He needs to stop letting defensive sets dictate to him and just call the diversified offense that we've seen him be perfectly capable of calling.

If he stops outthinking himself, he'll probably be OK.

I bet a straightforward meeting with the head coach this week will get that message across very clearly.

I know Davis and Knox dropped passes but before we crap all over them, remember, Digs dropped the first pass attempt of the. Game

They wanted Levy fired. They wanted to bench Kelly for Frank Reich. They wanted to draft Johnny Manziel.

The logic was, since there is no bye before or after, to maintain the team routine during the week.

So you decide to change the routine two days before the game?

If you don't think jetlag etc had an effect on today you are crazy.

On top of that,  McD is the HC/DC, that's alot to keep up with. He has to give Dorsey freedom with the offense just to keep up.

If anything Dorsey is on the hot seat, which I wouldn't be in board with after one bad game.

Trouble is he's only had one really good game this year.

Did you read the part where I said the past 2-3 years?  How about you get a clue.  Everyone is welcome to their opinions but blatantly making up "facts" is pathetic.

Again, where are you getting your information?

It’s fair to question the Kincaid selection.

Were 5 games in.  Nobody has any idea what the plan is with 12 personnel.

We bludgeoned 3 mediocre/bad defenses and looked like a JV offense against the two defenses that can stuff the run… which is something 12 personnel is supposed to unlock.

He was a first round pick as a weapon on a team without a defined #2.

Long season.  Still time for that role to develop.   But so far, this team is apparently a “finesse” 12 personnel offense.  That’s not gonna fly when it matters.

I don't think anyone is questioning the pick, it's how he is being used.

Both passes were 55-60 air yards while under pressure. People here have completely unrealistic expectations about how far a QB can throw accurately.

If you want to blame Allen, blame him for not throwing it sooner, but the distance was as far as he could physically throw it under the circumstances.

I would agree with the sooner part on a couple of throws, the 2 point conversion for instance.

No I didn’t know it was an audible and I don’t believe you have that inside knowledge either. But let’s concede that it was an audible. Your QB should not be allowed to audible in that situation. Sometimes you have to protect Allen from himself. He opened himself up to a huge and completely unnecessary hit. And showed off to future opponents a great play design.

I am not at all surprised by the responses here. Basically “ everything worked out so what’s your problem”. That’s fine UNTIL everything doesn’t work out. The Allen 4th quarter interception with a big lead isn’t always going to get wiped out by a penalty. Reckless clock & game management will come back to bite you in the playoffs. You haven’t seen the Bills in the past fail to drill down on these type of issues in the past. Like 13 seconds? Yes everything fine, until it isn’t.

Your QB should always have the option to audible.

So after the Jets game & even before that there were those here that wanted to fire McD, Dorsey, & start all over they said that the Bills would never win anything with McD & that Dorsey wasn't the answer also that Josh wasn't the QB he use to be !

They had absolutely no faith in the possibility of the second year OC fitting the new personal into the scheme & being successful or would they even seem to want to give him a chance .

But then yesterday what happened 38 to 10 VICTORY ! The D held last years NFL rushing leader to -2 yds for the ENTIRE GAME & the Raiders only had the 3 possessions in the second half . But those that SUCK so bad led the team to a 38 to 10 VICTORY !!

Despite being a New season with New players, some new coaches it's the same old S**T no one sees any silver lining any where or the possibility of them being better just complain & fire every body because they suck  . I wonder how high they were jumping in the air while watching the boys score the way they did while watching the game ?

I don't get it ! How about this ? How about lets see how it plays out . I bet if they were to go all the way & all the haters jumped on board during the run to a championship but alas they would still find something to B**CH about .

I listened to Josh on his post game interview & if you go listen to it on the Bills app he said "I love feeling like I did last week, because it motivates me to be better & I learn from the experience" his out look on losing is so much more mature than many here .

I just hope the haters here learned something from the game & how the Bills as a hole bounced back and played better than the game against the Jets & the Jets didn't look nearly as good as they did against the Bills . Even with that said there were only a few plays in the Jets game that if played just a bit better the game would have been a W instead of a L .

And i would be willing to bet with what the Bills learned from the mistakes they made in the FIRST GAME OF THE YEAR that the out come of the next game against the Jets will be a bit different . And the team will be better for it in the long run .

    GO BILLS !!

How about 2 out of 3?

What's up, Bills Mafia. It's that time, woohoo!

Throughout the upcoming season, I plan on doing these posts on Fridays after the final injury report comes out (or Saturday if it's a Monday night game). That said, based on Freddie's Dead's idea (thanks, bro), we're rolling out week 1 a little earlier.

Back in May, I did a special offseason edition of "Excluding JA...biggest impact - Bills at Jets" after the schedule came out. I'm going to stick with my original prediction. Here it is:

"My impact player is Tre day. With his injury behind him, he’ll be a force again and it will start right away against Rodgers. He’ll have some pass break ups and won’t even be thrown to a lot because he'll be so dominant against who he’s matched up with. He’ll either spoil Rodgers debut with a late game INT or keep him flustered and off track by having an early INT and some pass break-ups."

Who ya got, Bills Mafia? (You can make a prediction even if you didn’t participate in the off-season prediction thread)

For the people who did participate in our special offseason edition of "Excluding JA...biggest impact - Bills at Jets" here were your predictions. You can keep your original prediction or give a new one.

Why? Well, primarily because being a pessimist is stupid and counterproductive.

But, here are some enumerated reasons for optimism:

    1) Year two of Dorsey in his job. Experience is valuable, and now he's going to have some more tools in the box. I'm really bullish on the tight ends especially.

    2) we have Josh Allen. So long as that alien clone supersoldier is our QB, we have a chance to win.

    3) Another year for Groot. Last year, the Frenchman had a sneaky 8 sack season, I see no plausible reason he can't build off it. I see at least 10 for Greg.

    4) no Leslie Frazier. Thank heaven.

    5) The pressure of expectation is shifted to lesser teams in the Jests and Miami. This team does better in that environment.

I could go on, but go bills

You forgot the third stic, realistic.

If he is getting stint done on his elbow and surrounding area you would see the red marks on his arm.

And also there is a tool you can use to soften the area and it makes red circles 🔴

My thoughts are he is wearing the long shirt so you do not see those marks.

Basically the are doing work in that area and they are not showing it.

And what would your answer be?  Bring in a guy with no experience in McD’s defense, whether rookie or vet? ?  Or stick with a veteran who knows the system as has performed fairly well within it?

When are fans going to get it through their heads that there is a salary cap in the NFL and because of that you are not going to have All Pros at every spot on the field?  If one were to listen to the hysteria this past off season we should have brought high priced guys in at MLB, WR2, RT.  That is not the way the NFL works.

    Anybody left in Carolina?

    The defense was on fire!

On their sixth straight day of practice, quarterbacks Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley and Josh Johnson had to operate in third-and-long situations during seven-on-seven and 11-on-11 play in Owings Mills. The struggle was even worse than what anyone could’ve predicted. Nine interceptions. Six false starts. One fumbled snap.

Jackson threw four interceptions, Johnson threw three, and Huntley, who also dropped a snap from the shotgun, had two. Most of the interceptions looked like they were intended for the defender, too.

Why are we discussing the Ravens ?????

Actually the o-line has taken a huge dive  this year.  Scroll down and you will see Sharp had Bills at #8 (not 28) last year preseason:

    21. Buffalo Bills

A year ago we were optimistic about Buffalo’s offensive line, ranking the unit eighth overall, but their placement has fallen to 21st this year. Spencer Brown must improve his production for this unit to surpass expectations. Brown ranked 27th out of 32 right tackles in pressure rate allowed in 2022.

That should show how much faith we should have in this ranking.

    1.  Travis Kelce – Kansas City Chiefs

    2.  George Kittle – San Francisco 49ers

    3.  Mark Andrews – Baltimore Ravens

    4.  Dallas Goedert – Philadelphia Eagles

    5.  Darren Waller – Las Vegas Raiders

    7.  Kyle Pitts – Atlanta Falcons

    8.  Evan Engram – New York Giants

    9.  Pat Freiermuth – Pittsburgh Steelers

    10. Dawson Knox – Buffalo Bills

I'm just a bit surprised to see Dawson squeak into the top ten.
