I also believe the OP may have meant by activating tre off pup so early maybe pushed tre to get back on field a tad early whereas if he remained rehabbing a few more weeks he might have had more trust in the repaired acl. It's common for it to take an additional year to get back from acl injuries. Once the 4 week countdown started he maybe pushed too hard and that would easily effect his confidence in acl stability. Edit this was meant as a reply to gugny as I agree with you YattaOkasan.

It's very possible the criticism on Josh dropping back so deep in preseason may have been him not trusting Dawkins and needing a wider angle of vision to see rushers from both sides. You get solid Tackles then Josh can take the quicker drops and with his various weapons can send the ball to whomever is open. Bills win overwhelmingly in those conditions when Josh is on and protected. Added benefit is you could really develop a few solid backups with a good oline. And they could be traded for players of need as they could be thrown into games once 1 seed is locked. Easy to let Josh have extra time off when everything is clicking.

He can carry the water jugs as part of his rehab so he can stay on PUP until he's not feeling like betty white needing a snickers bar.

I'd be happy with a solid Upgrade on oline if they identified where the weak link is. A solid oline is every qbs best friend.

Yes that's is pretty much true but you have to weigh the $$ to the value the player will have on the teams success. Team is toast without a healthy Josh Allen you protect that over paying a bell cow back.

Indeed let him also be 'chomping at the bit' so to speak wanting to be back on the field making plays. A fresh and eager Von Miller will be a fun watch. If it means it's gonna be in the latter weeks so be it. And never know the guys they keep might do a great job and hold their own that they may not need to play Miller too early but keep him very fresh for the stretch run and post season.

And it certainly is possible and I am not saying this is any fact, but if Elam would rather be on another team that maybe plays man much more he could be a bit slow to trying to excell in a zone system he may not care for. Not totally dogging it but just not letting the new techniques become muscle memory. He's gonna be signed by another team if he ever is deemed a bust for zone schemes. Might have to earn less until he breaks out in the other scheme if he even does. However these guys have egos that they often bet on themselves.

Yes it would need to be such a horrendous injury that it is very traumatic to everyone who sees it. I can imagine a few situ a tions which I pray stay as just a horrible imaginative scenario. The damar Hamlin situation was just so traumatic because he did die albeit they successfully perform reviving techniques that were successful. These guys have been playing long enough plus we're fans as youngsters no doubt to have already witnessed many serious injuries so it takes alot to traumatized them. I still don't like seeing the video of when Theismann had his leg snap in a game. Fairly gruesome imagery there. And I'm sure there's plenty bad injuries on film that I won't look for but rather I'd avoid.

I understand they are human have lapses but I just don't see them giving that type of personal judgement to someone on the TV media broadcast team. As well I don't think many of the TV crews aren't pretty good about saving such condos away from the mics, even if t hey thought they were off. Josh makes enough cash to treat his buddies to a small visit at his home. Or treat buddies to a nice vacation trip with him in offseason.
