  1. It’s hard for me to dump on Special Teams coaches when the talent simply fails. It wasn’t like there were bad calls.
  2. If ever there were a Bills game..... 1 - Peterman - With a great fake out move to the inside, Zay breaks deep and catches a perfectly thrown pass from Peterman for the go ahead touchdown. And in that moment you may have thought "Is this real life?" Yes, yes it was. Because just like real life, it was followed up by two terrible interceptions that sealed the game for the Houston Texans. I'm not going to dump on the kid as I'm sure it's coming at him from all angles. But Peterman needs to be a free agent come Monday. He's just not long for the NFL. You could see it in his face after the first interception and it would all almost be funny if it weren't so damn sad. 2 - Allen - How fitting is it that Allen gets knocked out of the game after one of his better scripted throws of the season. Why do I say scripted? Because I'm starting to realize more and more that if Allen doesn't deliver the ball quickly, it turns into street ball out there where he looks to run too often. His stat line isn't the end-all, be-all, but how many times is the kid going to be sub-100 yards? He's gotten the quick, short passes down, but has a really hard time letting plays develop and I'm wondering more with each passing game if he's going to turn the corner. I'm not making decisions on him for the season, but I'm seeing maybe one or two plays that give me a glimpse of hope marred by countless other plays that take it away 3 - Refs - The PI call was real. However, I can't remember a game under McDermott where we got hammered with ticky tack calls all game. I was really worried that Tre would get rattled and loosen his coverage after the first quarter. But the amount of calls, and more importantly the non-calls on the Bills were ridiculous. I don't know if these guys aren't getting enough love at home, but this isn't the place to get attention. 4 - You're no daisy! You're no daisy at all. Poor soul, you were just too high strung. 5 - Zay - If there were one big positive takeaway on offense from this game, it might be the performance of Zay Jones. That's right, the kid finally showed up. He had a great move on the TD catch. He should've had close to first down on the first drive, if not for a missed penalty. He had a great catch at the end of the game for a first down. Overall, I think it's time to scheme for him a bit and see what we can get. 6 - Defensive Line - Where do I start here? All of them played amazing ball. Kyle was quick to Watson. Hughes was all over the place. Yarbrough was a tackling machine. Phillips got his first NFL turnover. Watson was under pressure all game. Frazier did a good job of sending an extra guy here and there, but they were a menace all game. The batted ball turned INT was also a thing of beauty. 7 - Offensive Line - This is now two games in a row where these guys have more than held their own. We had rushing lanes, time to throw for the most part. I'm very happy to see this unit come along and it definitely is not the cause for our offensive struggles 8 - Milano - I've called him out a few times so far this season and thought about leaving him out, but I don't know how. He's just a monster to the ball . He's absolutely everywhere on the field and is in contention for our Defensive player of the year vs Hughes and White. It's amazing to see him come along and I can't wait to see his progression continue. 9 - Tre - Yes, Hopkins Mossed him for a TD but I don't know a DB that would have stopped that. For all the penalties called on him in the beginning and clear frustration in his face, he held Hopkins to one catch in the entire second half. Tre shadowed him all over the field and took him out of the game. Amazing play by him. Just amazing. 10 - Coaching - Outside of the timeout used on 4th and short at the end of the game, I thought all the coaches did a great job. I can' t find an area of play calling to blame for this loss. We absolutely could have won this game and probably should have. QB play killed us here, plain and simple. This was a rough environment and these guys came to play. We should probably be 3-3 right now, and that says a lot. Tough loss that has the Bills written all over it. There were a ton of positives to come from this game, but still a lot of questions at quarterback. I wish I could say that I see hope at the position and I recognize that we are only 6 games in, but it's tough right now. Other than that, solid play by the rest of the team. Go Bills!
  3. Any semblance of an offense The whole team not coming out flat
  4. They don’t. They are on small, low paying deals. They are fill in and transition. Kyle is for culture and Lorax isn’t getting paid much. In two years when the rebuild is done, neither will be here
  5. You have to think long term. Is Shady part of our the full rebuild? I doubt it. If you can get multiple mid level picks, you have to take it
  6. I try to pick quotes or lyrics that, to me, remind of the atmosphere of the game. We are at an interesting stage of the rebuild and people are starting to pass judgement on who should stay or go. So, I picked a scene that I know pisses people off, but recognizeable enough for most. It’s a scene of a strongly opinionated person going against the grain. Made sense to me
  7. By that logic, wouldn’t it suggest that either Allen or Daboll is a total failure then? I just believe that a good coach generates a scheme to compensate for talent. Look at San Fran’s offense right now.
  8. Sorry to disappoint. That was Bill’s thing. I did Dave, BNL, Norah Jones, and this year I went quotes. Just trying to find new ways to make it different A part of me wants to add the quotes, but it’s fun to watch people react to it as if it were my words
  9. I like Shady, but if you can get at least a 3rd rounder, take it. He's not going to be part of the new offense when it comes together in two years. Let the man have some success.
  10. Family weekend in Buffalo and didn't bring the laptop, hence the late posting. Was happy to see the game in person and really see the entire field. Some guys really shined, others....not so much 1 - Daboll - I'm not going to get this out of the way now. This guy is a nightmare to me. No, I don't know the read progressions or other nuances of what's supposed to happen, but there were so many things obvious from the stands about why he is setting up this team to fail. First off, they ran the same play with zero success at least 3 times where Allen rolls out to his right with dump off passes in front of him and the TE drags across the field. It was covered every single time. Then, after the refs messed up a quick snap play, they run a throw-away play on 3rd and long. On that same drive, we used two time outs because we couldn't figure out what we were doing. On one of the timeouts, DiMarco was lined up at WR. Are you kidding me?! I also can't understand the QB keeper on 3rd and long. You take away the turnovers that setup field goals and our TD that was a broken play, I don't know what our offense was doing today. However, he does get credit for calling the game winning drive. For those who want to talk about talent, let me remind you of Gailey. We were fantastic on offense for a while there with Stevie, Nelson, Jones, Freddy, and Fitz. You telling me that those guys were better than what we have now? It's not talent. There's much bigger problems here. 2 - Milano - This kid impresses me more every game. He's turning into one of our best defensive players. Watching him in real time fly to the ball, hack at the ball, and just make tackles was beyond fun. Don't get me wrong, the whole defense was moving well and Edmunds is improving weekly, but Milano is turning into a force. I love watching him play and hope to see him continue his progression. He plays very aggressive, as does the defense forcing the turnovers we had. I'm loving seeing it all come together. 3 - Phillips - I'm sorry, where the hell did this guy come from? This dude was in the backfield quite a bit and then running all over the field to get the fan hyped up. I don't know what they showed on TV, but he was running behind the qb after plays jumping up and down trying to get the fans into it. It was fantastic. Great pickup this past week and great to see him integrate so quickly. His teammates loved it. 4 - I don't tip, I don't believe in it. She don't make enough money she can quit. I don't tip because society says I have to, I'll tip if someone really puts forth the effort. Tipping automatically is for the birds....She only filled my coffee cup 3 times, I want it filled 6 times. 5 - Allen - If I showed you Allen's stat line at the end of last season, most of us would think that Tyrod was still our starter. Allen was off today. He had a lot of low throws and missed a critical 3rd down throw to a surprisingly open Benjamin. The game plan was to run the ball, but to not break 100 yards is scary at home. You can't blame the pressure today as Allen had more than enough time most of the game. Yes, we are 2-2 with him starting. A BIG shout out to the fact that he led the game winning drive. But honestly, I don't know what I'm seeing from him to make me believe that he can be the guy. It's not just the talent around him. It's not just Daboll. Truth is, I don't know what it is. Probably a little of everything. But right now, I'm not feeling much better about Allen than I did when he started game 2. 6 - Wide Receivers - On the flea flicker to start the game, it was Kelvin and Zay running deep. Both were blanket covered and I was proud Allen for just throwing it away. It's been talked about on here since the game, but Kelvin should not be the guy going deep. It looked like he jogged downfield. There were some plays that he got open, but overall, these guys get zero separation. I still refuse to believe that these guys don't care or forgot how to play. They get open just fine on crossing routes, but I think Daboll's route tree is so uninspired that defenses are sitting all over it. 7 - Running game/Offensive Line - This was easily the best week for our offensive line and rushing attack. Allen had time to throw and we got a majority of our 3rd and short rushing yards. There were solid holes and Shady looked quick as ever. Ivory was a perfect change of pace back who bruised the defense. If not for these two factors, I don't think we are winning this game. 8 - Defensive Tackling - Yes, we held them to 12 points and yes we won. However, I'm starting to get concerned with our defensive tackling. Both on Special Teams and plays in the backfield, we are letting guys break free for big gains for what should be losses. I'm not talking about Hughes letting go of Mariota, as that's a whole other embarassment by the league. I've overall worried about how this is going to bite us when we are in a close battle against a better team. I think it will haunt us. 9 - Clay - Where has Clay been all season? He had his one catch over the middle that made me remember the games he had last year. He's healthy and a mismatch. Why are we not using him more? Daboll? It's pathetic the waste of talent we have there. 10 - Bojorquez - Not be old school, but aren't kickers supposed to be seen and not heard? We are 5 games into the season and he's cost us points now twice. His misunderstanding of us doing a fake FG cost us again. Also, his punts do not get enough hang time to allow our defense to get downfield to cover. I'm not feeling the love with this kid, regardless of the stats. He does pin some guys in the 20, but he also hurts us more than a punter should be able too. I'm sorry if these thoughts feel off. I feel off about the team. The defense is coming together, but getting wasted by the offense. We beat a team that now has two games where they didn't score a touchdown. Is that a win for us or a loss for them? Clay, Shady, were weapons last year that we can't seem to fully utilize. Other teams do so much more on offense with less. When does that change here? Are we going to have to fire Daboll and start from scratch again next season? Will Beane even know how to hire an offensive guy as the good ones are getting the HC jobs now. We need to figure out something on offense. Go Bills!
  11. They sent Zay deep on the play too. Both had zero separation. You could tell Josh didn’t even want to throw it
  12. Actually up in Buffalo sans laptop for the weekend. Probably going to knock it out tonight. I tried to do it from my phone, but that was a nightmare.
  13. This is an automated response. Please use the search function before shady and 26 hunt you down. ?
  14. Yeah, not even close. Not saying it to be a dick, but that’s not how that goes at all. They modernized the movie, which I believe took them in the pop direction for her. It seemed weird to have her so that from how she started, but that’s all
  15. She was good. I think they tried to make her a little too Streisand at times. By the end, her character is a little Gaga too. I actually had a harder time with Cooper as a musician. The camera usually didn’t show him actually playing anything and his voice was okay
  16. Just got back from "A Star is Born." Makes me curious to see the original. Overall really good, but not sure how I feel about the ending.
  17. I think everyone knew who they wanted.
  18. I’ll be honest, that’s not totally crazy
  19. I feel like this is an area where he trusts the process a little too much. Also, he knows defense and knew how to jump in Frazier’s face when it wasn’t doing well. He may not know how to with the offense
  20. If I can get 3rds for either, I take it. If not, ride it out.
  21. Big spoon!
  22. You’re right, he didn’t get it out in under 3 seconds the whole game but he did it enough to where we had to adjust our scheme and slow down the rush.
  23. We ran a wide front that play and Rodgers on escapes because Hughes was held like crazy. Right in front of the white hat no less
