  1. Exactly. They are having some fun reading all sorts of intent into what he said. Those inclined to, are lapping it up.
  2. I heard them yapping and then I watched the video. I think they are overstating the case. That said, the messaging about long term vision is interesting. It does seem that this is not the year of "all in", but I would not go so far as to say they are indicating a complete tear down either. If they move on from Tyrod, this will no doubt be a step back year, by definition really. Will they pull a Cleveland? I do not think so.
  3. Exactly. They should fire whoever made the decision to go give BO that contract.
  4. Who says anyone asked Marrone?
  5. He also is not really in charge of the offense. Reid is, and maintains play calling responsibilities. The Bills could offer him an Asst. HC/OC title and more money I bet. Depends on if he still has any aspirations, or is content with staying where he is. Also, I think it is smart that McD is looking bringing in experienced people, with HC experience on their resumes. Invaluable it seems to me for a first time HC to have that experience to lean on.
  6. Well, let's hope KC loses then to get this over with. Don't see that happening though.
  7. exactly. They have already moved on from Kromer. I do not see him as OC material although he has done a very good job with our OLine.
  8. I agree. This hire is critical. I am intrigued by Tom Cable, who I think would be a very good fit here. SF is rumored to be interested in him as HC though, and I am not sure he would leaves the seahags for an OC position.
  9. TSW stuck with mediocre posters again.
  10. Actually, I am not sure team representative are allowed to contact players in the offseason, but I could be wrong about that.
  11. Sorry, missed the Vic question. Still pretty funny though.
  12. Checking in late so I'm sorry if this was already covered, but I thought it was hilarious that they totally ignored TBN until the very end of that PC. Jerry and Bucky must have been doing a slow burn. Great theater.
  13. When you fire the head coach you do not have continuity by definition. I suspect they would rather not have done it, but it was pretty clear to everyone it neeeded to be done. Once it's done, everything is going to change. Pretty obvious, no?
  14. I will reserve judgement on this one. Assignment as running game coordinator is interesting. I thought Kromer was doing a really good job, but changes like this are inevitable when you hire a new coach. He is going to make his own bed. Let's see what the plan is.
  15. Thanks. Looking forward to it.
  16. Thanks for the info JW. A few comments and a question:1. I would certainly hope so, or he is a dolt. Don't think he is. 2. Perfectly reasonably that the owner would want to feel comfortable and feel a connection to the guy who is one of the two most important people in the football operation. Again, I would hope so. 3. Good. 4. Every executive is constantly evaluating the key staff in his organization. Everything matters. Totally agree with you here - had to have an impact. 5 it would certainly seem so. My perception is that Terry is interested in results, and while willing to give his people room and resources to succeed, he does not suffer fools or put up with gamesmanship. Whaley is on his last loop of the rope. I hope for all our sakes he succeeds. So in tomorrow's press conference, do you think we will actually be treated to some football related discussion, or would you expect another snipe hunt? I want to hear what this guy thinks about the team. (my snark is not directed at you by the way - you are always professional)
  17. Wow. It sounds like he would rather be the water boy in Baltimore than OC in Cleveland. I bet Cleveland is glad the Browns are not a dumpster fire like the Bills.
  18. I fully expect the Buffalo News "reporters" to embarrass themselves again.
  19. This is still not confirmed. Same report linked earlier that they will hire him, but he is interviewing today and it has been reported elsewhere that he intends to evaluate options. Maybe he takes their offer today, but has not happened yet.
  20. Always cracks me up when a random message board poster criticizes the intelligence of a self made billionaire. Thanks JW. Voice of reason as usual.
  21. More fact free speculation. This guy could get a job at ESPN, or maybe even TBN.
  22. So Bucky, what is it you do all day?
  23. I would certainly expect the Bills would have to up the ante, but hey, it's not my money so go for it. Beyond that who knows what his motivations might be. For me, it would feel like returning home with my tail between my legs to go back to Denver. I think it depends on just how proud, and just how career motivated he continues to be. Denver could be seen as the easy decision, but somewhere else could well be the best career move. I think he is too young to give up on career aspirations which would put Denver at a disadvantage to me. I think much depends on what discussion McDermott and the Bills had regarding the QB situation and plan, something we are not, and likely never will be, privy to.
  24. I think it is a bit early to make that conclusion. How about we actually see the guy play first?
  25. Exactly. No doubt throwing the little tidbits out here and there helps create interest for an upcoming article - can't blame him for that - but he is always careful to be right before throwing out the story. For too many of these tweeters, the 140 characters is the story, with no need to go further. Sloppy, lazy, and all too accepted anymore.
