He’s going to start breaking so many team records. We’re going to look back and realize how lucky we were to have Josh as QB in Buffalo.
-
He’s showing some progress. Just wish he came down with the 50/50 ball by the endzone. Josh threw a beautiful ball that he couldn’t hang on to.
-
Given his athleticism he’s always flashed but Williams was an absolute liability on the field last season. This year hasn’t been perfect but he’s shown steady progress which is what you want to see. While he still can get taken advantage of, he’s shown some consistency. I think he has potential and given the McDermott/Babich track record of LB development I’m optimistic

I heard fans are mad about this. It’s like everything Haslam touches related to NFL turns to crap.
-
Exactly also his style doesn’t fit what he Bills do at safety. Plus he’s a liability in coverage
-
Go watch the Q1 of the Texans game and you’ll see why. He needs more reps in the system. I would have to say at this point, he’s probably behind where they envisioned but his training camp injury didn’t help
-
LOL pretty sure someone send these to Dion. In any case, he needs to let this go. Why give another team this extra incentive the next time they play?
-
With Sean, I’m positive it’s Terry’s call. There’s no way that he lets someone else fire his head coach
-
Cooper is going to be taking most of the snaps at X. This should squeeze Hollins out of the lineup and hopefully allow for more opportunities for Samuel to get on the field.

Bills are getting the most from Damar. He’s getting by on his knowledge of the defense. He’s probably a reserve/special teams player on most defenses. I do get a little worried about his lack of athleticism which I think has been part of the reason why the defense is giving up so many explosive players this season.

Week 7 - Titans at Bills Game Week Thread
JohnNord replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m surprised at the praise for Levis - I have been less than impressed with him so far. He’s physically gifted but makes some boneheaded mistakes that have cost the Titans 1/3 of their games this season. He also struggles to get the ball to his receivers and is type of QB that McDermott’s defense typically fares well against. I think Spears is hurt and Pollard is good so the run/screen game is always a threat. My biggest concern is the defense which I think is pretty good. Jeffery Simmons and Harold Landry have historically wreaked havoc against the offensive line and now they have T’Vondre Sweat who is a freakin beast. Plus Sneed and Ernest Jones. There’s a lot of talent on the defensive side that could make it hard to run the ball. If I weren’t a Bills fan I might take TEN at -9 to cover, though I think the Bills win a close game -
This is such a low percentage play that it takes failure on several levels to actually work. I really hated rushing only only two because it gave Rodgers time to set up the throw. I get the idea of defending the sideline but I’d rather take the chance of a long FG from a kicker who hasn’t been too accurate. The other problem is the defense in the endzone. You can’t let a recover box you out like that. Also, Lazard caught the football on the way down. It’s not like he out jumped the defense like Hopkins a few years ago. It’s far from a super human play. It was a good throw and good concentration by the WR but there’s no excuse to not knock the football down.

So about the refs tonight UPDATE: Rams game discussion on page 14

Those officials are getting roasted by everyone online. -
I was screaming that it was NO GOOD at home. I have seen really close kicking attempts where the ball is kicked over the goal post and it makes it really hard to tell. This one is pretty obvious to me. Glad it didn’t effect the overall score.
-
Overall I’m pleased with 4-2. There’s a few very obvious positions on the team that I’m concerned about: WR: just no downfield passing S: Rapp is ok but Hamlin was pretty bad tonight. DL: Oliver needs to return Ideally I’d love it if Buffalo could pick up a WR and re-sign Micah Hyde to takeover for Damar the second half of the season. Not certain either of these moves happen though
-
I don’t understand how it wasn’t a fumble. It’s one of those NFL plays where 10/10 logical football fans would call that a fumble but for whatever reason the officials think otherwise. Another example of overcomplicated rules that make no sense
-
I’m not sure it’s that simple. No one was criticizing Brady during the first three weeks of the season. Allen played a really bad football game which again I do think is entirely on Brady. Of course, I do feel he’s part of the blame the last two weeks. After falling behind, I think Brady tried to throw his way back into games, when he maybe should have ran the ball a little more. I also believe he’s very limited with the receiving group he has when Shakir is off the field. The plan going forward has to be to find a way to get targets to Kincaid, because outside of Shakir he won’t get much from this poor WR group.
-
Harty? He’s not exactly setting the world on fire in Baltimore either
-
So far Shakir has been the better receiver. Not only has he had a bigger impact but he has more receptions and yards than Davis. He also has the same amount of TD’s. Also compare the two receivers when they were both in the Buffalo for the final part of the season. Finally compare the catch rate of Shakir vs. Davis.
-
Some of this is hindsight. It’s hard to imagine Samuel starting any worse that he has in Buffalo. At the time he was signed last spring, most people viewed this as a good signing for the team. Gabe seems to be the same player he was in Buffalo. Probably not worth the contract he signed. The larger issue as we continue to point out is the poor construction at the WR position.

He should have fired MM after last season, but since he didn’t, I think he’ll give him a few more chance to start winning. For a cutthroat businessman Jerry’s always had an odd loyalty to his head coach and he keeps them around a season or two than he should. Same situation played out with Jason Garrett
-
Maybe last Sunday. But there’s no way Gabe is a better WR overall than Shakir. His catch rate says it all
