What separates the Chiefs from every other team…
BeastMaster replied to Bills Bud's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I'm being honest, there is more truth to the OP's point than some may want to admit. KC appears to be very tough mentally and still very hungry...probably moreso than the majority of players on this current Bills team. I think Cincinnati also showed that when they came into Orchard Park with a makeshift Oline and still pushed us around. The Bills did seem to try and address it this season, and I think we are tougher, but maybe not so much mentally...and certainly not to the level of the KC's and Cincinnati's of the league -
Their playoff numbers are both off the charts. The difference is Allen's defense has failed him when he put them in position to win Josh matches Mahomes greatness when they play.

Joe Brady Officially Promoted as Bills OC!
BeastMaster replied to KDIGGZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
What holds him back more than anything is that he makes poor decisions, and that his defenses fold easily when facing Mahomes and Burrow -

Purdy honestly had a case numbers wise until his meltdown against Baltimore. We all can see the talent he has around him and the great offensive mind, but at least he had the numbers there for awhile. Lamar received MVP hype because his team was great, and it was primarily because of their defense and the run game. Josh deserved at least one MVP and at least one SB by now Sean McDermott is the reason why these things haven't happened already -
Mahomes knows it, too That's why he was cheezing running around Highmark like a kid that stole another one over Allen McDermott has failed Josh and now the Chiefs own us in the playoffs The same result will happen every time we play them because that's what our coach does

Once again we saw what smart people know, and that's that Allen, Burrow, and Mahomes are the real top 3 QB's in the game Lamar isn't in their class, and the playoff performances along with the stats bear that out Another MVP for a guy that is riding his team's defense until he gets outplayed by the Allen's and Mahomes' of the league when it matters most -
I don't think it was that impressive because Lamar had a clear weakness passing the ball outside of the hash marks. Credit given for shutting him down, but let's not pretend he shut down a true elite QB. Lamar is still a limited passer that doesn't dissect a defense if we are being honest

The law of averages doesn't apply to teams that get out coached and dominated by top QB's every playoffs Thinking that we will eventually get our turn because that's how it works is simply foolish nonsense Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, Zac Taylor, and Joe Burrow are going to step on McDermotts neck at every opportunity in the playoffs Expecting a different result when this has happened the last four seasons is the definition of insanity

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - I Just Love the Bills
BeastMaster replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Congratulations on finally accepting the fate of being a Bills fan I will never accept it, and will continue to use my pain to fuel me as an individual -
At the end, how Josh Allen's carrer will look like ?
BeastMaster replied to Repulsif's topic in The Stadium Wall
Imagine Terry Pegula allowing McDermott to ruin Josh's career and legacy because he's content with the product he's put out there. I can't support this franchise with tickets and merchandise anymore until they give Allen a coaching staff that isn't outmatched everytime they go up against a top team -
Mr. Pegula please read Tyler Dunne’s newest article

But if Diggs makes the catch, it's a fantastic decision that may have won the game. Hindsight is always 20/20, and Kurt Warners analysis is exactly that -

BeastMaster replied to Repulsif's topic in The Stadium Wall
In the eyes of the media, Lamar is already better than Josh. Mahomes obviously, and Burrow too since Josh also loses to him. Josh will be looked at as just a guy who compiled numbers...nothing more, and nothing less. The only way this changes is with rings and MVP's, and neither one seems attainable without this team taking the next step. -
You could have two teams that are 14-3 and didn't play each other, but the team that wins the tiebreaker cause of conference record or opponent win % should enjoy not just home field against them, but also a bye week so they had a much easier path? I wanna see the title game played evenly rest wise if those top two win their respective games to meet each other for a chance to go to the big game
-
The best you could hope for is that they go to 8 teams per conference for the playoffs with a bye for the 1 and 2 seed. It feels too easy a path for me being a 1 seed that plays one game to be in the title game , while the opponent goes through a gauntlet. Give the two the same thing so that if it lines up the top two from the regular season advance to face each other in the title game, it's more even. The one seed enjoys too much of an advantage IMO

Allen was legendary (even better than 13 seconds Allen)
BeastMaster replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't care. Wanna be a legend and beat Mahomes? Make the throw. You are saying it's ok that he missed the touchdown throw to possibly win the game. Fine...just don't claim he had a legendary performance. Legends make that play...excuses are for losers. -
Richard Sherman was on undisputed and was talking complete nonsense because Allen had zero plays of 20+ yards. He said that Brock Purdy had a better game, which is simply a horrible take. I thought this guy was smart, but he clearly didn't realize that the KC defense is top of the league in pass D and we wanted to manage the clock and keep the D off the field. The deep shots that were dropped were brought up, but he dismissed them because they weren't caught. I tuned out after that because it was just bad analysis

It's almost as if some of you are happy he will be back Settling for McDermott is what people that are resigned to never winning anything do. Enjoy the brutal playoff losses every season
-
Not the type of wideout we need on this roster Need a speed guy with reliable hands
-
Not realistic to expect Josh to be any better Maybe his receivers need to catch better, but Josh himself is playing at as high a level as possible
-
McDermott - Excuses, Valid but concerning
BeastMaster replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Andy would have never won it in Philly, and Sean will never win it in Buffalo That's about where the similarities end -
McDermott will scapegoat himself using injuries as an excuse
BeastMaster replied to BeastMaster's topic in The Stadium Wall
It took him leaving Philly and drafting Mahomes Mahomes and Reid own McDermott in the playoffs Maybe we'll have a chance when Andy calls it quits Or maybe not Definition of insanity is giving McDermott another year of prime Josh Allen to throw away
