  1. Since they mean nothing, Power Rankings are for fun I guess.
  2. I am not surprised by Feliciano. He is playing like he played in Oakland when given the chance. He plays with a mean streak. I am pleasantly surprised by Josh Allen's growth - his patience and improved accuracy thus far. He has worked hard and it is showing.
  3. This line is a year or two away from being a beast. Depends on Dawkins more than Cody. If Dawkins is a strong LT then leave him, otherwise switch him to RT and draft to find a LT. Nseehke is your gameday backup swing tackle. Cody then has to beat out Feliciano to get the RG spot. Feliciano becomes a valuable gameday C/G back up. Spain and Morse are set for now. If Dawkins is solid at LT then you draft looking for a RT.
  4. No doubt much better than last years crew. Last year was an abomination. Hence, Beane bringing in a bevy of experienced linemen to compete. When adjusting for the time period, the Electric Company in their peak was much better than our line is right now. Today’s line will get better with time and a few adjustments.
  5. Beane dodged a bullet here. So glad he is not on our team.
  6. … and even more importantly, a clean hit that did not draw a flag.
  7. Fair enough. I’m always looking for impact players or BPA in the first round. Darn auto correct. I meant fairly early but somehow typed very early. I could see an OT by round 3.
  8. These guys are better than last year already, and they will get better as the season goes on. That said, they are not even close to the Electric Company. Maybe one position out of the five is at that level yet.
  9. I must admit I sure loved seeing Cody jump to his QBs aide but in a close game against a quality opponent those penalties can hurt. Best for Cody to get that play out if the way in this game. Next time, stay cool and pound your opponent on the next play. The refs did not protect our QB which was the worst part if the play.
  10. While I did not like the play of the offense in the 3Q, or even the strategy at the end of 2Q, I don’t think they were overconfident. Lacking in consistent execution is more like it. The team is young in critical positions, there are lots off new players and coaches. They are improving but they are not a juggernaut. Yet. They are an up and coming team. I expect to see sustained improvement as the season progresses. Really enjoying 2-0 with the home opener coming.
  11. All the games are hard. This is the NFL.
  12. This ^ The line need more time to gel but I can see us drafting an OT very early in the draft next year.
  13. Defense - mind your gap coverage in the run. Stay in your lanes, stop the over pursuit, DO YOUR JOBS.
  14. I grew up watching the old AFL in the mid-60’s and most of the stadiums were dual purpose. A “football only” stadium is the only way to go. Prefer outdoors and grass when practical.
  15. Barkley gaining more total yards is the likely outcome, he is a beast and the Giants must feature him to win. Buffalo’s defense is good and seem to be getting better but in each of the past two season they have had periods over several games of poor tackling and poor run defense. The coached blamed it on player doing their assignments, so the defense better be prepared. Singletary will get more touches and will likely make a few plays but the key for the Bills will again be Josh Allen managing the game and making the throws when needed. We need to get on the right side of the turnover battle this week.
  16. Late summer and Fall, right into Christmas really are the best times of year indeed. Coffee brewed - a Grog that the wife concocted. It’s great. Sitting on the deck looking at the wooded area past my yard and listening to birds sing. Breakfast will be a veggie omelette. All three kids gone, raised and they have good jobs and their own homes. Yeah!!! Morning news, then Jazz music while in my soundroom while “reading the paper” on my iPad. No more NFL pregame shows, don’t need it. Watch game at Bills Backers bar this afternoon. We can win this. Peaceful evening planned for later. The game outcome always plays a role in my mood.
  17. Super Bowl 25. Don Beebe was hurt. Steve Tasker playing as the 3rd WR, instead of Al Edwards. That would have helped a lot. Of course, running the ball against their 2 man DL and forcing them back to their standard 3-4 was the key and we discovered much too late.
  18. Looks like a Hall of Fame player to me. Tasker’s receptions as a WR would have been much higher if the Bills knew what they had sooner.
  19. Great video. The ‘65 Bills overcame injuries on offense, and the loss of Cookie Gilcrest, to win their 2nd AFL Championship in a row. They did it with a fabulous defense. I think those Champion Bills team would have held their own against the NFL teams and beaten the majority of them. I LOVED watching the AFL. To me it was more explosive than the old NFL. More passing, more innovation, and more speed. The AFL did not hesitate to hire African American players. The AFL got on par with the NFL very quickly. I cherish those days.
  20. Apology accepted. I understand what happened and I see it happen just about every day. I am not definitely not defending the joke and I do believe that you can’t joke about things anymore without risk of offending someone. So let’s get back to football.
  21. Dude. Your arguing with the wrong person. I did not write the samwiches comment. I said I laughed (an internal laugh) at it because my friend used to say that word when we were kids. That’s it. It reminded me of something funny. Please Re-read the thread. You just proved my point, you cannot joke in these forums without someone doing what you are doing - which is getting offended over nothing.
  22. Yes indeed. I want ant to see the OL take a positive step. The Jets DL and LBs were a tough match. More Singletary for sure. That should bring a safety up and help set up the deep ball.
  23. So to stop the scalping you need an expensive smart phone, with the monthly data fees that go with it, just to go to an NFL football game. If you have to have paper, and if your lucky, you might find a ticket outlet that will sell you a paper copy for $5 more in fees. I just bought 4 MLB tickets using one of the online ticket services. I had to download an app to my phone and I had to pay $11 extra in fees for each ticket. So scalping is alive and well. Only it’s legal for some.
