  1. 2003, I have to disagree with your grades. Mathias Kiwanuka at 17 to the Vikings doesn't deserve a D. He had a poor Senior Bowl showing, but if Williams and Hali are gone and the Vikings want another DE, Kiwanuka is the pick. Before his "regression" he was touted as a top-10 pick. Orien Harris at 19 gets a B?! I have yet to see a SINGLE mock that has Orien Harris in round 1. He's below Ngata, Bunkley, Watson, Wroten, and Wright on most boards i've seen. Lendale White is a little bit of a reach at 7, but not a whole lot. Not deserving a C. Especially if DeAngelo Williams is picked at 4. San Fran needs a back and at that point White is the best you can get. He's projected anywhere from pick 5 to GB to pick 20. And Charlie Whitehurst gets a D?!..... Actually, you're right; that was a terrible pick.
  2. I'm not saying it does. All i'm saying is that if Leinart threw righty, Justice would have been their LT. While most teams put their top OL at LT to protect their QB's blindside, Leinart's blindside was coming from the RT spot.
  3. Grammar is your friend. By the way, wasn't it Otis Anderson?
  4. No way! Heath Miller was barely picked in the 1st round. He had a good college career that has translated VERY well into the NFL. But he wasn't half the prospect Davis is coming out of college.
  5. Waiting for their pick to come. Unless of course you're Draconator
  6. Here's how I mock it barring trades: 1.) Houston - Reggie Bush, RB USC 2.) New Orleans - Matt Leinart, QB USC 3.) Tennessee - Vince Young, QB Texas 4.) New York - D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT Virginia 5.) Green Bay - A.J. Hawk, LB Ohio State 6.) Oakland - Mario Williams, DE N.C. State 7.) San Francisco - DeAngelo Williams, RB Memphis Honestly, that's the most realistic 1-7 you can get. So who will Buffalo pick? Who's left? Well here's a list of players. We should look forward to seeing one in Buffalo blue next season: Haloti Ngata, DT Oregon - 75% of the mocks you read will have us picking him. And why not? He's far and away the #1 DT in the draft. "The Tongan Terror" is a huge, athletic run stuffer that would be an immediate impact player. Vernon Davis, TE Maryland - This would be a little bit of a shocker, but he's every bit worth it. Consistently listed as the #1 TE in the draft (which is saying a LOT because this is a DEEP TE class), Davis is an explosive playmaker. Many compare him to Antonio Gates and he is the best TE since Kellen Winslow. Michael Huff, S/CB Texas - "Huff Daddy" was this year's Jim Thorpe winner for the nation's top DB. He has all the skill in the world and is described as a "ball hawk". He was the heart of that terrifying national championship defense and you can put him wherever in the secondary. Tamba Hali, DE Penn State - There was a time when Mathias Kiwinuka was considered the best DE in the draft. Those days are long gone! Especially after a terrible regression this past season and an emberassing Senior Bowl. These days it's all about Mario Williams and Tamba Hali. Super Mario is the pinnacle, but Hali is a beast as well. He'll make an immediate impact. A pass rush for once would be nice. Jimmy Williams, CB Virginia Tech - Without a doubt, Williams is the #1 pure CB in the draft. Antonio Cromartie may have been able to give him a run for his money, but then he got injured. Jimmy is quick, explosive, and a DeAngelo Hall clone. The only problem is he has some of those "character issues". Winston Justice, OT USC - He played RT at USC. But playing with left-handed Leinart, RT = LT. He's a big, stud OT who seems to get better as time goes by. He may be a bit of a reach at 8, but if we decide that we have to pick OL with our 1st pick and we can't trade down; he's the guy. Those are the obvious choices. But sometimes (or in TD's case; a lot of times) things don't work out like we think they will. Sometimes there are circumstances that are kept quiet at OBD. Now for the SHOCKERS: Jay Cutler, QB Vanderbilt - He'll go in the 1st round, most likely to Detroit after we make our selection. He's easily the #3 QB in the draft and many argue he'd be #1 if he didn't play at Vandy. If the "Golden Boys" have decided Losman's fate in a negative way; this is a very real possibility. Santonio Holmes, WR Ohio State - The #1 WR in the 2006 class. He's not Braylon Edwards or Larry Fitzgerald, but he's still the guy you want if you're drafting a WR this year. Right now picking him at 8 would be a little bit of a reach. But I predict he'll have a monster combine. Combine (bad pun) that with his Fiesta Bowl performance and his stock will rise tremendously. He's not as small as everyone makes him sound and he could easily put on a little muscle mass. Lendale White, RB USC - At the Rose Bowl, everyone might have been anticipating what Reggie Bush would do. But it was all about Lendale. He is constantly in Reggie's shadow, but he shouldn't be. He's a beastly power runner who OBVIOUSLY wouldn't have a problem sharing the field with Willis. If Marv is questioning Willis' play and character, Lendale White might be too good to pass on as a weapon and insurance. It's definitely possible that the Brick, Super Mario, or others could fall. But it's unrealistic to expect it. This is the definitive list of options for us. I wouldn't be upset with any one of them.
  7. That's odd. Chad Johnson was giving him rave reviews on WGR yesterday from Detroit. You'd think CJ would be more likely to run off at the mouth than Smith. Especially since he was practically shut down by Nate when we played Carolina.
  8. See Jim Fassell or fictional article: HC accepts Assistant position never to be a HC again
  9. I wouldn't worry about it too much. There isn't a WR from Michigan coming out that is even an ounce of a thought at 15. Now if you would have said some WR out of Ohio State, then we'd have cause for concern. I had a dream the other day that the draft went like this: 1.) Houston - Reggie Bush 2.) New Orleans - Matt Leinart 3.) Tennessee - Jay Cutler (Chow liked him better after the Senior Bowl) 4.) New York - D'Brickashaw Ferguson 5.) Green Bay - Mario Williams 6.) Oakland - A.J. Hawk 7.) San Francisco - DeAngelo Williams During this whole time, Kiper was freaking out about Vince not being picked. Everyone agreed that teams were spooked about his delivery, style, and how it may or may not translate at the next level. Then it came..... With the 8th selection in the NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select: Vince Young, QB Texas. Although Kiper and Berman discussed whether or not this was a good fit, they agreed that if they address both line's in Day 1 and heavily in FA; Vince could succeed at some point and could at least compete with Losman. They also agreed that any team after pick 5 would be stupid to pass on him. Then I came on to TSW. And 3 members had committed suicide! Everyone was going crazy. I'm talking biblical proportions (sp?). Total anarchy. Cats and dog's living together and all that jazz.
  10. Wow... Whitehurst is a reach and a half. Baltimore easily could have had him in the 2nd (maybe the 3rd) if they wanted him. After Leinart, Young, and Cutler; there shouldn't be another QB in the first. Omar Jacobs and Brodie Croyle should go after them. Then MAYBE Whitehurst. He had a good Senior Bowl. But not that good.
  11. That's a plus! Bentley should be our #1 priority this offseason. The only way we're getting Hutchinson is if Seattle lets him walk without a contract offer. There's no way he's going to leave a Super Bowl team for us otherwise. God knows we won't compete for talent with money. Bentley will most likely want out of New Orleans.
  12. Besides your mock going to hell as a result of silly trades..... Not much.
  13. I never said it won't happen or couldn't happen. I think it could VERY well happen. That's why I made the post "e-Bully". All I said was I don't want it to happen and it shouldn't (as in "dear god why did this happen?!").
  14. i thought Marv wanted character guys? Perry's been caught stealing!
  15. No, actually non-toxic Elmer's is fine. Billy Madison loves it! Fine and delicious, actually.....
  16. Think about it. Joey Harrington is expected to be axed by the Lions. They'll go with Garcia and most likely Jay Cutler with their 9th pick (if he's still there). Dick Jauron coached the Lions while Harrington was there. What if he brings him in because of familiarity and thinking he just needs a change of scenery? An obvious bust, but he also fits Ralph's pocket book i'm sure. I can see it happening. And for the love of god, i'm not saying it should or that I want it to happen! Quite the opposite actually. So don't come out with all the "you're not supposed to eat paint" replies.
  17. No. 2003 for the love of god an all that is holy, stop this madness. Realistic trades involving people who are ACTUALLY on trade blocks. This is just getting stupid now.
  18. After much thought and deliberation, the San Francisco 49er's controversially select........ Lendale White, RB USC http://waumadscn7.eastbay.com/is/image/EB/...6;ENLARGE$
  19. Come on Houston, take the Brick and let it be done with.
  20. And now we wait..... BTW I have to go out for a little while. So if the other GM's get on and draft up to 7, i'll be on at 8 to make my selection for San Fran. Or should I just PM a list of who i'd select to you 2003?
  21. With the 2nd pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select..... Vince Young, QB Texas http://waumadscn7.eastbay.com/is/image/EB/...6;ENLARGE$
  22. Didn't see that one coming lol I know how amazing Bush looked, but I don't think i'd EVER trade a proven LT for Bush.
  23. San Diego. He'll get around to fixing it. Now pick already!
