  1. I'd imagine they'd keep him on the opt-out COVID list for the year and then cut him in the Offseason. Maybe they'll bring him into camp. But he certainly won't be given the kind of opportunity he had right now.
  2. While i'm sure he had his reasons, he didn't play a down of football last season. Opting out this season would mean that he'll be 2 1/2 years removed from playing when he tries to comeback. Maybe he'll get invited to a camp next year. But I can't see teams being very interested in an almost 30 year old journeyman Corner who hasn't played a down in almost 3 years.
  3. This seems more about Special Teams to me than anything else.
  4. Really sucks that Larry Warford opted out. Would have been a real solid replacement.
  5. I know this guy named Doug. He liked to spend to the cap every year. It took years to recover from. Let's not revisit that. This team is stacked like it hasn't been in years. Let's not get greedy. And in the coming years we'll have to re-up Tre White, Dion Dawkins, and Matt Milano. The following year we'll have to re-up Josh Allen and Tremaine Edmunds. Even if we released Trent Murphy, you'd be adding a FOURTH starting DE and/or a FIFTH starting quality CB. Really extravagant additions that would cost us people from our core.
  6. Seriously? Backup? Over the past 4 years, Addison has had THIRTY NINE sacks! 9.5 just last year and signed to a 3 year, 30 million dollar deal (50% guaranteed). A.J. Epenesa was considered by many to be the 2nd best pass rusher in the entire Draft. A 1st Round talent that Beane loves. The Clowney ship sailed when we signed Addison and made our big splash trading for Stefon Diggs. Double so when we spent our 1st pick on a Epenesa. With Tre White, Dion Dawkins, and Matt Milano needing to be re-signed on the horizon - spending most of our cap space on a 1 year gun for hire - when we're already good at DE... just makes no sense. How about we just sign a space eating DT to replace the space eating DT we lost?
  7. Who rots on the bench between Hughes, Addison (who we just paid starting money to), or Epenesa (our top draft pick)? Not sure how losing one of our starting DT's equates to signing a FOURTH starting quality DE.
  8. Corey Liuget come on down!
  9. Feels like Kroft last year. Hopefully he doesn't reinjure it like Kroft did trying to come back too quickly. Leaves us with Knox, Unofficial OT Lee Smith, and the oft-injured Kroft. Wouldn't hate a move for Njoku.
  10. That Diggs trade looking better.
  11. Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison, A.J. Epenesa That's more than enough firepower.
  12. I don't recall referring to anything.
  13. .... I don't really need to have to spell out the difference between calling a team the Chiefs or the Braves vs. calling a team the Redskins, do I? ?‍♂️
  14. Right now, no. But I could see him getting in much later in life for all of his contributions. He'll be one of those "I wasn't around to see him, but I hear he was the best Special Teamer of all time and I remember seeing him as an analyst" type inductions far into the future.
  15. Ah, crap. Guess we'll just have to cut him and sign Cam now. Shucks ?
  16. Can we now bury the revolting kneejerk narrative that Zack Moss was unhappy to come here on Draft night? Hated reading a lot of posts from fans judging him immediately because ESPN didn't have shots of him jumping up and down and crying. Some even blew it out of proportion and said that it looked like he had to be consoled. So much has come out since then that just makes those claims look ludicrous.
  17. Don't get me wrong, I like Wade. But he's entering only his 2nd year of Pro Football when most NFL players have played the game their whole life. And they're going to get another year of exemption with him. So I'd be shocked if his status is any different from last season. The feeling from writers in the loop is the same. I have a friend who's big on Wade and was miffed I was pulling for RB's in Round's 2 or 3. I told him the same thing I'll tell you now. Watch this video from 39:25 https://youtu.be/jlcDGViemCs
  18. I could see this happening, if and only if, no one wants to sign him without a physical and it can't happen until just before the season. And he's wanting to just sign with a team and there is no other suitors that have an older QB or one less established than Josh. But I'd put it at a 10% chance.
  19. QB: Allen, Barkley, Fromm RB: Singletary, Moss, Jones, DiMarco (FB) WR: Diggs, Brown, Beasley, Davis, Hodgins, Roberts (KR) TE: Knox, Kroft, Sweeney OT: Dawkins, Ford, Nskhe, Williams Center: Morse OG: Spain, Feliciano, Boehm, Bates DE: Hughes, Addison, Epenesa, Johnson DT: Oliver, Lotulelei, Jefferson, Butler, Phillips LB: Edmunds, Milano, Klein, Joseph, Matakevich, Thompson CB: White, Norman, Johnson, Gaines, Wallace, Jackson S: Hyde, Poyer, Marlowe, Neal, Johnson K: Bass P: Vedvik LS: Ferguson
  20. Honestly? I don't think there is one. At least when it comes to the starting lineup. I agree, if anything, some depth at Linebacker could be in order. But not to replace Lorenzo. His role is being filled by a multitude of players. A.J. Klein is our 3rd Linebacker. Tyler Matakevich is the new Special Teams ace. And Addison, Epenesa, and Jefferson replaces the pass rush lost by Alexander and Shaq Lawson.
  21. Josh himself said last season that he wouldn't trade Smoke for anything. So no. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2019/11/bills-josh-allen-wouldnt-trade-john-brown-for-anything-he-is-an-all-time-teammate.html
  22. There may be some eligibility left on Foster and/or Williams. But I was referring to the active roster. I should have specified.
