Freaking classes start tonight. I may very well have to up and leave an hour into the first class of the semester. (Hey, I"ve been working on it for 10 years now, what's half a class?!)

Beautiful, ain't it? I am much more worried about Carolina than I am about the Oilers. It's so damn close I can almost taste it. Either way I'm incredibly proud of our boys! The feeling is comparable to the early 90's Bills... I just know they'll keep winning. -Jeff

I agree with what someone else said about the .30-06 being a tad big for deer. In retrospect, I probably should have gotten a .270. The only thing I don't like about my gun is the synthetic stock. I bought it to keep the weight down, but it certainly hurts like hell after 5 - 10 rounds in the early fall prior to the season. You can pick up a bore-sighter for ~50. I've used mine a few times now on my small collection of rifles. Buy two or three different makes of premium rounds and take 'em to the range. Put a few of each through it and get a feel for which one your gun/you like better, then use the same stuff out hunting. Congratulations =) I just wish I had more time to go hunt myself. Camp I head to is 2 1/2 hours south of Atlanta, not exactly something I can do on a boring Saturday morning. I only get out 2 or 3 times a year, and a .30-06 isn't exactly a fun range gun. Edit: Bass Pro screwed up and I got it for $200 off of list. -Jeff

Exactly. I get crap all the time too. I come back with, "yeah, but we went to FOUR." The response is usually a silence followed by, "yeah but you lost them all." I then reply with "yeah, but we went to FOUR", and the response is "yeah, but you lost them all." I then reply with "yeah, but we went to FOUR", and the response is "yeah, but you lost them all." And so it continues... until we've got one under our belts, there's no escape.

Ok, am I reading this right? Not to look ahead as I know that's very bad luck, but if the Sabres beat NJ/Car, they'll have home ice in the finals no matter who makes it through. Nah, ya got it all wrong. Let me put it another way.... "Trying not to get too excited, but OHHH YEAAHH!!!!!!!" Everything about this team is great. The best part is that they're on the upswing, so as you said, a ton to look forward to next year regardless of how this season ends.

As a Buffalo sports fan, I know we've got a 1 in 100000 chance of watching that happen. But I'll be damned if I'm not convinced we'll draw the right card.
