I think that even if the Panthers do a full-blown rebuild, the one guy that you keep and build around is CMC. Well the cap is due for a significant bump this season already - to somewhere around $200m or possibly more. Poyer’s primary concern is probably getting another long term deal done as soon as possible though, regardless of higher cap jumps in 2021 or beyond. Injuries can happen at any time and derail future deals.

idk most of his measurables seem to put him up there, and he did average something like 9 catches per game? I can see why some would have him projected there. I tend to agree with you though and I never wanted him for the Bills
