HS team executes brilliant underhand thrown fake punt
JP51 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
LOL, this was the perfect spot on the field to do it... even if it gets picked its still like a punt... it hits the ground the start from the 40 ... you get it you have them shaking their heads for the rest of the series... I wonder if they scored? -
its always nice to get some love... but in the end... lets play and see what happens... I would be happy to see Josh royally scr#wed out of an MVP in exchange for an SB... I think he would too... I dont put much stock in MVP stuff, I feel like it is a marketing and popularity contest.

NFL 2024 Kickoff: Ravens @ Chiefs, Sept 5 - 8:20pm
JP51 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think this makes the most sense... tbh. But... its a loooong season. -
I like the part about they met on line for their date... he didnt know she was a reporter looking to dice him.... and he calls NFL players dumb as he\\ ... so there is that... But but... I thought she was really into me... 😅

Blue Jerseys, White Pants, the classic look for the Home Opener
JP51 replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like AZ coming into 50 and rainy with a little bit of wind. I think we are better off in our own element... yes I get it impacts the passing game but it impacts them more than us... -
I agree... and further to that, our opinions are just that... based on the information we see and interpret. We are not privy to the inner workings of the FO nor should we be. we are just left reading the tea leaves and stating our thoughts...

Record 10-7 Playoffs - Definite Maybe.

Love the speculation on the precipice of a season... wonder how things and opinions will change week to week. As with everything 2024 Bills so many if's involved. as far as how will he do... I like his focus on a bit more of a balanced attack. Not 50/50 run pass but enough to make the D honor the run and effective enough to close out games and chew clock. I like him letting Josh be Josh. I liked his 2 TE involvement. I like he is involving his players in the play choice focus... as long as he is retaining control and focused on individual opponents. I wonder if he allows 17 more latitude at the LOS to make adjustments and audibles based on the defense. I wonder if defenses were caught a bit off guard with his change in focus to the benefit of the Bills. I wonder how he will adjust to predictability I wonder if he will reign in the big play for sake of the consistent gain (I hope not).... I wonder if the dink and dunk is more of a strategy to be employed against the defenses we typically have issues with (Jets Jags to start) Lots of ifs and unknowns, in the end I expect my opinion and others will change a few times over the course of the season... I expect some ups and downs and learning curves. For that reason, I like enough of his small body of results and focus to hold optimistic that he will do well... but retain judgement until these questions and answers become more clear... and I am not gonna lie, when emotion of wins and losses become involved in opinion, I am gonna be prone to some extremes as this plays out, no matter how hard I try to be reasonable LOL... admitting this right now...

100% agree and I think to start that makes sense... it may just be who his is... The DH of the pass rush.

I think in general the lack of continuity and ability terrifies me. I suspect that our safety play was so stable it enhanced both our CBs and LBs. I am fearful that will not be as robust. As far as Hamlin, love him for who he is, as a safety honestly not so much.

I agree I dont see VM as an every down guy to start. Maybe his level of play dictates that but not to start.

I think there is a chance for sure that we see Hyde somewhere after October/Nov if we are in playoff contention and there are injuries... much like Klein and Norman last year.

Joe Marino: 1/4 of Bills 2024 salary cap is dead cap!
JP51 replied to JaCrispy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree and a necessary one... playoffs to me are a bonus, AFC East title huge bonus... that may be the way we make the playoffs... I think 2025 they are positioned to do more in a more educated way as we begin to find out who we have and how they perform. I also like we have solid draft capital in 2025 for either players or to move up. Minnesota finishing bottom 5 or 10 would be very nice. -
right love to know myself and be a fly on the wall.

Yeah my opening game being in another hemisphere and continent is bs

I honestly think this is the year of the if of the self examination. I think we need to see what we have and add youth to our core performers... I think giving them a chance to play things out is the plan and its a good one. If we find ourselves in serious contention well into the year, this could change. But for now... lets see what we have....

How big of a concern is the Safety position?
JP51 replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it is going to be concern especially if Edwards is out for a bit... I think ultimately you may see it show up in CB play and run support so may be a difficult year for Douglas and Benford and Elam.... with Milano being out I worry about being gashed for 10-12 yards too often. -
at halftime LOL

Just a thought.... less about your post, but more about how your post sets up the question... I wonder... (I dont know... just wonder) If Diggs catches that pass... brings it to the house, we beat KC at home.... go on to win the AFC and lose in the SB.... is Diggs still with the team now?
-
I say absolutely not.... then again ask me after a loss... I might say something different LOL 😆
-
exactly... its just the stress the put on people... not so much me as I have other ways to watch but it just gets annoying each year .... but like you said, its a business and it will do what it will do...
-
I understand that but cable services and dish tv do it as well... my point is there has to be a better way for the service providers to resolve differences and continue programming other than threatening loss of service and making the play to get them to switch providers for what seems like every year. Thats all

I wish him well... talk away... do your thing... to me the talk amounts to a big whatever.... he produces or he doesn't. In the end I care to the extent that it impacts the Bills. I certainly dont want him to put up 200yrds and score the winning TD in OT against us... but in the end what I care about most is are we better with or without him. The only thing I have to really judge this was last half of last year. We were better when his role was diminished and he wasnt the focus. Was this because his presence opened people up, was it a new OC, was it a freed JA, was it a better running game... I dont know. I do know that we were better when he was a piece of the O... not a center piece. So I have reason to believe that addition by subtraction could be a possibility. As for the conjecture and the talk coming from Stefon and the rest of the league that's awesome, time will tell... but I am more focused on JA, Shakir, Coleman, Samuel, Hollins etc... and how they produce as a group.

I have always said you cannot have greatness with out belief in something... if this helps them own a stake in the system and creates a belief than give it a go... but to your point, Brady must control the overall out put... that being said, I like the idea of beginning to give Josh more discretion at the LOS ...
