  1. Oh he’ll be almost guaranteed to at least make the practice squad next year as well - the exemption attached to his international status lasts 2 years. I hope he makes the 53 though.
  2. I can’t see Beane making the same mistake twice but go ahead bleacher report do your thing. B/R is absolute trash by the way save your brain cells and skip it
  3. end game for anything mcmahon does is to make money for mcmahon. Ideally, make money and earn accolades along with it. best way to do that you already alluded to - become a viable “G League” for the NFL that people will watch and strike up the consequent partnerships with the NFL. You ain’t missing anything.
  4. And to the NFL’s credit, they have none of those, as you noted. College is a different story but I gave up on the NCAA a long time ago.
  5. yeah that’s all good i was referring to exotic animals - tigers (i think LSU has one) and the like.
  6. Poor pup. Live mascots are stupid as hell by the way (and cruel, in some cases.)
  7. 40 to 1 is what, 2.5% thereabouts? Mathletes in the thread can correct me. I’d give Allen a 2% chance of winning MVP next year, sure. Not quite certain why you think this is validating anything though.
  8. The bolded is where we disagree and probably why our opinions differ on the pick compensation. I am still unsure about how close to that cusp Allen is. But if you think he’s there on the brink that’s all good. I certainly hope you’re right.
  9. not a chance in heck that would happen but I definitely think there are plenty of coaches around the league that have seen Allen and are in love with his skillset. And most of those coaches certainly think they could hammer out the few weaknesses in his game. So two second rounders or thereabouts would be my guess.
  10. Even if it is just speculation from a reporter at this point, I certainly can see why the Rams would want to move him. Trouble is no one in their right mind would take him with his current deal, not without some very attractive extra compensation attached to the trade. Rams ain’t got any of that, at least in the form of draft picks.
  11. We taking the over for big dollars. edit: to elaborate, i don’t believe in season-to-season strength of schedule. I know it looks tough now based on last season, but it really means nothing year over year. The bills are likely to regress a bit on defense a bit but also improve (maybe a lot) on offense, depending on what they do. 8.5? Im sprinting to the casino taking the over.
  12. Well that sucks. I fully expect the Jags to jerk this up in some way and he holds out and forces his way out though.
  13. yeah that’s a hope, not a prediction in the same way “allen’s a mvp candidate this year” is. You could have saved yourself much grief if you had just titled your thread “I hope josh allen is a mvp candidate.” Again you can backpedal and post cute gifs till you hit the pacific homie nothing changes. The fact that it isn’t just me calling you out should tell you something. You don’t expect your wife to birth a boy or girl, you may have a preference and hope for that, but expecting it is, idk, stupid?
  14. only $11,000 guaranteed though. No doubt Wade is taking a significant risk coming over and trying this. Can’t find what he was making, but the top handful of guys in the UK make somewhere around 800,000 - 1m £ a year? Not an expert I’m sure someone can correct me on those figures. So if Wade hangs out for the full contract term he can do pretty well.
  15. and american football is king in the US so why bother playing hockey? London would sell out a full 16 game slate easily.
  16. Ah yes, I too always make bets and predictions without any expectation that they could actually happen in reality. Very nuanced way of thinking.
  17. Just draft one on Day 3 and let him fight it out with MB. Not that crucial.
  18. if they are in “full on rebuild” as you claim, why not inquire on McCaffrey instead of Moore? Surely a team in “full on rebuild” would make everyone available no? Personally i’d rather have CmC.
  19. he was on twitter right after the game ended. Looked like he was having fun ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  20. well if you express your tiredness of those who wanted mahomes like you just did then there’s no problem.
  21. The people manufacturing reasons to doubt mahomes or just straight up slandering the guy are the ones with sour grapes, since you obviously didn’t read the thread.
  22. it’s either sour grapes or just complete idiocy. Some people just don’t understand that we don’t want to hear what cousin bubba’s opinions are about mahomes’ orientation. as far as “boring” goes, the game had what? 4 lead changes and 4 turnovers? Multiple long runs and passes by both teams? Again, more sour grapes i suppose but who knows around here.
  23. Jeep groundhog day and that’s about it (im biased.)
  24. the bears (and whoever else) f-ing up does not absolve the bills of the same.
