  1. Sounds like deals may be hard to come by this year if anything because DTV/ATT knows their contract for Sunday Ticket is coming to an end soon. If you are a long time DTV customer though I still recommend playing the 'cancel service' game following these steps: 1) When you call their 800 number and you get the automated directory specifically say you want to cancel service and it will bypass normal customer service and take you to the loyalty department. 2) Once connected to loyalty with a live agent if they won't play ball tell them you want to cancel service but not immediately and have your service set to disconnect at the end of the month. 3) After that within a few days you will typically get their last line of defense loyalty people that call you back and will give you their best offer to stay which usually includes NFL sunday ticket for free for at the very least heavily discounted. I've heard it all depends on what offers you already have applied to you account, how long you've been a customer, and if you pay your bill on time, etc in terms of the algorithm their system give each specific customer in terms of offers/discounts.
  2. I still can't believe we traded a 3rd rounder for this bum. Definitely Beane's worse move here by far but he was only a rookie GM at the time and it's not like it set us back too much given the current state of the roster and WR depth chart.
  3. Even if Allen has reached his ceiling as an NFL QB he's right up there as a franchise type of player and top 10 at the position. If he continues to get even better look out....
  4. Given how stacked the WR depth chart is at best Kumerow makes it as a 6th or 7th WR and is mostly just a ST guy. So if Rogers and GB really want him and would be willing to offer even just 6th round pick I would jump all over that deal.
  5. I also feel this way and I still remember losing to them a few years ago when they had Freddy Kitchens as their head coach and thought that was the one terrible loss that kept us out of the division title picture towards the end of the season. Also agree that Mayfield is the key because right now it's not really an argument in terms of whose better between him and Allen, but if Mayfield does get better the Browns instantly become a serious SB contender if they aren't already. Either way we don't have them on the schedule and will only have the playoffs as a possible matchup with them. I'm curious to see what they do against the Chiefs in week one though because if they do go in their and smash them it might be very telling in terms of what the AFC landscape is going to look like in 2021.
  6. I'm a bit concerned with Hughes injury. This is likely his final season in Buffalo and really need him 100% with no lagging type injury excuse if the dline doesn't produce again this year.
  7. Even if we don't make any other additions at TE I can't see Gilliam making the roster but pretty sure we can easily get him onto the PS if we want to keep him around.
  8. Don't forget the Browns played most of last year without OBJ and are getting him back in the mix now which could be scary alongside a top 5 rushing offense. I think the biggest xfactor with the Browns is defense, on paper they certainly look elite especially the dline and secondary. At this point I'm still not sure who's 2a and 2b behind the Chiefs when looking at the Bills and Browns.
  9. I mentioned this but only under the premise that Fromm looks like a legit NFL QB this summer and we can also flip Trubisky for a 3rd rounder to a needy team. Getting a 2nd for him though would be a deal I'm not sure I pass up on even if Fromm doesn't do anything of note. Pretty sure the only real interest Barkley is going to get at this point is to be an emergency/covid QB on another teams practice squad so we can likely get him back anytime if needed.
  10. He'll be signed sooner than later but he's going to face the same challenges and sky high expectations that Darnold, Sanchez, etc did to perform and become a franchise QB in an unforgiving NYC market. And given what is known about his personality and background it certainly don't seem to be a match so far.
  11. I don't consider the Bills moving on from him a mistake simply because he's a rare case of a late bloomer. But it seems like TE is the one position we've never truly been able to figure out despite so many stud players at the position being drafted in the mid rounds or later. Hopefully Knox emerges but i still think Ertz is very much in play and should be if we are truly going all in to win a ring this year.
  12. Not sure any of these are necessarily 'bold' but I could see any of the following happening: 1) Jake Fromm looks great in camp and we trade Trubisky to a team that loses their starter to injury in camp and get a good pick in return (i.e. 3rd rounder or more) 2) Addison is cut or traded regardless of his cap hit. 3) We make a surprise move at DT and Harrison Phillips and/or Star L is cut or traded (also regardless of cap hit) 4) I think someone mentioned this but Cody Ford is also cut or traded as he continues to disappoint or gets hurt again. 5) Antonio Williams emerges and makes Moss or Singletary available for trade or release. 6) We finally trade for Ertz or sign him if when he's inevitably released.
  13. Seems accurate, the only argument you can make is having Diggs over Tyreek Hill but it's great to have an elite #1 WR again regardless.
  14. I have a feeling Richard Sherman was also on the radar to be this years 'Josh Norman' type of move but obviously that's off the table now as well given his recent incident. But regarding the cap space comment, they could and should have freed up more money dumping guys like Addison and Butler but for some reason gave them the old 'Carolina benefit of the doubt' and simply restructured. And for all the 'run it back' hype with the Bills and fans feeling they should be getting same love as Tampa, big difference is Tampa destroyed the Chiefs and won a SB with the same roster where the Bills got smashed twice by the chiefs are basically hoping that 2 high draft picks + star Lout returning are going to magically change the pass rush and overall defense when they inevitably have to go through the Chiefs again in the playoffs. And speaking of the Chiefs, did they 'run it back' after losing in the superbowl. On defense maybe but they addressed their biggest need in a major way overhauling their entire oline with key players.
  15. It's truly a year to year league and that's what concerns me most about all the national media love and hype for this team is how truly difficult it's going to be to even win the division again, let alone get to another AFCG and/or beyond again. But I do agree that barring injuries, at worse the Bills should be a top 3 or 4 team in the AFC.
  16. They are both powerhouse contenders right up there with the Bills, we've proven we can beat the Ravens and Lamar although some still think our playoff victory should have an asterisk because of Lamar leaving the game early to injury. Regarding the Browns, it remains to be seen where we stack up but personally I think they are a bad matchup because their strengths play to our weaknessess particularly their oline/rushing offense vs our front seven. Also think their defense is a notch ahead of ours overall and I still think about how we lost to them a few years ago when they weren't even very good under Freddy Kitchens coached team.
  17. I'm not saying we missed out on Nelson, but at the same time I don't understand what this team's thought process is at DB especially if heaven forbid White were to get hurt for a significant stretch of time. Yes there is some potential with guys like Dane Jackson, but a marginal undrafted player like Levi Wallace isn't magically going to get better at this stage of his career and he has proven to be a liability on the field over and over again when it matters and certainly not beating the Chiefs with him as a key piece of the secondary.
  18. If we could legitimately swap out of Addison and another marginal player for Jones who says no to that deal?
  19. It's a shame that Big Duke can't see the field here especially after his big game in the playoffs against the Texans a few years ago but we have a lot of talent at the position. Biggest mistake this team made though was keeping McKenzie on the roster last year when I felt Duke should have been in that role.
  20. This is hard to guess because on one hand if we do score over 500 points again it probably means the defense has not improved (or heaven forbid worsens). Therefore I would guess we probably don't score 500 points again but still field a top 10 offense with the defense looking more like the 2017 - 2019 version we saw which means we play more gritty low scoring affairs.
  21. Not really sure where he fits in and at best he's competing for a 3rd TE spot on the roster (assuming we even keep 3 and/or don't make a power move for a guy like Ertz). He flashed a few nice things early in the season last year including a TD catch but then did virtually nothing the rest of the season so would be very surprised if he's on the roster this year.
  22. Chargers could be a real contender as soon as this year. And it was somewhat of a shrewd move by the Chargers front office passing on an offensive guy like daboll for their new head coach and hiring a defensive guy like Staley because if anything offense wasn't the problem there plus we got to keep daboll for at least one more season and SB run. Don't sleep on the Raiders either, they were a few plays away from sweeping the Chiefs last year and had one of the better offseason on paper as the pressure is mounting there on both Carr and Gruden to make the playoffs and some noise.
  23. The window is only open so long in this league this why it's hard to fathom what Brady and Belichik we able to do for the greater part of 2 full decades....not 5 years, 10 years, but almost 20 years of utter dominance of the AFC East and NFL as a whole. And assuming Josh Allen is truly an elite franchise QB I expect to follow a model similar to John Elway, Aaron Rogers, etc....compete and/or win a SB early in career, and then be set up to do it again later in career with a possible lull in the middle do to roster turnover, transition and lacking depth due to the top heavy investment in QB and a few other key positions.
  24. One thing that is lost in this discussion is in regards to Beane/McDermott - we are now at the point where getting to the playoffs every year is not good enough. This team is going to have to get to the SB and win at least one championship in the next 2 or 3 years or then you start thinking about a new head coach/front office that can get over the hump so to speak. This is why at least for me all eyes will be on the Chiefs game and more importantly the playoffs against them again if that materializes because regardless of the venue McDermott needs to prove he can beat Andy Reid and he won't do it with the same gameplans that were rolled out last year.
