Steven Nelson maybe. Jerry Hughes, no. I get the idea of wanting him to be on the team to see a Championship. But you have to think of it this way, it's a lot to ask for him to come back for literal pennies on the dollar. We're not going to pay much for the kind of role he'd have on this team. It's a lot to ask for him to go from being a Starter to a rotational guy seeing minimal snaps behind Miller and Rousseau. It's a lot to ask for him to come back and go from the Defensive Captain for the better part of a decade and unquestioned leader in the DE room to being a guy in the background to King Von. And that's another wrinkle of this. I think the Von move screamed a changing of the guard. They want Von to be the leader in that room. I don't think the team wants the shadow of Jerry Hughes looming over that. And it wouldn't shock me if Von wouldn't want that either.

If Booth is on the board at 25, this will be the pick and I believe Beane is sprinting to the podium.

CB Andrew Booth, Clemson WR Calvin Austin III, Kentucky

Size isn't important. They're looking for an added element of speed and separation to our core for the replacement for the roster spot vacated by Emmanuel Sanders (Beasley already having been replaced by Jamison Crowder). Calvin Austin III is faster than Skyy Moore (4.32 v. 4.41), but Moore is considered the higher valued prospect. Moore should already be off the board by 69. If he isn't, Beane would probably be sprinting to the podium. It's also a very fair spot to take Austin (and many assume him to be gone as well). If neither are still there (and assuming Christian Watson, Alec Pierce, and Khalil Shakir are also gone) - then I'd look at who's on the board at the Offensive Line and try to secure a Velus Jones, Bo Melton, Tyquan Thornton, or Danny Gray in the coming rounds. I'd probably double up as well if Thornton or Gray is available later.

I assumed Skyy Moore was already off the board. If he manages to make it to your next pick, that's a no brainer to me. I'm of the mind our first pick should be a CB, no later than Round 2. A speedy WR needs to be selected no later than Round 3. A RB no later than Round 4.

What WR's are still on the board? Is Calvin Austin III or Alec Pierce available?

I don't think Shenault fits what we're looking for as an addition to our WR core. Beane and McDermott have been preaching needing speed. So I'm looking at guys who run at least 4.41, preferably faster. Shenault is a 4.58 guy

What's your issue with Spiller?

I like him and hope we take him. But I'm not taking him (or any Punter) higher than Round 5. Yes, he has a massive leg. The issue with him though is the following weaknesses, as listed on NFL.com: - Has relative disregard for touchbacks and coverage consideration. - Speedy operation allows less time for gunners to get downfield. - Needs better touch with nose-drop technique for coffin corners. So if we're punting inside our own 15 or 20, he's great. Otherwise, he's probably just booming it into the endzone.

We met with Isaiah Spiller at the Combine and he's coming in for a Pre-Draft visit. I don't see as massive of a drop off from Hall and Walker to Spiller as many of you do. I know some that actually like Spiller more.

He's one of my favorite WR fits for what Buffalo's looking for. There was a time when I was all in on him as our 2nd Round pick. When I do mock draft simulations, I always take him if he's on the board in Round 2. However, he reportedly has been flying up Draft Boards and could now be selected at the end of Round 1. I think 25 is too high for him. If there's a run at CB and WR where 5 CB's and 6 WR's are taken in Round 1 - maybe. But I think my strategy is CB Round 1 and then if he's on the board at the top of Round 2, try and trade up. Or if it does fall that way where 11 of the first 24 picks are CB's and WR's, I'd try and trade down for in an extra pick in Round 2 or 3 and maybe Watson is one of those top picks a little later than 25.

But you absolutely do not take one before CB and you absolutely do not take one of them at 25. I will say it until I'm blue in the face and bang the table over it.

Man, if we got Trent McDuffie in Round 1 and Kenneth Walker in Round 2 just standing pat at 25 and 57 - I would absolutely be doing backflips!

7 WR's went in Round 1 (Olave, Wilson, London, Burks, Pickens, Williams, and Dotson) and 5 WR's went in Round 2 (Watson, Pierce, Moore, Bell, and Austin). John Metchie III was the top available. If there is that kind of run at WR's, we may not be afforded the opportunity to wait until the 3rd of later.

Jameson Williams is reportedly the top WR on many teams Draft boards. I don't think we're gonna be able to sniff him at 25.

I don't think you and I were watching the same run blocking and run production late in the season and in the playoffs after Bates entered the Starting Lineup....

L O L The article is CLEARLY just a reporter pontificating on the Bills as a possible fit, given their needs, and even flat out says there seems to be nothing there. Meanwhile, Bleacher Report takes that and runs a totally misleading headline that gets everyone all hyped up. Ridiculous.

No, I don't think it does. I believe last seasons playoffs taught them that they can no longer have just one solid starter and one average starter at the CB position. Because if Tre goes down, they're in trouble and we were. The fact that they could have gotten Levi back on a fairly inexpensive deal and let him walk confirmed that to me. They want someone they think can be an upgrade. They aren't going to go the Dolphins route and pay top dollar for two veteran stars. So Drafting one and having them on a cost controlled Rookie contract is the way to go. It wouldn't shock me to see them trade up to ensure they at least get an Andrew Booth or Trent McDuffie, maybe even higher up if there's a Sauce Gardner or Derek Stingley still on the board at Pick 10 or later. Wouldn't shock me to see them give up a player or players like Epenesa, Moss, and Ford along with 25 and pick(s) next year. Having Tre on one side, one of them on the other, alongside the addition of Von Miller would completely transform their Defense, which was already ranked #1 last season, into something potentially unstoppable.

Rodger Saffold at LG and Ryan Bates at RG instead of Ike Boettger at LG and Rodger Saffold at RG. Everything else is accurate, so far. He's on my list of players that could be moved on Draft Day, alongside A.J. Epenesa and Zack Moss. If he isn't moved to a team that feels a change of system and scenery will bring more out of him, I expect him to be here. I don't see him being flat out cut 3 years removed from being a high 2nd Round pick, with a new OL Coach coming in that could revitalize him.

For the most part, this is true. However, for this situation, where we're talking about leaving Los Angeles, CA and a team that is the defending Super Bowl Champions - I don't care how good we've been, you're going to need to outbid them to convince someone to leave that and come here. Though I don't know if it would be fair to call that a "Buffalo Tax". Because it'd be the same thing for literally any other team in the league that wasn't the defending Super Bowl champs from LA.

I don't think he just came here for the money. He even said to McVay, it wasn't all about the money. He'd have taken a little less to stay with them. It was the money AND the fact that we're a Super Bowl favorite. He couldn't pass up the money and the opportunity to be the only player in NFL history to win 3 rings with 3 different squads. He seems to be a very deep person who obviously really loved being a Ram. He probably thought he wasn't going to leave there. So it was difficult for him to have to turn his back on them after publicly saying he wanted to run it back. I don't blame him for that. I also think part of it is he doesn't want his Rams fans and family to think he doesn't care and he just left for the money. He wanted to show them he did care about them. By acting in this fashion it changes the narrative from "screw you Von" to "aw we loved you too Von, we're rooting for you even though you're no longer here". And honestly, even if he did just come for the money (which I don't believe is the case), I wouldn't really care. Because he's not the type of player to take the money and not put in the work. He's an all timer when it comes to preparation and production. And to me, having that is all that matters to me. Yeah, I don't think we've ever had a Buffalo Bill who's been on Dancing with the Stars and Saturday Night Live. He's a next level Superstar.

I think we all expected Hughes wasn't returning after this season. The writing was on the wall. Von Miller being signed sealed it for me. It's a lot to ask and expect Jerry Hughes to come back for pennies on the dollar, in a rotational role, and take a backseat to Von Miller after 9 years with the team, most of which as the unquestioned leader of the Defense. I think it would be an uncomfortable dynamic for both he and Von. I believe if anyone's coming back and doing that, it'll much sooner be Mario Addison than Jerry Hughes.

I'm not 100% sure either will be there. But I feel it's more likely one will be available there then it is one will go on Round 1 and I still firmly disagree we should take one Round 1.
