  1. Hopefully Chris Brown was not signed to a multi-year contract extension. Seriously though, McDermott has made such a big impact on the organization behind-the-scenes and on the field. This was the only decision to make
  2. Something doesn’t add up... either Ed was racially profiled (which he kind of denied) or there’s more to the story that he isn’t sharing. Either way, it doesn’t matter. It sounds like he’s moved on. He actually seems like a really cool guy that would be fun to be around
  3. I think it’s a salary issue. Plus we don’t know what type of shape he reported at. There could be a lot of factors
  4. He was supposed to be the WR on the roster that could make contested catches. He missed some huge opportunities in the playoff game versus Houston. That’s why I think he’s on the outside looking in given who the WR room.
  5. Duuuuuuuke I really his story but without a preseason it’s going to make it tough for him to make the team.
  6. Not just money but also control after Tom Donahoe did a ***** job both building the team and running the org. From that moment on, Ralph would only hire people he knew or worked worked with in the past as GM in Marv, Russ Brandon, and Buddy Nix. That’s your drought, people
  7. I really like Marcel - he seems like a real good guy. But you could tell that he was extremely offended. by Fromm’s comments in the text messages back in June. In terms of Fromm, he might be correct that his answer could have directly addressed some of the concerns that critics like Marcel said about his text messages. I’m guessing that Fromm didn’t want to to go anywhere near making a public comment on the topic of racism for fear of saying the wrong thing.
  8. The dude loves his family - no doubt. Gotta love his heart. But I thought there was way too much at stake for his family’s future to sit out this season. He talked about it only supporting his immediate family but also financing some businesses for his immediate family/friends (why does this not sound like it will end well???). He’s a smart guy - Sitting out this season would have made the financial part more challenging
  9. KC had a good team that year. They owned Buffalo bad on a Monday Night game at Arrowhead when Christian Okoye plowed through a tired defense. If he doesn’t get hurt that year the 1991 playoff game might look different
  10. Maybe it would be the right decision for him personally but it would be a terrible business decision IMO. In the NFL your career could end a flash. You try to make as much money as possible. By sitting out he loses just about any leverage he has with the team in contract negotiations. Maybe it’s me being overly positive but I don’t think he does the interview if he’s leaning toward option out. But we’ll see
  11. I’ll say TBD. The Bills seem to have a lot of faith in Josh Norman so I will give them the benefit of the doubt there. If Norman continues to play at the level he did with Washington last year, then look out. I think Levi Wallace did ok but was a weak spot on the defense.
  12. I used to listen to One Bills Live when Murph was on. People didn’t like him but he carried the co-host - whether it was Donald Jones or Steve Tasker. I listened a few times since Brown took over and the show has been bad. I can’t listen to it. While they still get good interviews it’s painful to hear Brown and Tasker conduct interviews. Again, say what you will about Murphy be he made the show better
  13. Are you talking about 1998? DeBerg definitely was not in the MVP conversation. My only memories of Deberg was when the Bills played a “hot” KC team in the 1991 playoffs. The plan was going to be for the monster attack of Barry Word to run roughshod over the Bills defense the same way that the Giants did in the Super Bowl. The Bills completely stuffed the attack and battered Deberg bad. I still remember the shot of him wincing in pain when trying to warm up his arm leading to the appearance of the legendary....Mark Vlassic! I also remember Deberg in Miami back when Mitchell and Marion were hurt. He seemed so ancient back then, but he was only 39!!!!
  14. Always liked Levy. I only wish Marv stayed retired and didn’t come back for that terrible GM figurehead role. He did some major damage to the franchise
  15. I always thought that Kolb was a bad signing. He was very average with the great Andy Reid and struggles to stay healthy in AZ. Some Bills fans defended the move as though he was the best available choice at QB. I’m not sure about that - without doing research there had to be better options. Also once Kolb was injured the team should have traded a low pick or brought in a veteran FA like they did in 2014 when Orton was signed. Starting the year with Ej Manuel and Jeff “Soul Crushing INT” Tuel at QB was roster mismanagement at its finest He didn’t do it...but if he did
  16. EJ played very well in McDermott’s defense and I thought he could be a good Seth depth player or special teamer.
  17. PS - It’s because he isn’t very good anymore
  18. On One Bills Live, Aaron Schatz of Foot all Outsiders said that the Bills have the highest probability to have a top defense. Outside of that, the rest of the interview was brutal with Tasker and Chris Brown as host
