What team has the best NFL message board in the world?
Sierra Foothills replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
There must be something about Bills fans... the Bills fan forum for native Koreans is pretty excellent. https://community.sigames.com/forums/forum/817-football-manager-korean-language-discussion/ -
Spencer Brown Injury Concern
Sierra Foothills replied to vtnatefootball11's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm sure you can kick my ass and everything but aren't Mai Tais kind of a girl's cocktail? And what kind of guy needs to drink before he goes to the dojo? Do you need the liquid courage? -
I laughed my ass off...

Here, maybe this'll help: "That little Clampett is a millionaire"

I remember Klecko clearly. He could play inside and outside and had great leverage. It was not unusual for him to forklift blockers and carry them back to the QB. He was a great player but IMO not a HOFer.

A few things about Gettelman come to mind: His first NFL job was as a scouting intern for the Bills. He was hired by Bill Polian in 1986 and spent 7 years in the Bills organization. When he was hired to be the Panthers GM in 2013 he conspicuously did not fire a single person. In his 5 years as Panthers GM, Carolina went 51-28-1 during the regular season and advanced to the playoffs in 3 of those years and won 3 NFC South titles. He truly sucked as Giants GM. He is a cancer survivor who underwent treatment for lymphoma in 2018 and is now cancer free.

You're right. It's a hugely pivotal year for the Ravens to see whether they get a good return on their immense investment in their QB, his new OC, and his new weapons.

Tim Graham, The Athletic: "Ron Raccuia was among seven dignitaries welcomed on stage for the ceremonial groundbreaking of the Buffalo Bills’ new $1.54 billion stadium. He sat at owner Terry Pegula’s right arm and was brought to the lectern first, introduced by the emcee as “instrumental” in the team’s business operations and having “a huge hand in making this stadium a reality.” "As the event unfolded, few likely noticed what wasn’t said for the next 31 minutes after Raccuia sat back down. These kinds of ceremonies feature a blizzard of shoutouts and thank-yous that quickly numb an audience’s ears. But those who paid close attention might have noticed that nobody — not Pegula, not Gov. Kathy Hochul, not Erie County executive Mark Poloncarz, not NFLcommissioner Roger Goodell — credited Raccuia as the Bills’ chief operating officer and lead stadium negotiator. Perhaps the silence should have been a hint. Six weeks after Raccuia stuck his golden shovel into the dirt on June 5, the Bills fired him, punctuating one of the most meteoric career arcs in Buffalo sports history and hitting yet another reset button within a Pegula front office."

Thank you. I thought it was just me.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong… the Ravens are a hated conference rival and we enjoy and hope for their suckitude… am I missing something?

Sorry. I never picked up that Pig Latin stuff. Thanks Jimmy.

Very proud of my Bills fans Brethren! There’s an old salutation “You’re a gentleman and a scholar.” Most of the time it’s a two strike proposition. In Marv’s case it’s two for two. Happy Birthday Coach! We love you!!!

That’s very gay… not that there’s anything wrong with that!

Jordan Phillips, I’m glad we got him back.

Regarding Ray, it seems like the days of the Bills putting all of their eggs in one basket (Shawne Merriman) are in the past. Not the same position though, no? -
Translation anyone?

You’re far from alone with that opinion.

While I understand the logic behind it, I agree with you that Monken is ill-advised in his restricting his QBs use of the wrist band. But in other ways they have gone all-in on supporting Jackson. They got him a new OC after his uneasy time with Greg Roman. They acquired Odell Beckham, Nelson Agholor, Laquan Treadwell, Melvin Gordon, and drafted Zay Flowers. On paper he has more weapons than he's ever had before.

Josh is struggling with the decision at this very moment. With his stature it's his call to make... the ball is in his court. A dayboff??? Is that like an afternoon delight? What are we talking about here? Just answer the question... From PFT: "At a time when plenty of quarterbacks have said they’re not interested in becoming one of the focal points of the Quarterback series on Netflix, Bills quarterback Josh Allen hasn’t said, “No.” He also hasn’t said, “Yes.” “I don’t want any outside distractions,” Allen said. “I don’t want any unnecessary distractions for myself or this team. I’m not saying that it would be. I’m a little undecided on whether I would want to do it or not. I go back and forth sometimes in my mind, but as of right now I’m just trying to be the best quarterback for this team.” This would be a great year for Allen to do it, from a viewer’s perspective. But the Bills have enough pressure already, enough things that could potentially go haywire." I'm sure Josh has had more than one conversation with Mahomes about this decision.

What’s Your Reason for Being on TSW?
Sierra Foothills replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Uhhh.... Jimmy Spagnola maybe????? -
And in the process he stumbled into the buttocks of Spencer Brown who was innocently waiting in line, thereby causing Brown's lower back injury. Why weren't we notified of this immediately?!?!?!??!!!

Come to think of it, Tommy Doyle and Spencer Brown must be close friends on account of them both being 6'8", playing the same position and being drafted in the same year. Did you or anyone around you ask Doyle how Brown's back was feeling? I'll hang up and listen.
