  1. He may have worked on his blocking and still not got there. Last year his pass blocking was atrocious, he had a hard time even chipping a pass rusher and flaring out to a safety valve. Pretty decent runner.
  2. Marcus Murphy could not block, not even a little bit, that was his undoing.
  3. Langer was excellent. Their whole OL was, and yes Kuechenberg was a complete jerk. He had family in The Town of Tonawanda btw.
  4. Keek-Blow has no trade value and will be cut.
  5. I hoping to see Bodine starting on week 4 in Buffalo.
  6. If the Colts are seriously weakened, and they are, that will help the teams in their division. Less parity could lead to inflated records in this division. Advantage to AFC South division for wildcard opportunities.
  7. Luck was oft injured but always impressive, especially when healthy. I can understand his decision and this must of been hard for him. Best wishes to him in the future.
  8. “New Age 21st Century Coaches”. Yes indeed, that McD is a real dinosaur. LOL
  9. Let him live his life. Everyone offended by everything these days
  10. All of that versatility on the OL is really good if we have injuries. It is not a good idea to rotate 8 lineman just to be innovative. Cohesion and consistency is more important than anything else when considering OL play. Timing is critical. Knowing what your line-mate will do in a given situation do is critical. Linemen generally do not carry or receive the ball so they are not weapons. I think the OP’s idea is not a good one.
  11. Jax should not have a franchise. Love the black tarp trash bags that cover their end zone seats. Small stadium and only half filled. The Jags franchise should have been awarded to St Louis who had a great proposal, a dome stadium, loyal fans, and local ownership. Instead St Louis ended up paying a Kings Ransom for the Rams, forced to buy PSLs, take external ownership, and are eventually held hostage for another new stadium or else a move to LA. So no team in St Louis, the Rams owners move the team to LA and then steal the Chargers from San Diego. Meanwhile po-dunk Jacksonville has a team and still can’t draw flies. Be thankful for the Pegulas.
  12. Miami’s raring brings the whole “study” into question.
  13. Unbelievable but this is probably my list too. I was at game 1,5 and 4. Honorable mention has had to be “the comeback” versus Houston. Maybe it replaces 2 or 5?
  14. If Beasley gets the separation he has in past years then Josh’s short game will magically improve. Looking forward to it.
  15. Yes, he could have been very special if not for the injury.
  16. Montana >> Young Fouts >>> Rivers
  17. Bruce had a tougher time playing a 3-4 and facing double teams all the time. Reggie had a better DL cast in both Philly and GB. Deacon was great, no one has bothered to look at film and count his sacks but I doubt he has the same number. Deacon got away with the “head slap” for many years which was an advantage for him.
  18. Agree. They can win 10, maybe 11 if Allen emerges as a top QB and we have a strong defense.
  19. Good discussion and great comments thus far. Most important : 1. Get OL figured out soon and give them time to jell. 2. Allen work with WRs and TEs - route timing and learn where his outlets will be. 3. Build a physical team that can run and stop the run - especially needed for last few months of a season
  20. No. I put him in the Hall of “Good for a period of time”. That is below the “Hall of Very Good” and miles away from the HOF.
  21. Peoples reactions and thoughts on this situation are fascinating and in some way represents a microcosm of the divide we have in the country today. I had no doubt that as soon as the “tainted evidence” came to light Kraft would benefit. That law is there to protect you, yet in this case there are people who want to ignore the law. People in this country are at odds over much these days. Another consequence from 24 hour news outlets fighting for ratings, internet news/blogs/forums, and social media and the cell phone connectivity. Special interests and those pushing political ideologies sure know how to take advantage of it.
  22. You will see improvement immediately because they were terrible last year. The OL does indeed take time time to come together. Line calls, signals, and just getting five players to be in sync blocking versus stunts and disguised defensive fronts takes time. Once real bullets fly you will see some OL mistakes but by mid season you will see less. Since quite a few of the new guys are vets that is encouraging.
  23. I fully expect Josh to take a step forward this year but I think year 3 will be his breakout year. The Bills offense is a work in progress. You have a completely new OL that needs time to jell, that could take half a season or more. You have many new WRs and TEs for Josh to work with. Josh himself has much more to learn on technique. Is he going to play like Mahommes in year 2? Likely not. The running out of excuses comments are not accurate when Josh himself did not make excuses. He was considered a project with a ton of physical skill. Nothing has changed.
