting "Way to protect that dirt, Sal!" Thankfully, Tre made the pick and we didn't have to witness all of this nonsense.
  17. Sal looks like he’s ready to jump in there!
  18. Mr. Dubenion, my good friend, you are spot on per usual... Wilkins just got there and even he was throwing punches the second play of the game!
  19. YE OLE had posted that we all just got a little bit nervous about this game as soon as Fitz was announced as the starter. For those who are unnerved about yesterday’s result, it’s almost a carbon copy of what Fitz did in week 7 of 2010. The Bills lost 37-34 in OT in Baltimore, against a Ravens team that would finish the season 12-4. The Bills dropped to 0-6 that day, but Fitz did that thing that he’s become known for. After the game, Chan was asked about one play in particular where Fitz somehow threaded the needle through about 4 Ravens to hit David Nelson in the end zone for a TD. Chan said, “I couldn’t believe Fitz threw it and I couldn’t believe David caught it!” When Fitz starts slinging the ball around like that, regardless of how bereft of talent the team is around him, he’s damn near unstoppable. If Fitz plays the rest of the season, they’re going to win a couple games they have no business being in and won’t finish 0-16.
  20. Gents... our defense is THE WHIP and has suffocated all opposition that dare take the field. But, YE OLE will tell you to a man, that Fitz starting this game just made us a little more nervous.
  21. With Baker struggling so much last night, one wonders what Frazier/McDermott will cook up for him when he faces our defense.
  22. Rocbillsfan1, my good fellow, you are spot on per usual! YE OLE loves the fact that they are attempting to incorporate the concept of quick snapping the QB sneak, as we’ve seen the Patriots* run successfully ad nauseam. However, the execution has been far from crisp. Especially in that situation, it would’ve been nice to see them split everyone out wide and then quick snap and let Josh fall into the inevitable gaps left in the defensive front. Now YE OLE is a real armchair OC here, so take it with a grain of salt, but there could also be a variation where Josh could split everyone wide and step back into shotgun. He could then step under center and quick snap/plunge forward for several yards when the defense is really spread out and off balance. You could even start camouflaging it like Josh is coming up to communicate a protection/alignment or whatever and have some sort of check to quick snap and dive forward whenever presented with a gap between the C/G or wherever.
  23. This is THE GROUND AND POUND right here, gents! Gore is, indeed, THE INCONVENIENT TRUTH, for the Titans D.
