  1. Josh Allen is not going to publicly say anything negative about his backups, nor should he. One of the many positives about him is he's 100% a team guy all they way. His teammates trust him and he's not going to do anything to violate that trust. Throwing a teammate under the bus violates that trust.
  2. Did McDermott really say that? So, everyone who played the game was lousy at practice too? If true, they could not have had many play well in practice.
  3. Not now, but when it is time to cut down. It looks like a number of teams have been getting solid play out of third string QBs this preseason. Buffalo has gotten too little out of any of their backups. It's hard to imagine that they couldn't find someone better when teams make their cuts. They would probably save some money on their cap too. I'm only being a little facetious.
  4. Samuel can't impress because he's been hurt. I agree on Moore, Shavers and Wilkerson. Even Dean Cain caught a ball. Of course, if Samuel can't get better, he can't be on the roster.
  5. Sean McDermott is doing his best to make the Ravens take Buffalo too lightly in the season opener.
  6. If I remember correctly, Pam Oliver, the Fox sideline reporter for the game, did a stint as a news anchor for WIVB a few decades ago.
  7. and 73.
  8. Do the Dolphins have anybody left to play dirty now that Wilkins is gone?
  9. That's the problem. As smart as he is, he has very little room for error. If the receiver gets past him, he's toast.
  10. Not until the middle of March though.
  11. Not a big deal, but it is news and I haven't seen a post on him elsewhere. Nelson Ceasar signs with Buffalo Most recently he played with a couple teams in the UFL during the 2025 season. Last year, he was on Seattle's PS. Finished his college career at Houston, but went undrafted after running a terrible 4.91 in the 40 at his pro day. He was productive in college. He is 6'3" and 254 lbs. Buffalo also cut Jalen Virgil WR and Justin Hollins DE.
  12. As far as the team is concerned, I don't think it is a huge deal. Caden Davis looks like a kicker with good upside. When teams need to replace a kicker during the season, most always seem to find a decent replacement. There are always good kickers out there looking for work.
  13. Idiot? Yes, but he's probably wealthy from the revenue all the pop up ads on his web site have brought him over the years.
  14. Who is Dion Coleman Is he a teammate of Keon Dawson?
  15. Awesome! Now, just have to keep him healthy, so Buffalo is not having to pay a broken down RB.
  16. I assume they will end up giving these stuffed animals to a pet shelter, ASPCA or Lollipop Farms (in the Rochester area). There are many more. At least some of them have volunteers come in regularly to interact with the animals. Stuffed animal would make their lives much less boring.
  17. There is no indication Dawkins had to be helped walking to the training room, nor was it mentioned that he limped, so if it was a lower body injury (legs, ankles/ feet) the odds are it wasn't too serious. If it was not lower body, then we're looking at arms shoulders, collar bone, ribs, back or concussion. With ribs, it is an issue of pain management until they heal up. We all know about concussion protocol, of course. There are some possibilities that are more likely than others. Most of the season ending possibilities are lower body, and he probably wouldn't be walking off the field without assistance or limp if it was one of those.
  18. Herndon can play both safety and CB. This roster move may have more to do with injuries at safety than anything else. Taylor Rapp is a non-participant today and Cole Bishop is limited. Darrick Forrest is special teams only That left Cam Lewis and Damar Hamlin as the only safeties. Hancock is playing some safety too, but I don't think the Bills want him to have too much on his plate as a rookie. Herndon gives them another player for practice. The facts that he has some experience, position flexibility and familiarity with a coach on staff can only help.
  19. The main difference between Burrows and Allen/Mahomes is that Burrows is less inclined to do creative things with his legs. For Allen and Mahomes, that makes for an extra dimension that is really hard on defenses. Another thread reported that Jamar Chase said the difference between Allen and Burrows is that teams have to game plan for Allen.
  20. Speculating on what the problem with third down defense might be, I wonder if the problem might be with a bias toward a philosophy of wanting to keep pass plays in front of the DBs. That is consistent with the zone defense that Buffalo likes to run, and it is also consistent with the fact that Buffalo does not have the speediest DBs in the league. If receivers get past them, odds are big plays can happen if not touchdowns. That's not to say that Benford isn't a great CB, and Tre White probably still has the ability to be a pretty good CB. Still, they typically give receivers a good bit of room underneath to make catches. Maxwell Hairston, when he gets healthy and has the opportunity to catch up on what he's missed while injured, has speed to burn and the quickness to react to what most receivers can do to try and create separation. I would hope that the Bills coaches would feel safe with having him play with a little bit less of a cushion underneath when the offense only needs a few yards for a first down.
  21. Keonta Jenkins is a 211 lb linebacker. I know the Bills tend to go for lighter, faster linebackers, but 211 lbs is a bit extreme even for them. Both of the Bills' starting linebackers, Milano and Bernard, have had some injury issues as lighter linebackers. If Jenkins makes the team (unlikely) or the PS, will the Bills try to get him to add some muscle? The alternative might be to see if he can convert to something of a hybrid DB/LB.
  22. There is no evidence that Codrington will ever have more production as a cornerback than Shenault is capable of as a wide receiver. As a returner, Shenault has one clear advantage - he seems to be far more likely to gain yards after contact.
  23. It wouldn't surprise me. You wouldn't ordinarily expect a player to get cut at this point in preseason for a bad play, but that was a routine shotgun snap. There was absolutely no excuse for such a terrible snap.
  24. Paris Shand has attracted some attention. I doubt there is room for him to make the 53 man roster, but he might make the PS. From there he would have to depend on injuries to have a chance to be called up.
  25. I think Bass had a bad day when the Bills practiced on a rainy windy day, but otherwise, he's been OK, if not stellar.
