  1. The league isn't fixed but I will die on the hill that the NFL referees have biases towards bigger market teams and players. So much leeway is given to big name players in the NFL.
  2. I think that this is a more solid win than a lot of people are giving the Bills credit for. Stuff to work on? Sure, but how many drives were stalled out by Spencer Brown alone? There were some miscues from Allen but he did more good than bad. Davis looked like a legit #2 and Singletary did fairly well. The Bills definitely got too conservative on first/second down in the second half. We aren't going to be a clock control team this season. Defense held solid on 4th downs and did exactly what the scheme is supposed to do: Bend don't break. So yeah, solid win. Keep that rolling into next week.
  3. I didn't say that I wanted to replace Sanders with Gabe completely. I think missing Sanders forces Daboll to be more creative with his play calling.
  4. The offense runs better when Sanders isn't on the field anyways. It forces Daboll to be more creative.
  5. Because Daboll never uses his depth unless he has to.
  6. Sanders hurts the offense. He's a good player and it's not his fault, but Daboll is incredibly predictable and boring with Diggs/Sanders/Bease. With Sanders out it opens up the offense for Davis/McKenzie to come in and do some good stuff. It's a Daboll problem though.
  7. I prefer using the free agency for lineman, because I don't trust Bobby Johnson in development of lineman anymore. I agree with the sentiment though.
  8. He will likely pass Cookie this season. Does this include postseason TDs as well?
  9. I think Dane Jackson is serviceable, and that's pretty impressive from a 7th round pick. I would have preferred some more investment into the position though this draft. It's a position that's been ignored for too long.
  10. McCarthy makes decisions that make you question whether or not he actually knows the rules of football. McDermott is definitely not to that level, but he makes poor conservative choices that I think make it harder to win football games. Also, the dude won a super bowl as HC. If McDermott is the same thing, sign me up.
  11. Why do you need their names? Are you going to personally tar and feather them? That's weird as hell man.
  12. Every time I see that image I can feel my blood pressure going up. I hope that referee who didn't call that steps on a whole bunch of legos barefoot in the dark.
  13. If you watch the second half of this game and don't think that Allen was by far the most dangerous man on either team then I don't know what the tell you. He was sensational.
  14. This is kind of the by product of having a real, franchise star QB, right? There are so many things not clicking/working right yet the Bills have been in every game with multiple chances to win in spite of it. If we had even a middle of the pack QB we'd be getting blown out. Allen is single-handedly keeping this offense from looking like a disaster in my opinion.
  15. If that's your stance, then we might as just not have standards of what's acceptable or not. I don't really understand your nihilism on refereeing, but you do you I guess.
  16. I'd argue that for a referee of a multi-billion dollar sport, missing a clear and obvious call that is clear and obvious in the moment is inexcusable and should be shamed, not handwaved away.
  17. I understand what you're trying to say, but there's no excuse for them to miss clear and obvious penalties. These aren't ticky tack to the letter of the rule calls, it's apparent and clear in the moment to everyone but that ref.
  18. Allen needed to win against too many things today... He had to beat the refs, the Bucs, their own coaching staff, and the corpse of a gameplan. He almost did it to his credit. The man is a warrior.
  19. The offense plays so much better when you can flex Sanders spot for Davis or McKenzie.
  20. I mean this is just the refs blatantly favoring the Bucs. Absolutely insane.
  21. He needs to change his mindset. Just another awful game from him.
  22. This coaching staff doesn't deserve Allen. He willed this game to OT, he put everybody on his back and said "you're coming with me". What does the coach do? Take the ball out of his hands at the most crucial moments. McDermott's conservative mindset lost us this game. You can complain about the reffing, which was objectively terrible, but we know that the Bills never get the calls when it matters. STOP TAKING THE BALL OUT OF JOSH'S HANDS IN CRUCIAL MOMENTS.
  23. Taron Johnson, if only because I don't think we have the corners to watch the boundaries without massive safety help, and that's going to put stress on the slot.
  24. I'm probably sounding like a broken record now but the only guy I'm really down on in the whole organization is Daboll. I've only been down on him this season too, he did an arguably excellent job in 2020 and a good enough job in 2019. This year he's all over the place, and I feel like the strength of roster is really masking how poor a lot of the playcalls are.
