  1. Yes. It's not like Monos had the answers when it was his job to build the Bills. So why does he get to second guess our current, far more successful regime? It's like Rex Ryan taking about McDermott having a lack of commitment. 😂
  2. After committing to Buffalo then reneging on his deal. Even when the Bills gave a UDFA a shot Yeah, I heard of him.
  3. "Whatever they are doing didn't work." See, I'm an expert.
  4. You are quoting a stat, not predicting the future.
  5. Miami is not far behind us and the Pats could turn things around quickly. I'm not worried about the Jets. Again, we delude ourselves with our own narratives.
  6. Man, the sense of entitlement here. Don't let karma hear you. "Just show up." This is what I'm talking about. Magical thinking. 50/50 odds. More like 2/98 odds
  7. So it takes balls to screw up a good thing? People are convincing themselves that McDermott is all that's keeping us from winning it all, and that anyone we hire next will finish the job because we are so close, and there's no chance that a new head coach will set us back.
  8. What I meant was this holographic stadium shows a canopy that goes completely around the stadium. This was a design that was proposed way back. But I think the stadium they are actually building leaves the endzones uncovered. Am I wrong? Edit: Apparently I am wrong. I just watched the drone video and it shows a covered end zone. So never mind.
  9. Isn't this an old version of the new stadium? I thought the end zones were uncovered now in the latest version?
  10. We couldn't sell out a single Jays game when we had them during COVID. And I'm talking about when attendance caps were lifted. Largest crowd was 13,000. Sahlens Field holds over 16,000. I totally don't get this. What does original mean here?
  11. Would you trade the Bills for an NBA team? Because you can't have both. The Bills are a regional team and has a following nationwide now. An NBA team would be starting from scratch and would rely on a fan base travelling shorter distances because some games are on weeknights. Here is a rank of average NBA ticket prices from last season. Indiana was the lowest at $138.
  12. Not really. Let's be really generous and include Niagara Municipality (Ft Erie, Niagara Falls, St. Catherines), Hamilton city, Haldimand and Brant Counties. That is a combined population of 1.2 million, about equal to metro Buffalo (Erie, Niagara and Cattarugus counties.) So that makes the Buffalo region 2.4 million. That would only place us between #26-#29 along side cities like Las Vegas, Austin, Sacramento, and Pittsburgh. More realistically you'd only count Niagara Municipality, an area within 45 minutes of downtown Buffalo. That population is 500,000. That puts Buffalo at #37-39 along cities like Norfolk. Providence and Jacksonville. Buffalo by itself is only 1.2 million, rank #50. When you look at how many cities are larger than Buffalo yet have no major franchises, you realize how lucky we are. We got the Bills and Sabres when we were larger and more important. Since then other regions grew while we shrank. So no, we aren't getting an NBA or MLB team. And be aware what you're risking when you say you want Terry Pegula to sell the Sabres.
  13. Rich was offered the Expos for $190MM and turned them down. That whole MLB Buffalo push was just to get the stadium built.
  14. Even the Toronto Raptors have trouble getting and keeping top talent. Successful? They draw some of the smallest crowds in MLB. They've only been competitive recently and they are about to leave town over the stadium situation. We'll never know because the NBA isn't coming to Buffalo in a million years. Buffalo is fortunate to have 2 major league franchises being such a small market. Getting back to the original topic, along with the Bills and Sabres, you also have Bandits indoor lacrosse and Bisons minor league baseball. There's a push to bring a USL-level 1 soccer team to Buffalo, along with building a new stadium downtown. How much money will be left for indoor football?
  15. Seriously. A perfect use for that soccer stadium sitting empty. This will never happen. Buffalo can't support any more major sports, especially one with no salary cap like MLB.
  16. For those who don't remember, the Destroyers were an Arena Football League team that played five seasons in Buffalo (1999-2003) before moving to Columbus. They were never that good. 6-8 was their best year. But now two former Bills greats, Stevie Johnson and Fred Jackson, want to bring an Indoor Football League (IFL) franchise to Buffalo and revive that Destroyers name. https://www.wivb.com/sports/former-bills-stevie-johnson-fred-jackson-working-to-bring-arena-football-team-to-buffalo/ I've been to a few indoor games and I really can't get into it. It just doesn't feel like football to me. I'd rather see a UFL spring team in Buffalo. What do you think?
  17. Kinder Bueno is awfully good.
  18. Where's Shaun Dolac?
  19. And two byes, and probably games on Wednesday and/or Tuesday.
  20. It'll be a real shame when we fire everyone.
  21. He was an idiot then. What changed?
