I was going to post the same thoughts. And now an INT. Yet zero criticism from the announcers. If this were Allen, we'd be hearing all about his fatal flaws.
Rodgers is definitely a player in decline.
Florio seems to think the Bills are saving this for the playoffs. I disagree. He and Simms say the Bills will "unleash" Allen as a runner, but I really don't look for that to happen.
Looks like Barkley's two starts for us will both be against the Jets. Let's hope this one goes like the last one! Hopefully Gase will give up like he did in the finale vs. Miami last year.
Am I the only one who doesn't like this? This does two things:
*Cheapens the meaning of the reception when they win big games/makes it an every game thing regardless of result
*Sends the message that the fans are into moral victories and are accepting today's loss
I went on and on about how great the airport reception was last week, but this strikes me as embarrassing.
Allen openly acknowledges that he sucked in first half and was jittery. Says he needs to figure out how not to be jittery at the beginning of games. At least he's not shying away from what we all see.
I couldn't believe how Warner was defending him. It was obviously a pick and obviously a sell. Typical Edelman.
I'm letting it bleed into my life. I just got mad at two guys at the store and told them to take a damn shower because their BO was affecting the whole store.
So for our brutal 4-game stretch:
* 2-2 record
* Outscored opponents 77-73
* Lost to top two seeds in AFC 24-17, 24-17
We're so close. If you believe Allen is progressing, you're very hopeful at this point.
I'm not seeing any passion from my team today. They seem to be content with their playoff spot, just going through the motions.
I'm very disappointed, McDermott.
