Knowing Gettleman, getting a replacement for Safety Landon Collins was probably of high priority. Judging by what Cleveland paid, they probably wanted: - 2019 1st Round - Pick #9 - 2019 3rd Round - Pick #75 - SS Micah Hyde Then we would have had to give him a big new deal like Cleveland will be. ... I think I might have still done it, personally.

I wonder who will be our two starting Guards with the additions of Jon Feliciano and Spencer Long to go along with Wyatt Teller ? -
Bills one of 6 teams in on Leveon Bell
BillsFanForever19 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We've reportedly never been in on Bell. Outside of him - there isn't really anyone available that would be a big reveal. -
Ziggy Ansah to visit bills
BillsFanForever19 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Alright, Le'Veon Bell watch has been debunked. All aboard the Ziggy train! Outside of Bell and Earl Thomas - Ansah may be the best available Free Agent. Here's hoping his medical checks out and we "don't let him leave the building". -
OT Ty Nsekhe (Redskins) to the Bills
BillsFanForever19 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone clamoring for Daryl Williams - the reason people aren't jumping is because they want to wait until Wednesday so they can see where he's at medically. Same with Ziggy Ansah. -
I love the signings they've made so far. But signing John Brown, Cole Beasley, and Mitch Morse is not a huge perception changer. Obviously, they can sign guys. But when it's said Buffalo can't sign players, it's referring to the Antonio Brown's and Le'Veon Bell's of the world. The cream of the crop will never come here if given a choice.

Signing Mummy Frank Gore on Day 1. ... Wow. -
Bills internal discussions about Trey Flowers - DE

Welp. There goes that. Time to sit around the table and have internal discussions about other Free Agents. SLOW and steady wins the race! -
Report - Bills interested in Frank Gore, RB

If i'm signing another ancient RB, i'm going with Adrian Peterson. -
In a vacuum - probably not. However given: - The amount of money that they have that must be used. - The glaring need for at least one stud WR. - The large amount of Offensive Lineman worth taking at #9 in the First Round vs. the small amount (maybe 1?) of WR's worth taking at #9. - The large amount of decent FA Offensive Lineman that could be had with no compensation vs. almost no WR's. A trade is almost neccessary to upgrade our WR core in a substantial way. In this case, it lines up in a way that if it were to ever happen - now would be the time.

Why not Eric Weddle for a year?
BillsFanForever19 replied to Seasons1992's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have Hyde and Poyer. Hell, we don't even need a 3rd Vet Safety off the bench because they signed Rafael Bush to a multi-year deal just last season. -
Because there will almost assuredly be a difference maker at another position of need that won't be a reach at #9. If we were to sign Saffold and Morse - that's going to eat up a HUGE chunk of our cap space. I'm not saying don't Draft a Lineman at all. I'm just saying using that much cap space on two stud FA Lineman and then the #9 overall is putting too many resources into one place. When this team needs a lot.

Cardinals sign Charles Clay
BillsFanForever19 replied to JK Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they're willing to put in all the special treatment he requires at this stage in his career, if he is able to avoid any big hits to his knees or back, and if he and Rosen have a natural chemistry - it could work for a year or two. But those are a lot of 'if's'. Personally, I think he's toast. But for 1 year 3.5 - it's worth a shot for them. -
Bills sign C Spencer Long to 3 year deal
BillsFanForever19 replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's been a starter pretty much his whole career. We just signed him to a 3 year deal up to 5 mil a season. I don't want him to be the starter either. But as it stands now, he's the 8th highest paid player on the whole team. I can't fathom paying that for a backup Center. Especially when you see what they were paying Groy and Bodine to be their starter(s) last season. It's more than both of them combined. But for the sake of argument, let's say he is depth. Do you really see them going out and signing one of the top Centers to a big time FA deal with that contract already on the books? No way they invest that much in to one position. -
Bills sign C Spencer Long to 3 year deal

At 3 years up to 15 mil? I don't think so. -
Bills sign C Spencer Long to 3 year deal
BillsFanForever19 replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope i'm wrong but even without financial details - signing him to a 3 year deal doesn't scream tryout or backup to me. Seeing what he made in New York, I doubt he's coming at league minimum. I'm afraid that they did their homework on Paradis and that this says he's not coming. -
New Coaches Hired - QB, WR
BillsFanForever19 replied to eSJayDee's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't anyone dare point out that it's another Panthers hire. Lest you wish to be pelted with rocks from the crowd of people who get strangely defensive of it and are convinced there's no such trend.
