  1. To the bolded, had he thrown the ball at Murray's feet he would have saved another 2 yards. From the standards of Rob Johnson that was a good play.
  2. You're on your own. I got as far as two Cooks and Yorkshire pudding and then I thought my head was going to explode. This is a bad exercise on a Sunday morning. To the subject, I'd be excited to try to sign Dalvin Cook if we didn't already have his brother on the roster.
  3. Is your screen name a reference to Kevin Kolb? 😅 Slippery Rubber Mats Community Member 1.1k Location:Outside on a field where you least expect them To the bolded on Kyle Allen, for complete context he's entering his 6th season in the NFL after having started 2 years in college. His play yesterday is disappointing but as was pointed out upthread, Keenum didn't look like a world beater in his preseason debut for the Bills so there's that. I noticed that. I also wasn't very pleased with the ensembles worn by the athletic training staff and the strength coaches. Absolutely agree on the disconnect between what the Bills look for in a LB as opposed to what traditional football fans look for in a LB. On that subject has anyone heard anything about how Jack Campbell is looking in Lions' camp? Their you go again... Josh Reed also comes to mind. To the bolded, I can't remember a time watching the NFL that O-line depth wasn't thin across the league. There's maybe only 1-2 teams that actually have 5 solid starters much less backups.
  4. You'll have to watch it on Youtube but at least here's the link. I didn't want it to get buried in a thread where people probably wouldn't be looking for it.
  5. The Bills stated that they wanted to get bigger at WR. They also stated that they wanted to get faster. The thing that possibly works in favor of Isabella making the final 53 (in addition to another small, speed guy in Harty) is that Kincaid counts as a big receiver. When you add Kincaid to Davis and Sherfield, the Bills probably have enough big targets on game day. This may be a factor in Isabella making the final 53 ahead of size guys like Shorter, Shaver, Johnson, Atemon, and Patmon. Also, we're talking about a former 2nd rounder against a bunch of guys with not as much pedigree. A lot of teams loved Isabella coming out. It's not like he's JAG. Finally, Harty has a history of injuries. It might be wise to have 2 small, really fast guys who are interchangeable.
  6. Barkley played almost all of the 2nd Half with some players that might not be in the league in 3 weeks. So did Ferdinand. Kyle was also on pace for 2 interceptions. The story is played? Today was the first live football he's played since his death. I'm not sure what rules you're going by but I think you're being a little premature. Damar playing today was a big story for a lot of people. This subject can't be talked about separately from the rule changes regarding the single (and late) roster cutdown date.
  7. Hall of Fair maybe? Incidentally that composition is titled "Entrance of the Gladiators." I know... hard to believe. He's a brave young man. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marv_Bateman
  8. Has anyone bothered auditing how many players each team has in the top 100?
  9. Not to be confused with heartburn... aka acid indigestion. Just wanted to clear that up in case anyone's confused.
  10. There must be something about Bills fans... the Bills fan forum for native Koreans is pretty excellent. https://community.sigames.com/forums/forum/817-football-manager-korean-language-discussion/
  11. I'm sure you can kick my ass and everything but aren't Mai Tais kind of a girl's cocktail? And what kind of guy needs to drink before he goes to the dojo? Do you need the liquid courage?
  12. Yes, thank you @The Wiz I saw some reports that there was a priest staying close to the Bills sideline just in case the worst was to happen to Brown. https://shop.buffalobills.com/products/billmh1134-new-era-bills-blue-tonal-adjustable-hat
  13. I laughed my ass off...
  14. Here, maybe this'll help: "That little Clampett is a millionaire"
  15. I remember Klecko clearly. He could play inside and outside and had great leverage. It was not unusual for him to forklift blockers and carry them back to the QB. He was a great player but IMO not a HOFer.
  16. A few things about Gettelman come to mind: His first NFL job was as a scouting intern for the Bills. He was hired by Bill Polian in 1986 and spent 7 years in the Bills organization. When he was hired to be the Panthers GM in 2013 he conspicuously did not fire a single person. In his 5 years as Panthers GM, Carolina went 51-28-1 during the regular season and advanced to the playoffs in 3 of those years and won 3 NFC South titles. He truly sucked as Giants GM. He is a cancer survivor who underwent treatment for lymphoma in 2018 and is now cancer free.
  17. You're right. It's a hugely pivotal year for the Ravens to see whether they get a good return on their immense investment in their QB, his new OC, and his new weapons.
  18. Tim Graham, The Athletic: "Ron Raccuia was among seven dignitaries welcomed on stage for the ceremonial groundbreaking of the Buffalo Bills’ new $1.54 billion stadium. He sat at owner Terry Pegula’s right arm and was brought to the lectern first, introduced by the emcee as “instrumental” in the team’s business operations and having “a huge hand in making this stadium a reality.” "As the event unfolded, few likely noticed what wasn’t said for the next 31 minutes after Raccuia sat back down. These kinds of ceremonies feature a blizzard of shoutouts and thank-yous that quickly numb an audience’s ears. But those who paid close attention might have noticed that nobody — not Pegula, not Gov. Kathy Hochul, not Erie County executive Mark Poloncarz, not NFLcommissioner Roger Goodell — credited Raccuia as the Bills’ chief operating officer and lead stadium negotiator. Perhaps the silence should have been a hint. Six weeks after Raccuia stuck his golden shovel into the dirt on June 5, the Bills fired him, punctuating one of the most meteoric career arcs in Buffalo sports history and hitting yet another reset button within a Pegula front office."
  19. Thank you. I thought it was just me.
  20. Someone correct me if I’m wrong… the Ravens are a hated conference rival and we enjoy and hope for their suckitude… am I missing something?
  21. Sorry. I never picked up that Pig Latin stuff. Thanks Jimmy.
  22. Very proud of my Bills fans Brethren! There’s an old salutation “You’re a gentleman and a scholar.” Most of the time it’s a two strike proposition. In Marv’s case it’s two for two. Happy Birthday Coach! We love you!!!
  23. That’s very gay… not that there’s anything wrong with that!
