  1. It's social media, isn't the default always negative?
  2. All of this right here is revisionist history. Zay had just set a college record for catches, all signs pointed to him being a good player...but you’re making it sound like you knew and the Bills should’ve known that all of those guys picked after him were all going to end up as good as they are. I’m not saying you shouldn’t be sour on trading up or anything like that, but you’re making it sound like it was so easy to just pick one of those other guys.I get your logic, just not the approach. Now if you were in these discussion boards banging your hands on the table at the time of that draft that’s a different story, I’m not sure that was happening though at the time
  3. And without Hopkins he still threw for almost 5000 yards, only had 7 interceptions, 112 rating, and did all this with really no one to throw to. What I’m taking aim at in your comments is you said it’s not even debatable that Josh is superior. While it looks like Watson is a creep, the guy is an incredibly talented quarterback and you saying it shouldn’t even be debated is laughable. Obviously as a Bills fan I want Allen ranked higher and i do in fact think he will end up being the better QB but I’m also not discounting or degrading what Watson can do on the field
  4. Well why didn't someone just say this at the beginning of this thread?? Then this wouldn't have carried on for 4 pages! Take off you Bills colored glasses for a second and it's certainly debatable. Josh had a better season this past season, but Watson has been at a very high level since he entered the league - can't say the same about Josh
  5. I’m good with where he is-Brady and Wilson have done this for years, Josh has had 1 excellent season. If he plays as well as we all expect him to next season, then he will be a top 2 QB on every list
  6. These are the biggest markets in the league, lots of people watch whether or not they are good. You might not want to admit it, but Dallas is the most popular team in the league so yes they are going to get lots of prime time games. The league doesn’t care if they get blown out-they also have a great offense so they are entertaining to watch. It’s all about getting people to watch these prime time games, and the numbers back up the fact that when these teams are on in prime time people will watch
  7. Oh I understand that, but most of not all of these players don’t live year round in the cities they play in. So you are now discouraging them from working out in the off-season. Just saying, they are on a very slippery slope with this
  8. I feel like the league and teams are setting themselves up for some big problems. So perhaps the players move to the city they play in full time so they can train (definitely not feasible though, especially for a city like Buffalo) or these guys are going to show up to camp out of shape
  9. Looks official-I mean he DID use the notes section on his phone...you would think though that all of his 21 followers would want to see the schedule on something a little nicer
  10. There is no issue with the salary cap next year for the Bills, people need to stop saying that. Case in point: KC is on this list-do you really think that with all of the contracts KC had on their roster they are in better shape than Buffalo? There are so many ways to manipulate the cap, it’s really not an issue. You mentioned that Buffalo is at a disadvantage yet they have a huge advantage over everyone on that list except for maybe KC-the Bills have Josh Allen. First, once he signs his extension his cap hit will go down significantly and second, guys are going to want to come to Buffalo to be on his team. There really is almost literally no issue in regards to the cap foe the Bills whatsoever
  11. I'm with you on this. I keep reading that Feliciano is our nastiest lineman and we need that nastiness. While that could be true (but VERY debatable) there's also a reason why he was cheap. I would rather have him as a backup and a spot starter - he's not good enough to be a full time starter. There were several times last year where he was completely knocked on his butt and the play was blown up because of that. Don't get me wrong, I think he should be on the team, but I don't like him as a starter. Nasty and mean and tough (and whatever other superlatives people are throwing at him) are fine, but I would rather have someone in there who is good
  12. Sorry I’m still confused, you’re explaining yourself pretty poorly when it comes to taking in that dead money. They intentionally took that dead money hit so they would have more money for future years. If they would have pushed that money further down the road as you suggest, they would’ve had even less money to spend. The other points you made in hindsight don’t look good, although some of those situations like Spain didn’t seem questionable when they gave him the contract
  13. There’s already a 2017 draft grade thread started
  14. You mean to tell me the Bills didn’t listen to you?? Why didn’t you tell them sooner that Williams was better than the guy they drafted?!?!
  15. I would be more on board with a CB if they feel the value is there....and I should say I'm not 100% for Etienne, but I do think Buffalo is in a great position of not needing to reach for a guy
  16. But again, you are suggesting taking a football player who is not as good as the player they are taking. It gets talked about all the time - in the first round take the best player available. Speed isn't the only thing - if it was Brieda wouldn't be on his third team in 3 years and that prospect you mentioned wouldn't be a 7th round talent. There are several edge rushers taken before the Bills pick in this mock, so you are taking the 5th or 6th best edge rusher in the first round. That is a terrible use of assets. I agree that the Bills need an edge rusher, but not an edge rusher at all costs in the first round just to take an edge rusher
  17. Look at this picks above the Bills pick - so you would rather take a clearly second tier (at best) edge rusher over a player who is clearly a much better player?
  18. Great, so now the Bills will have used 6 first round picks on him? Did we ever actually figure out how many first round picks were used on him in the first place??
  19. Sorry I’m not picking on you specifically, but my question is why? Isn’t this supposed to be entertainment? Aren’t these guys supposed to be having fun? It’s one of the few times the NFL lets these guys show some personality-I just think the whole “act like you’ve been there before” trope is so boring and played out. If they want to hand the ball to the ref, cool...but if they want to celebrate, let them celebrate
  20. Obviously it depends on what’s being offered. They can’t go back too far and still be able to give Tua reliable weapons to be successful this year. They will probably be the most intriguing team to watch on that first night of the draft
  21. Wait, you’re seriously saying he wouldn’t get on the field over Sam Rogers or John Holacek?? Yikes! Putting that aside doe just a second, you can’t compare older linebackers to now. Most linebackers from the 80’s and 90’s wouldn’t be able to play in today’s game-they weren’t fast enough or athletic enough. I understand that you’re voicing your displeasure about Edmunds and I love a good hyperbole too, just seems a bit too far out there
  22. I hate that he’s such a me first player. The guy has selfish written all over him. I just wish he would just be happy with any money and sign for LESS than the league minimum *to those who can’t notice the obvious sarcasm, this was written with a large dose of it
  23. I’m going to suggest that you change the trade compensation for Ertz before some of the other members here read your post. No way the Bills would give up a second for Ertz, ESPECIALLY if the Eagles get Pitts (not gonna happen) and have no need for Ertz any more
  24. Sounds like a great deal for the Falcons! They get this magical third round pick that people around here love to mention so much! And all they have to do is drop 26 spots in the draft to get it!!!
