They’ve tried a few that have been so poorly executed Allen aborted and threw the ball in the dirt. They also tried a WR screen to Diggs against Miami. Shakir struggled to block his man and a Miami defender came downhill to make a play. The result was 2 defenders coming for Diggs and a loss of 2 yards

Classic example of a good player wanting to be paid like a great one.

The move for Leslie would be to hire Brian Scottenheimer as OC from Dallas who previously had some success with Russ in Seattle. I think this is going to be Dan Quinn’s move though, and he seems to be the one everyone is thinking for HC

Part of the problem is that the Bills haven’t really have much of a screen game. I’m not exactly sure why as it should favor their offensive line but the few screens they have called usually result in little yardage. I can’t remember the exact number but I believe Mahomes led the league in shorter passes yet also led the league in passing yards. I also think part is Josh as a passer. He’s more of an off-schedule thrower at QB rather than a timing passer. Also I think ball placement has been an issue at times. Then you have WR’s like Diggs who is a great route runner but not a burner, Davis who can get open deep but doesn’t have a great route tree, and the rest of the WR’s

It is absolutely amazing how fast they went from “Tua is him” to “Tua sucks.” I was very down on Tua when the year started but I think he was definitely better than a lot of Bills thought but also never as good as some Miami thought. He’s likely in the Jimmy Garapalo range. If he’s in the right system, with elite talent around him, and a good play caller, he can have success. But he doesn’t appear to be the QB that can completely step up and win games. I’ve seen Mike McDaniel take a lot of crap as well - and I think it’s unfair. IMO the strides Tua has made can be largely attributed to his scheme. With that being said, there’s a good chance Miami plays Buffalo in round 1 of the playoffs and the game won’t be easy. I don’t think this is true, he never really ran much and his number of attempts are relatively close to his first two seasons. I’m sure this was a consideration right after he came back from the concussion but he wasn’t the type that you called designed runs for in the first place I disagree with this… yes, there would be some Allen doubters. But I find when Allen is in a position to be blamed, fans find some excuse to let him off the hook. McDermott and/or Dorsey would 100% get blame for a 4 game skid.

Not sure if the problem is Josh or the play designs but it seems like the pass plays take too long to develop. Josh should just dump off a few passes to Beasley or Cook short.

I had absolutely no problem with the decision. He did the same thing against Baltimore and it was the smart play. If you are going to go on the premise that Bass could easily slip on the FG attempt..ha also could’ve slipped on the kickoff attempt as could any other players on the field. While I agree that scoring a TD with :34 seconds would be near impossible for Miami, we’ve seen teams hit long plays on the defense because Hamlin was out of position. The Bills did the right thing.

Much like AJ Epinesa, Boogie Basham will go down largely as a bad pick. In both cases the Bills are getting a replacement level rotational DE piece for a 2nd round pick. Not exactly the ROI you want to see. He’s not disinterested.. he just isn’t very good

The problem is he should not be playing. He’s a project QB with very good traits but still extremely raw. He is completely lost when it comes to the mental part of the game, which takes time and experience. Tennessee probably should have had a veteran QB on the roster or PS for a moment like this, because Willis is just not ready to give you competent starting QB play

They typically take Diggs out during running plays. The Bills OL isn’t the best at run blocking. It’s not surprise those numbers with him out are so low, but Diggs is the best weapon and probably the only player every defense is watching

It really doesn’t matter this year because every team that makes the playoffs is going to be tough.

You can’t deny that McDaniel is a very good play caller. Also can’t deny that he isn’t a “goofy bastard.”

Michael Robinson made a good point on the post game show. He said if you take Hurts off of Philly and Allen off of Buffalo which team would be better? There no doubt Philly has such a stronger infrastructure on offense If you truly look at the award as going to the player who is the most valuable - it’s probably Allen or Burrow with Mahomes a close third

This is definitely happening. They will find a replacement for Saffold and I doubt they’ll go down the veteran stop gap route that they did this season w/ Saffold. Bigger question remains whether they move on from Brown. They showed a lot of faith in him this season and he’s been just as inconsistent and injury prone as he was last year. Also the health of Mitch Morse now becomes a factor.

This is a very good point. Part of the reason why Houston was able to come back was because the Bills offense turned the ball over and couldn’t generate any offense. Josh played incredibly bad for most of the second half

I don’t think this is true. Most NFL don’t risk injuries in practice - yet there’s plenty of defenses in the NFL who tackle well. We saw one last in the Jets. The Bills defense has struggled with tackling from time-to-time. I’ve noticed that Hamlin does a very poor job with choosing angles.

Sanchez and the PBP man in the booth were just bad. The Bills clearly got the NFLN B-team. I did feel that Sanchez was trying to emulate Tony Romo and he sounded like a second rate version. The PBP guy he was paired with said Miami took the lead for the first time in the 3rd, and then had to say he was wrong haha

I think they do need to have a shorter passing game at times. Sometimes it seems that routes are either slow developing routes or deep passes which don’t have time to develop because of pass protection

Thats because he was trying to sustain the drive and run more time off the clock. Given how the Bills running attack is, I’m fairly certain there’s a better chance the Bills pick up the first down with 1 run and 2 versus passes as opposed to 3 runs. To his credit Dorsey has dialed up some good play pass called late in the game that should’ve killed the clock - instead they were dropped by Diggs (MIN) and Knox (NYJ) Same but wasn’t the ball dropped by Singletary? Not a hard catch to make

I listened and while I love Isaiah’s confidence, I’m not quite sure the self-assessment of his performance is as accurate as he depicts. He’s claiming he’s been getting open but just hasn’t gotten the ball and needs more targets. But he’s also had some very untimely drops this season that he hasn’t acknowledged. So while I think it’s fair to say he needs more opportunities, it’s also fair that’s he’s been fairly inconsistent when called upon.
