Only point I disagree with is Edmunds. I don’t feel he’s much better than he was his first or second year. I don’t think he’s good -

My takeaways: Bills will upgrade the DL (but like Ed Oliver) Bills still believe in Tremaine Edmunds (UGH) don’t expect a change. Matt Milano is probably gone (said the same thing about Shaq) John Brown is probably gone Don’t look for any crazy additions at CB or in the secondary. Expect a new TE -
That explains it then. If you have a favorable opinion of Doug Whaley, then of course it won’t bother you. If you didn’t think he was very good, you’re going to take exception with a person in leadership criticizing the coach who was way more successful. Its like Zay Jones saying that Stefon Diggs is too soft at getting off the LOS. Same reaction Also you said Doug never picked his coaches? That’s your speculation but I listen to the podcast and he never has claimed that. Ty also said that Whaley hired McDermott. So it appears that isn’t true It doesn’t mean he can’t comment. Everyone can comments. But you shouldn’t be surprised that fans are giving him push back. McDermott did what Doug never could in turning around a franchise, so of course fans are going to give him a negative reaction and question his credibility

Haha what I meant is that everyone wants a scapegoat. “McDermott cost us the game” or “Frazier’s scheme is too soft” is simpler than taking a deeper look into the matchups that gave the Bills trouble. IMO the Bills lost to a football team that had elite talent in key positions that the Bills were weak in.

I hope Star and Ford have both been powerlifting

That’s possibly too. It could also signify a more “physical” OL while saving quite a bit on the cap. Morse is a good Center in terms of pass blocking but doesn’t move people back -
I don’t get what Jimmies and Johns mean. What is that about? But Bills fans don’t want to face this reality but elite talent was the difference in this game. Obviously not everyone can have Mahomes, Hill, and Kelcie but like Simms said they could have Allen, Diggs, and one more threat. Agree completely about the defense. Outside of Tre White, you have several above average players (Hyde, Poyer Hughes, Milano) and a few other solid contributors - but not really top end talent. Unfortunately I believe the Bills envisioned Edmunds and Oliver to be those elite players. Unfortunately both are closer to being just average, Edmunds maybe a bit below.

The Chiefs are the team that will make me do the unthinkable.... cheer for Tom Brady to win a Super Bowl.....GO BUCS

You have to admit that there’s a good majority of your fan base who were once cool and now have turned into arrogant pricks. I see it a lot online. So many Chiefs fans have become the Patriots.

Remember what McDermott about needing to be physical and the desire to run the ball better. I think could have implications toward Ford being part of the plan. It’s possible that he could make John Feliciano expendable - as much as they love him, I don’t know if they’ll break the bank to keep him. While he has been decent, it’s clear the middle of the line has been an issue this season. As far as Star, I think they see a role for him on the roster as a rotational player. I think they will want to find another option specifically at 1 Tech DT to keep Oliver at 3 Tech. I think they have to wait 1 more year before the cap hit becomes reasonable -
The great thing is that it means “generational” talent Sammy Watkins will be released. He was talking trash on Twitter during the games. See ya Mr. Glass

What if the Bills had scored before halftime?
JohnNord replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s a stretch to think that even if we did go for it on all those possessions that we’d convert on every single one. -
You and me both

This is where I am at as well. Kansas City and their fans are arrogant and are assuming they’ve already won the Super Bowl. I would love to see the devastation on their faces. If I had to bet, I’d put it all on Chiefs. I don’t think they’ll lose but I’m hoping Brady can pull one more SB masterpiece off

Sounds good in theory, but the problem is the Bills defense doesn’t really have the physical players to jam at the line. You miss on a jam you’re looking at a massive completion. That’s why the Bills elected to keep everything in front of them. Like McDermott said it’s pick your poison. If anything I hope this loss reinforced the idea that the defenses might have to be more versatile and athletic to keep up with a team like Kansas City. There are times when they’ll need to make a switch from predominately zone to man given the matchup. Not sure if the currently defensive players can do this well Whaley was a terrible GM and had no idea how to build a team. He didn’t have the ability or the vision to do what Beane and McDermott did. If you long for the days of Doug Whaley, I have no idea what to tell you.

I’m officially off the Edmunds train. He is just not very good. I’m tired of people using his age as an excuse. It’s becoming a tired cop out. So many rookies have come into the NFL at 21 or 22 and made a bigger impact. If I’m Beane, I don’t pick up the option and make him earn a second deal.

The problem isn’t Frazier as much as it is a front 4 that doesn’t generate pressure and a MLB in Edmunds that isn’t physical and is easily fooled by fakes. If anytime the only pressure the Bills have gotten this year has been manufactured by blitzes or stunts / that’s all Frazier Besides if the issue is scheme, nothing will change - its McDermott’s defense. The problem is the Bills DL and LB’s....not Frazier
