  1. You're suggesting that the best coach this team has had in something like 2 decades is on the hot seat this year? It took Andy Reid a damn long time to win a Super Bowl and no one ever suggested that he get fired while constantly having the Chiefs in contention. This place is *something* in the offseason, damn 😂
  2. That holding call was…weak.
  3. There is soooo much more to playing LB than rushing the QB. Good linebackers like Edmunds and Milano take away huge chunks of the field and force QBs to have to make much more difficult throws into much tighter windows. In the modern game an incompletion is almost as good as a sack, it's a play for no yards and a loss of down.
  4. That guy knows he doesn't have what it takes to play in the NFL and is just milking his college gig for everything it's got. Also Stetson Bennett just sounds like what ChatGPT would return if you asked it "What is the most football name for a player you can think of?"
  5. Who? Did Houston have good safety play this season?
  6. The thing is, those teams are those teams and these teams are these teams. Any parallels are just coincidences. There are no tea leaves to read. This current Bills team will succeed and fail on their own merits, irrespective of any similarities to the Bills teams of old.
  7. I guess I'm an Eagles fan for the superb owl, but I don't feel good about it.
  8. I would be curious to know of PFF grades or similar OL grades in situations where Kromer came in as the OL coach. Do his OLs always regress or not?
  9. my eyes say otherwise
  10. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35531136/jets-hire-former-broncos-coach-nathaniel-hackett-new-oc This is most excellent 🤣
  11. It took Andy Reid 6 years to reach the SB with the Eagles. It took him another 6 years to reach the SB (and win) with the Chiefs.
  12. I remember LeSean McCoy looking quite uncomfortable during that playoff loss against the Jags but still gutting it out. I thought there was no way he was gonna play the way he sprained his ankle a week before that game.
  13. the Ravens defense has been extremely good since they traded for him.
  14. The Brady/Pats teams are a good comparison. You never seemed to think they were unbeatable and it looked a bit clunky at times but when it needed to get done it got done. People seem to forget that even with all the injuries, issues, setbacks this team is still 13-3 and its 3 losses have come from a combined 8(!) points.
  15. It's the Charlie Whitehurst plan. Mostly suck, but play well enough to stick around in the NFL holding a clipboard for 10-12 years. Walk away with little wear and tear on the body and a decent $15-20m in your bank account for your troubles.
  16. Watched that game on TV and I share your feelings.
  17. Interesting fact: the last game Peterman started was in 2018 for Buffalo against the Bears.
  18. Agree, they are getting hot at the right time but the NFL season is a grind. That's a young team and a lot of those players have never had to play postseason games. Playing in the postseason requires another gear.
  19. Bills girl! I met her at a bills game at MetLife in…2019? I think. She’s from the NYC area and super nice.
  20. We’re almost a week out. I think any forecasts are highly subjective atm. Our game against MIA was supposed to be a snowy mess and it was pretty subdued until the last 6 minutes.
  21. This was 100% the right play call to go down, burn the clock and kick a chip shot field goal with a kicker who is practically automatic. You’re not playing the other team you’re playing the clock and playing keep away. A win is a win, doesn’t matter if it’s by 1 or 100. I’ve watched the ***** Pats do this kind of ***** for decades and just grind out gritty wins and I’m glad we’re doing it as well. No one cares about style points. Just win baby.
  22. Reggie Gilliam practicing again is encouraging, his contribution to the run game is understated but important.
  23. That maybe works if your mindset is "get to a good spot and just ride out a good life, being happy and thankful for what you have" Most NFL players aren't wired like that. It's a hyper competitive sport that attracts hyper competitive people. They want to be the best, the guy, number 1. Anything less is failure.
  24. The Jets have had to shuffle the o-line a lot this season so this was a game where the d-line and our front 7 would and did shine. Mike White is pretty good under pressure (at least with the small sample size of the last 2 games) but if you bring a constant wave of blitzes, stunts against a patchy o-line your guys should be getting home and they did. The Dolphin's line is better, so I'm not completely convinced the same strategy will work. Tua gets the ball out fast and processes the field pretty quickly. I'm thinking a rush 3/drop 8 strategy to cover the field and force them to run the ball, with some well timed blitzes and stunts and opportune moments. Their running game takes a serious hit with Wilson Jr being carted off yesterday with a hip injury so forcing them to lean on that and neutralizing their passing game feels like the right strategy. Tua only threw 28 passes yesterday and only completed 10, their running game was putrid as well once Wilson left.
