  1. The NFL is a tough place to get live gameday experience. Dude has plenty of physical tools, but has not played that many games. I agree with OP, 0% chance we lose to Richardson. Flacco gives them a shot at the upset.
  2. I know special teams are hard to quantify, but here are Rick Gosselin's rankings of the Bills under McDermott. 2017- 7 2018 - 31 2019 - 12 2020 - 8 2021 - 8 2022 - 5 2023- 28 https://rickgosselin.com/category/special-teams/ Gosselin's ranking seem to account for most of the basic categories. They are not perfect but they are as good a measure as any. And achieving a consistent top 10 ranking really has to be a priority IMHO. I believe we have had very few big splash plays on ST recently outside of the huge Hardy return against Miami last year. The "glory days" Bills SB teams seemed to me to have a huge special teams play on a weekly basis. Now that could be my rose colored glasses, but Tasker, Pike etc. seemed to always flip field position, cause a turnover or whatever to swing the flow of the game in our favor. I'm not sure the best way to get there. We do need some better ST players, I think. And not just K, P, Returner. Our 2020-2022 ST seem to be a strong point based on the rankings above.
  3. To be fair, he has made enough money in his career that he likely does not need to work again in his lifetime and his kids will have some semblance of generational wealth. Lets not compare to a guy just getting by or just coming up who needs to make all he can to secure a future for himself and his family.
  4. I call it 3.5 plus games. The plus is because we won on the road and hold the h2h. Their chance to split the season series comes in our house.
  5. Paired with Allen, we might finally get the technobot-prophesied 500+ yard, 7 TD, wet-dream, GOAT performance of Biblical significance. Its only Biblical if it comes against Kansas City in the playoffs lol. Thanks for sharing.
  6. In the playoff game last year, Jones crashed the pocket and hit Allen's arm causing the pass to Shakir (who was wide open in the middle of the field) to fail. It was the second down play preceding the missed FG to tie the Chiefs.
  7. Realistically, Id love to IL Bass for a month. Let him get his head right if possible. Rather than waive him outright
  8. The big question is where will they play next year. I read that it would take 9 figures to fix the Trop and since they are building a new stadium, not gonna spend that on the old one. And the Trop has no drainage, so really cant play baseball there with no drainage.
  9. I am pretty certain our safety upgrade will be Micah Hyde right after the bye week.
  10. They gave him a final ovation at last nights game. Was a nice tribute. Bills fans and Jets fans stood and clapped.
  11. After having attended the game last night in person and watched that atrocious second half of football by both teams, I would have to concur lol
  12. It depends on the type of share certificate they purchase. In a situation like this, the minority interest may be highly customizable. Lets equate that to you purchasing a share of Disney stock. You would get the appreciation value when you sell it, but would also get income every year as Disney declares dividends. Of course, you could also vote your share every year also. In this case, I would suspect that the minority interest would have appreciation value, an annual stream of income attached to it and certain voting rights. The shraes may also have re-sale restrictions such as they may have to offer it back to the Pegulas first and/or the Pegulas have to approve any buyer etc. These types of purchases will be highly cutomized given the amount of $$ involved and the fact that the asset is not very liquid.
  13. The Big Tree is the classic place, great atmosphere. ONeills is a younger crowd but definitely fun. I have not been to the others on a gameday so I cannot comment.
  14. Every time you buy a share of stock in a company, you buy a minority stake in that company. So, if the company makes money and the value of the share rises, you make money. Same idea generally.
  15. I was at the game. So I'm not sure what was shown on TV, but we had Rousseou and Espensa lined up on opposite sidelines about 7 yards off the LOS and 3 yards from the sideline. Waaaay out wide. Trying to keep the ball inbounds on a quick throw to ensure the Jets could not stop the clock and get their FG team on the field (they had no timeouts). Everyone else was deep or in the middle of the field with 2 pass rushers. I cannot recall ever seeing a formation like that. It may have worked if we had 2 more pass rushers and sacrificed the middle of the field for more pressure. Still covered the deep middle obviously.
  16. Nothing wrong w blonde newscasters and big bags of coke lol.
  17. We didnt have the right players. A dominant D-line is how the Giants beat Brady in 2 SBs.
  18. You sure about that? I'm pretty sure Woj will drop a bomb when he gets a top 35 recruit to commit to St. Bona....lol
  19. His name is John W. Burns. You cannot make that up Does the "W" stand for "Watch It"?
  20. Same w my husky. I held her head, she stared at me, I kissed her as the needle went in. She looked at me, let her head down in my hands and went to sleep. Peaceful for her. For me...well I was a wreck the whole drive home. And yes, worst part of pet ownership by a country mile.
  21. I love this approach. I also think it was necessary last year given that Brady took over a listing ship midseason...simply to what we do well and take it from there. Worked wonderfully. And I do believe that Brady is a great offensive mind. And he had all offseason to develop a plan with these players. Its gonna be a good plan we see this season (I hope Im right).
  22. I actually think the opposite. Permitting the sales of minority interests in the teams will enable the asset-rich owners to get some cash and properly do some estate planning. Given the valuations of teams (which will only rise), the number of potential majority owners is tiny. And those mega billionaires could buy/move teams wherever they wish. At least this way, there is at least a chance a team could be passed down through the family. Most teams that are passed down like the Giants and Steelers have trusts that were established before the skyrocketing valuations so the mechanisms are already in place. The Bills do not have that. So, unless we find another Terry Pegula in 15 or so years, we could be in some trouble. This would allow Terry to create a trust, pay the taxes now and pass the Bills to his daughter if he so chooses.
  23. Hello - hoping to find the Bills Backers bar in Burlington VT for my son who just started attending UVM. The Facebook page doesnt seem to specify which bar is the official backers bar. Any info is much appreciated. Thanks!
  24. Short version of a speech I have long admired...
