So that's what I judge his efforts against. He falls in lazy category by those stsndards.

I like McDermott but I think he gives the players too much leeway on being self disciplined when they show they are not very self disciplined. I remember many critical of Marv Levy's Clubbed approach at his camps but he at least read the self discipline of his star players correctly. Bruce was famous for skipping preseason but when the real game began he was all in. Of these guys maybe Diggs is the only guy that has been consistent throughout. Josh doesn't seem to be totally focused on football as he claims to be. I don't even think he needs to be 100% football all the time. I do expect him to take it more seriously than he seems to. The video of them pranking Josh irks me in how casually he is taking what he thinks is doing a promo shot for his employer NFL and he's walking about barefoot as if he's at home. Not a very professional look. I've had workplaces where we'd donate a few dollars to have a casual Friday as a change up and that still didn't mean we could show up barefoot as if we were at home. Just thought it was a bad look. I want my well paid stars to show up to work and nor feel like they are relaxing at home on their own time. Particularly when they get massive time off each year to do as they please. Basically I do think there is a process that they need to adhere to and trust. But I'm finding it hard to believe most of these guys understand it as they aren't doing more than just mouthing the phrase. If they lip sync to Whitney Houston's star spangled banner it doesn't make them singers that are as good as Whitney was. Basically I put at least 75% on the players.

I wish he did them the devwould have a lot more running around to do and with that much weight behind it he'd have a great pushoff that would knock defenders off their feet more than is happening now. He's just causing his own movement to be effected in a negative way imo.

And lack of practice can be cause of injury as you get your reflexes and reactions back in shape via practice. Get idea on the field conditions and other small details that still can impact performance and make needed adjustments even as small as having the right cleats for field conditions.

On point 2 how much I'd the playcalling is Dorsey and how much is Josh checking into plays he wants. Perhaps he needs to stop improvising as much and let his weapons start making some plays as called and designed.

Except if he plays and he fakes blocking then releases out into some open area as does Kincaid from the slot as Diggs and Davis run their routes. There may be a cook out on a set route as well unless he gets his pass pro down and is taking out any delayed blitzer.

I still believe the cup was given away to Dallas in that no goal game. The game was turning in Sabres favor. It had the feel to it like many of the last minute victories that team seemed to win.

He had a contract to play RT once he showed at LT he was underpaid. I hated him forcing his way out of Buffali but I couldn't fault him who knows how much quicker the drought would have ended if he remained a Bill had they reworked his deal fairly. Easily could have made difference in making playoffs.

I'm really on the fence on this. Yes I hate how bad they looked but if any important starter gets hurt for a ps game that means zilch. And practicing them until they are beaten and tired won't exactly give them a leg up on the Jets week 1. I don't think the Jets can hang with a Josh led offense if he is on. Does Josh need the game reps to be at his best for the Jets opener.

You want to give them the game off but have they earned it? I'm not sure I want Allen out there or any of our starters yet if they are really this ill prepared then seems they need the work more than more time off.

Understood I want to see the DK twins in action and everything clicking. I'm gonna believe this ... McD and Tomlin worked put a scripted game and had Matt Barkley toss up 3 int. McDermott was only DC in Carolina under HC Rivera. He had little input in team rosters outside his defensive roster, and then who knows how much as Rivera is a defensive coach. He may have called all shots on players and schemes.

If that happened then Wrong Josh would morph into the WrongAllen show. No thanks.
