    If Diggs were injured and yet still able to contribute, it reasons he would come ON the field on third downs or critical passing situations. Your first point is worthy. I don't see how he doesn't return to the Bills for one last season.

    All true. Injury speculation is part of the excuse shield. Still have to give Allen credit for his durability either way. Though it's frustrating the Bills are in the fortunate minority of having their starting QB available all year and yet still seem discombobulated this late.

    Bottom line is this team is sniffing the playoffs because of McDermott and his undermanned defense. And he’s certainly returning as head coach next season. I do still think he’ll be under less pressure next season missing the playoffs altogether at 10-7 as opposed to getting blown out in a couple weeks.

    There’s nothing ironic about the fact McDermott started beating Belichick only after Brady departed.

    That’s a fair assessment. Or perhaps lending personal support for what McDermott dealt with a few weeks ago. Belichick is classy.

    Allen is careless and inaccurate and (seemingly) confused and unprepared. His best plays are improvised. And rushing TDs don’t compensate for reoccurring flaws as a passer.
