  1. I think having BFF having 2 meanings for us Bills fans would be cool. Italian, like Irish, Polish, German, Chinese, etc., were treated as specific "races" for decades. Given what my Italian friends experienced, this was true for Italians until "The Godfather."
  2. IMHO, Cincinnati should get home field if they win and both the Chiefs and Bills lose.
  3. This is atrocious. Teams will start resting players earlier. And the best teams deserve the advantage.
  4. At worst, the NFL is a distant 3rd behind the IOC and FIFA. That says more bad about the IOC and FIFA than it says anything remotely positive about the NFL.
  5. The NFL might be considering using the Damar Hamlin situation as a stalking horse to expand the playoffs.
  6. I expect that Buffalo and Cincinnati fans will view this differently from other teams' fans because their teams were directly involved. It is a heck of a lot harder to be callous when your favourite team is one of those involved.
  7. It has been hard, but we are Buffalo. We are tough enough to take it and come back stronger.
  8. I think one problem in the passing game with respect to the TEs and RBs is that the line has, to my mind, been so bad that they need to stay in and block, whence we are sending 3 WR into 6 or 7 in coverage. That will be the Achilles heel of this offense until it is properly addressed.
  9. The old Bills song tapes from the 1990's. The parody of "Day-o" always gets me going. The reason? In January 1991, my then-GF dumped me right before the playoffs, in part because she was annoyed that I wanted to watch Bills and Sabres games instead of watching "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (which I hated and still hate) with her. I can still hear her telling me, "no other guy I have dated liked sports -- especially like you do." I wore the pom pom from the 1988 playoff game against Houston the entire week in my red, white, and blue tie-dyed turban the entirety of Super Bowl week. I decided to come back to Buffalo for the game. Just outside of Wayne Gretzky-Villegas, erm, Brantford, Ontario, "Day-o" came on. It was at that point that I felt that getting dumped had been for the best for both of us and I truly caught Super Bowl Fever. Day-o. (Day-o) Me say "Day-o." (Me say, "Day-o.") Buffalo's going to the Super Bowl.
  10. This is my attitude. Let us get as healthy as we can and then take on all comers.
  11. If the league officiated to not bias itself towards the pass, then QB salaries would be lower because more teams would be successful running the football with merely solid QBs. Imagine if teams with merely ordinary quarterbacking but great running games and good defence had done well for the last couple of decades. Average QB salaries would still be higher than any other position for good reason, but they would not be getting ridiculous.
  12. As long as he is OK in the playoffs, I am not going to worry much.
  13. I don't know about anyone else, but the two types of weather I can't stand are windy and rainy or bitter cold. And I tolerate bitter cold better. What I want is a grass field because I think it is better for player safety and because I am nostalgic for games with mud in them.
  14. We don't do 2 of the 2 basics well: blocking and tackling. Currently, our defence seems to be getting healthier. So I hope that the rust comes off by playoff time and we execute tackling better. I don't know what to do about the blocking.
  15. Correct. However, you can blame both of those largely on coaching.
  16. I go to a local bar. If you are not in Buffalo, then try and find the Bills Backers bars.
  17. Let me know if I am doing this right. So what if they are 3 games better? We have not clinched 1st overall in the conference. The offence isn't putting up 40 points a game. We are no longer #1 in Vegas to win the Super Bowl. We have injuries. We still have losses. How did I do?
  18. Anyone else wish for a few more games with mud in them?
