  1. Edmunds and a 3rd round pick straight up for Bradbury and Barkley who says no? Time for Beane to fleece his protege.
  2. Interesting that the Saints chose continuity even though they may truly be in a full rebuild mode this year given the expected departure of many key veteran players contracts they need to unload. But then again the NFC South in 2022 is shaping up to be the NFC East from 2020 in that every single team may be very bad and whoever can get to 6 or 7 wins worst will win the division.
  3. I'll be honest this move is a bit perplexing because it seems like a retread may have been the better option for Miami given they are essentially set up to win now with their talented roster and all the other assets they have in cap room and draft picks. But apparently McDaniel is pretty highly regarded so will be interesting to see what happens there even though they are still chasing both the Bills and Pats at the moment.
  4. This is an interesting move since Fromm is also already on the roster. Throw in Trubisky and the 2022 Giants QB room is going to look very similar to the Bills last year minus one key guy of course.
  5. Love this move for Schoen and Daboll and it shows they are looking to run the exact opposite type of defense in NY than in Buffalo. Obviously it will only work if they have the right players in the front seven and still think this might be the best opportunity to trade Edmunds assuming they want him.
  6. Smart move by the Pats and it seems there is always a home waiting in Foxboro for all these former Pat's assistants that fail elsewhere at head coaches.
  7. I'm still not sure why anyone believes McKenzie is some sort of drop in replacement for Beasely or is a 700+ yard WR in the waiting. It's no secret this regime has misused players and not been the best evaluators of what talent they actually have on hand, but there is nothing in McKenzie's body of work to suggest he's anything more than utility/depth WR in this league and the Pats game was merely an outlier to this point. Long story short, it's time to move on and think bigger and if he goes to the Giants with Daboll and has marginally better production there good for them.
  8. There's a reason why Frazier did not get a HC gig again this year, and it's not just because of how the season ended in the playoffs against chiefs. I still have to believe there is real discussion on moving on from him and if that does happen will be sooner than later while there are other viable candidates still on the market.
  9. This one is still a head scratcher in terms of Beane restructured his deal. And unless he works some real magic in some sort of trade or restructure again we are almost stuck with a guy who it's clearly time to move on from.
  10. People will laugh at this but I could see it as a good move for the Patriots. He fits that mold of a guy that's a good coordinator but probably was in over his head as a head coach.
  11. Food takes aside, I'm 99.9% certain that Feliciano will never play a down for this team again which is a great thing.
  12. My gut feeling tells me the Bengals will win and the next Mahomes/Brady is born in the eyes of the media anyway. In fact there are certainly a lot of parallels to be made since Brady won his first SB in his 2nd NFL season even though he was essentially a rookie/1st year starter in 2001.
  13. Actually Belichik and the Pats hinted that they had targeted Jones as QB1 all along and it looks like a genius move on their part because they didn't even need to trade up for him. 5 years from now Jones may or may not be the best QB taken in the 2021 draft but I don't think there's an argument that he's the best one right now based on the season the Pats had last year. Still think a lot of Bills fans are selling him short just because he doesn't have the ungodly raw talent Allen does. Jones can be a great player in this league especially if he makes a big jump in year two.
  14. As long as JA17 doesn't get hurt or has a major regression I think this team should be in the playoff mix for the foreseeable future. However I would caution the fans that have a more rosy outlook on the near and long term future for several reasons: 1) It's still very possible that McDermott is not the long term answer here and blowing a road PO game is only going to add fuel to those flames all offseason and into the 2022 season. I think anything short of a SB appearance next year and there's a very chance he could be replaced. 2) The AFC is loaded, Mahomes already has 2 SB and a championship and Burrow at worse just got to a SB in his 2nd NFL season after missing half his rookie year to a serious injury. Plenty of other good young talent in the conference as well including Mac Jones, Herbert, Jackson, etc. 3) I still don't see this team taking the next step until wholesale changes are made on the defensive side of the ball and as of right now it appears it's going to be status quo in terms of coaching/scheme which means we'll likely just be relying on more draft picks to improve unless Beane swings a big time trade for a pass rusher.
  15. I tend to agree with this. Allen is/was such an anomaly in terms of draft evaluation and defied every statistical norm that said he would never amount to anything much in the NFL especially after his first 2 seasons and where he was trending. Of course this is not going to stop 31 other NFL GM's and front offices from trying to find 'the next one' so to speak.
  16. Would essentially be a lateral move or downgrade going from Tannenhill to Trubisky IMO.
  17. For me it's all about consistency and if Knox follows up his 2021 campaign with a similar season in 2022 it's a no brainer you try and lock him up long term. However the biggest hurdle becomes money and he'll certainly be looking to be paid like a top 3 NFL TE.
  18. This is a massive story and the ramifications are far reaching. We truly aren't going to be able to fathom the impact this is going to have on next year's season for months to come, not just the Bills but entire league.
  19. Another potential massive subplot here to monitor is does this story lead to Belichik stepping down as Patriots HC and retiring because of the unintended distraction? While he certainly didn't do anything wrong here, he's never going to be able to dodge the media asking about this over and over again throughout the offseason and into next year. Would really suck if that's how the best head coach in NFL history's career comes to an end..
  20. I'm sure it had more to do with JA17 and writing a fatter paycheck than the Giants were going to. Also given these comments brought to light today, McDermott will likely be pulling the strings and dictating what type of offense to run and that should scare the hell out of Bills fans.
  21. Believe what you like my friend but the evidence is starting to pile up that McDermott is in over his head. And this started long before he figured out how to single handedly blow the Chiefs game and blow one of the best shots this franchise had at a SB again since the 90's.
  22. He's pulling his 'Kaepernick' move and the timing couldn't be more perfect as today is the beginning of black history month. He'll never coach in the NFL again but is likely going to become a multimillionaire in the process anyway just like Kaepernick did.
  23. This is 100% believable and probably accurate given everything we know today. It was blatantly obvious there was some sort of power struggle going on throughout the season based on McDermott's public comments alone. Also makes sense they didn't waste much time trying to bring in an outside hire to fill the OC spot and stuck with a guy who will probably be forced to be McDermott's lackey in Dorsey. I think as more information leaks out from coaches that have already left and others likely out the door soon that there's trouble in paradise so to speak and this another reason McDermott's seat may be very hot in 2022.
  24. This is a very bizarre story and somewhat of a sour grapes move by Flores. He's also essentially blacklisting himself and effectively ending his NFL coaching career.
  25. Yesterday Mahomes and Reid both publicly said that their expectations every year is to win the SB and anything less is a disappointment and not acceptable. Therefore I love to see McDermott and Beane take this type of public position in the offseason so the accountability is truly there. Because if that's not the expectation for this organization at this point something is inherently wrong.
