  1. It might sound odd, but it always bothers me on TV and I really like it in person. Weird.
  2. I don’t post much these days (here or elsewhere, honestly), but it’s been part of my routine since Todd Collins (though I think my name was different). Hell, my wife said “you’ve been reading that site the whole time we’ve been married” a few weeks ago.. that’s 24 years!
  3. Ticketmaster’s tech is actually super impressive. They’re almost entirely a tech company at this point, given most sales are online in some fashion. They had some cool clustering stuff even 10-15 years ago or more. This one smells of an intern enabling codes days too early, coupled with intentional single use “codes.” Which FWIW always seemed to me like everyone sharing the same damn passwords. I however have tickets and seats on a jet, so good to go here again!
  4. Yo! Losing tickets apparently! I still check this place every day (and I have since Todd Collins). Happy to see you do too!
  5. Same thing happened to me. Here’s the text of what they sent. Apparently they activated the “BILLSMAFIA” and “CHIEFSKINGDOM” codes before STH, and tons sold and hit secondary at warp speed. I bought and had no idea that’s where my tickets came from. It’s more of a TM eff up than it is an “unauthorized code”, but here we are. It sucks, but STH now rightfully get first go. If it were any other business, I’d expect them to do a “make it right”, but I don’t see any potential for that here. I guess I’ll wait and try again in a couple days. Son of a… I’ll also make sure to go with a competitor to TM next time. — Attention Ticketholder, The tickets you purchased were acquired by a buyer who used an unauthorized code. As such, your tickets have been canceled and your card has been refunded in full. You should see the refund processed in seven to 10 business days. AFC Championship Game Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA Sunday, January 29th at 6:30PM You may have an opportunity to purchase tickets at a later time, subject to availability. Please visit your team's site for further onsale dates/times. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Ticketmaster Fan Support
  6. I agree, and I promise I’m not being a downer or a jerk, but unfortunately it isn’t the case that they can’t happen later as well. I find a bit of comfort in knowing the second and third stringers are getting the reps early, getting a better look, and are more of a known quality. Thus, if needed later as well…
  7. Not a bad idea. Leaning forward in a seat is not something I’m even aware to pay attention to. It’s obnoxious because you need to be self aware that you’re leaning in a *^*}% seat at a ^}*+^% hockey game. I did it like three or four times, but never intentionally, just because like… moving in a seat is something I’ve never had to check before. It’’s not natural to sit back and relax. I had forgotten entirely about that stupid rule.
  8. I saw the Sabres there a few years ago and this blew my mind. When I’d lean forward, due to you know, hockey excitement, either an usher or the people behind me would tell me to lean back. I didn’t stand as I had no reason to… but leaning! Double you tee eff.
  9. Looked it up myself. Legit. Fins wieners are disagreeing with him and asserting their connection is nothing like Hill/Tua. I should hope not.
  10. I’ve been around since the Todd Collins days; still here! This place remains awesome.
  11. I’ve paid attention since about 1985 or so, really got in during the run. Born into it, but actually started caring around the first grade. The first thing I remember is the KC championship during that run. I don’t really have a favorite player? I know that sounds odd, but the team is more important. My forum name is just the first two letters of my last name followed by my first! It’s not my first though. I lost that one, but I do remember discussing Todd Collins on this board, so there’s that!
  12. I will be starting a petition to rename the Bills to “the Jeffs” immediately. Best idea I’ve seen this evening at least.
  13. I could have sworn NFL Josh did that once as well, I'm going to have to go dig through videos to see if I can find it now.
  14. Yo! Yeah, I still read quite a bit. I missed this crew so I figured I’d reset my password and log back in. I remember having Todd Collins conversations here, so I’m kinda stuck I guess.
  15. It’s probably so he remembers how to play in front of a friggin’ home crowd.
  16. ` Bells was the first -- and only -- place I've ever surfed. An undertow Maynard would be proud of.
  17. If we had won any of those other games we bombed, it wouldn't matter either. Oakland lead. Seattle. Those first two. The first Miami. Fitz's Hall of Fame performance. We wrapped up exactly where we put ourselves. Getting the help makes it no worse for me.
  18. I haven't posted here in probably a good four years, mostly because life gets in the way. I still read every day. That said? You, sir, have driven me to come out of my cave and post. I had this exact same thought last night, with a five year shift on the age. I'm 37 and the last time they were actually worth much of a damn? I was 16. Slowly post-Polian downhill from then on, never to dig themselves back out. I was 20 when that whole backwards lateral thing went down.
  19. So, if anyone wants to actually see this clown orgy in better quality... if you hit the settings link and choose a video quality (I went w/ "medium"), it will stop doing that intermittent fuzzy switch as it won't try to renegotiate a speed. That's assuming you've enough bandwidth to be above the worst option.
  20. I'm a TV guy now. The stadium crowd usually isn't my cup of tea these days, and that's fine. I like attending games, but I just don't have the patience for some of the stuff that goes on there these days. I enjoy keeping my fat ass on the couch with a good IPA or six. It's not that I have a problem with the people at the games, I hope they're having a great time. I'd just rather not deal with it.
  21. I'm more concerned w/ Fitz than I am Chan. I'm too damn lazy to pay enough attention to tally it, but I'm curious how much yardage we lost to Fitz' powderpuff arm. Edit: Just to be clear though, we're still talking about Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dumb. Just, given the choice of a better option today, I'd take a different QB.
  22. Well, there's that cemetery fenced off over there. I don't remember which lot that is. Used to ride our bikes all around there when we were kids. So, Indians or no indians, someone's not getting a good eternity's sleep! http://www.buffalospree.com/Buffalo-Spree/June-2012/The-Bills-Curse/ (I realize this is pure nonsense, but it's easier to admit that PISSED OFF INDIAN SPIRITS are causing our woes than it is to admit that we just always suck)
  23. Nah, emotions aside, I agree with this entirely. If Fitz completed passes past the LOS and could turn down the rate of ints, then it is a different game. I can't even really argue the play calling. Given the ability to not "pass like a girl", it might work out.
  24. As much as I want to fire the whole team and start over, I'm kind of sick of firing the whole team and starting over. Another coaching search, another year of decent coaches turning us down. Another year of rebuilding, followed by two years of mediocre football because we were only able to get WGR's coach of the week to take the job.
