Practice fight (8/15) - Helmets are swinging
AuntieEm replied to Slippery Rubber Mats's topic in The Stadium Wall
No he likely has had some good plays it is just they never have been a Wow play that stays with you long after it was made. And I still remember the first game Bennett played with a number of plays that stood out. Same with most high end talent they make plays that are memorable even in the unglamorous task of the ol protections. I recall a play Teller made while he was still a Bill where he displayed his mean streak finishing off a pancake block. I do give Brown a slight pass as he was dealing with back injury which required surgery. Iowa is known to have good lineman so I'll hope Brown develops more and becomes a long term ot for the Bills but he has to be better than he has been. Same with with Dawkins. How Brown plays this year and barring any ew injuries I'll be interested in if he works on his game -- I'm sure there are a few 'oline universities' where he could improve whatever weaknesses he has based on the talent he faces. 1p To remain a Bill these days you better bring your A game each time they put on their uniform. -

The only 'mean' streak I've witnessed from Brown is when I've seen him yapping at some shorter players trying to make fun of them. Maybe that works in college but in the NFL you want to throw opponent off their game you outplay them. -
YouTube TV - NFL Sunday Ticket question

Lot of people travel for work and play so I'd imagine the availability of any game would be location at the time you select games to watch. -
Got your reference. He ain't heavy he's my I other song by the Hollies. Just thought since Jesus walks on water he's not gonna be heavy.
-
Nah he can walk on water so he is lightweight.

Hope you aren't in the military currently in this case. Hoping you work in a pillow factory. . -
Your suggesting that Oher himself couldnt have made good on his own. Hogwash, many people growing up in similar situations manage to succeed despite a troubled background. He was already an all ámerican hs player when he moved in with them but movie makes it seem like they taught him about football when that was not even close to the truth.

Sandra Bullockis not the problem. In fact I believe she has legally adopted a couple children and at least one was a black child. Ñot that it matters but seems like Sean Tuohy is claiming the family received alot less than what's reported in the story. Big discrepancy in the total he claims they got and what the story has them receiving and Sean claims Oher ģot an equal share whìch Oheŕ refutes. Be interesting to see what deals they made in others name as conservators. That will possibly shed light on true motivations.

Just an inside joke when he was drafted fans wondering if he was related to Judy Tenuta who had her 15 minutes of fame in I think late 70s.

He's just saying he looks at it as if they traded teller for poyer not that they actually did.

Josh Allen: Assistant Offensive Coordinator?
AuntieEm replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm sure it was so Allen had a part in the game. No doubt he would have preferred to be playing in the game even though he knows the injury risk is not worth it for a meaningless game. Yet the competitor and football player in him would rather play than sit out. -
Is Matt Barkley a better fit than Kyle Allen in this offense?
AuntieEm replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is why they have to keep adding to the ol until its a wall protecting Josh and any other qb we put in game, preferably at end of a game that just needs clock run out on a convincing win where they let Josh take a seat to avoid extra hits. If the ol is good enough then u can make do with less talent in your backup qb as they will benefit from a strong oline as well. -
If that's the only negative that's fine. Bills can overcome the odd tipped pass even for a int much better than having Josh get hit and banged up.
-
Don't know that people lose confidence in Barkley. More just knowing that much of the success has been Josh doing alot ìf the work. If the offensive improvements payoff then I'd expect Kyle Allen will look much better after he learns the offense better and syncs with the wrs. Even so it is not likely he will be as effective as Josh. With a franchise qb u load up on elite weapons that can make a backup qb look good, ala Kassel when Brady got hurt. Or the 90s Bills when Kelly was out I never worried we'd have bad qb play. Reich was not Kelly but he was a capable qb.
-
If we lost Josh for any significant game time in season I'm sure they would possibly sign a better qb to salvage the year and post season run. If season is already lost then it doesn't really matter who is playing other than to get them more exp to be better players going forward.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 1
AuntieEm replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is still new to this system and he will have the free time to learn it better during the year and if we have to put in another qb before he has learned it well enough we have Barkley to play. I'm sure if they feel K. Allen isn't up to the task they will look to bring in as more capable player after cuts. -
If they play well in preseason then could land on another team if they don't make the cut on Bills. In some cases the player may have a longer career on a less talented team.
-
I like Fitzpatrick, so I hope he stays retired. Hope he has few issues from the injuries he's had playing football.
-
Both suffered numerous concussions during their careers.

I don't know if I'd be so shocked. We have a good scouting department. And for perspective on how sure a need Kincaid was in his college career ... 138 targets only 2 drops which is over a 98% catch rate. This from a guy who only started playing organized football of any kind as a Jr in hs. He only started playing football the same time Dawson Knox has been playing for the Bills. Don't know the college career catch rates of any of the top wrs drafted this year, but I'm pretty sure very few top college receivers have a catch rate that high and I'm talking any wr, even those already in the HoF. I don't even think Kincaid is gonna maintain that rate as a pro, however it does appear he's always been surehanded catching passes. And I can see the Bills scouts taking that into consideration as well as being a nice variation to a top wr. He's taller and he won't draw the opponents top cb even if he starts out on fire don't think any team will take their top cb off Diggs or even Davis. Who is the tallest of any of the better cbs in the league? Most are in the 6' to maybe 6' 2"??? Josh can toss throws higher to a tall surehanded pass catchers.
