  1. I think someone posted already, but here's the thinking on betting line: 1. Tua plays: Bills -7 or -7.5 2. No Tua/Bridegwater: -13.5 or -14.5 I think there's a very low chance Teddy is back from his pinky injury, in 2 weeks. The -10.5 line is basically giving Tua 50/50 chance of playing... if the line gets to -13 or -14 throughout the week, then I'd speculate Tua is out
  2. Hamlin FaceTime and addressed the team post-game, not sure exactly what was said...but Josh referenced it in post game interview
  3. 2 kick return scores took away 2 possessions, cmon man use some common sense.
  4. He was out there in the 2nd half, but agree he's still bothered by his shoulder. Just looks like a pain tolerance issue right now, as he's battling thru it (leaves games and returns).
  5. Go Bills! Continued prayers for Damar!
  6. Pwrsonally, I like Cams abaility at FS... I think he will be a good fit with Jordan. He brings more athleticism, and even though he made a mistake against the Vikes, he has better ball skills
  7. Lol. 5 yard "run", by Dobbs... I don't think they'll be doing that much more. Hmmm.....look at that 12 yard run on 1st down....keep pounding Henry
  8. Not when your defense is playing as well as it is, and your QB is a journeyman who has been with the team less than 1 month. Derrick Henry is that offense, gonna break one eventually.
  9. Weaver, Hamlins teammate at Pitt, having a very solid game for Titans.
  10. Titans defense playing extremely well. Henry is eventually going to break a long run....Titans just need to stick with run/run/pass
  11. Chiefs defensive backs, hold/illegal contact on probably 80% of passing plays. Not sure why thr NFL refs refuse to enforce the rules.
  12. All good brother, good post! Yeah Tre seems to be grabbing alot, because he doesn't seem to be moving his feet enough. Hopefully his elite quickness comes back soon, but realistically it's more likely for next year. That's part of my rationale of getting Cam on the field, at FS. He brings some athleticism, and think we need more speed in the secondary too. Getting Elam out there more would help.too.
  13. Teddy Bridgewater says hello
  14. I'm glad you decided to edit your post, because what you said before was inappropriate and lacked empathy the situation. Nobody should act like they knew the outcome, or put any %s on it. Both teams were rattled...and rightfully so. If I'm Cincy, I'd be upset that the NFL didn't stick with the "winning % rule". It wouldn't let them get the 1 seed, but would have allowed them to rest players against Ravens this week (similar to what they did LY). Beyond that, it is what it is.
  15. 100% agree. Cam offers a bit more athleticism, and coverage ability, at the FS spot...just my opinion. I'd be surprised if it's not him starting Sunday.
  16. Usually you're spot on, but this is way off base. 1. Bills staff is NOT going to move an all-pro corner to FS, just because he's still recovering from a torn acl. Perhaps this is considered in 12 months, if his burst/speed isn't back to normal. But right now, we need to be patient as he continues to get more comfortable and that knee will improve. 2. People act like moving a player, who has played corner their entire career, over to safety is an overnight thing. Micah transitioned, as did Poyer, now so is Cam..but it's not a move you'd do mid/late season...and these guys weren't all-pro at CB before their move either. 3. Cam/Dean/Quan: all 3 of these guys are going to be better options, than shifting Tre White to FS, at this point of the season. I still have faith that one of these 3 will step up for us. I don't remember seeing Cam or Quan, lined up with Poyer this year. Makes a HUGE difference with Jordan out there. Benford is another story, but if they had plans to move him (or Tre), we wouldn't have signed Mayden this week.
  17. Saying this another way... *potentially*, we lose the bye week but guarantee that we don't have to play an "away" playoff game. To me, that's a pretty fair tradeoff. Beating Cincy was no guarantee, although I still liked our chances. I do like the idea of not having to play on the road.
  18. No. 1st sentence of press release says "for the AFCG, if both teams played an unequal number of games..." 1. We only play Cincy in Afcg: if Buff wins and KC loses (hence Bills jump to 1 seed). All other scenarios, we'd play Bengals in Divisional round (if both teams advance) 2. Since we play same number of games as Cincy, the "neutral field" discussion becomes void for Afcg. As biased as I am toward Bills, this really screws over Cincy. Helps KC, but also helps us. With a win Sunday....worst case: home/home/neutral. Best: bye/home/home. Everyone can argue that we'd have won or lost against Cincy, but nobody knows how things would have gone. I'm just happy with today's Damar news + this outcome, which is reasonable enough for me.
  19. Interesting....but prefer they just flip a coin and be done with it.
  20. I'm trying to remember if we saw a combination of Poyer/Johnson earlier this year? I know we had Johnson and Damar... My guess is that Cam Lewis is ahead of Marlowe. Cam brings some athleticism, albeit some questionable decision making
  21. 100% agree. No easy decision/solution, or it would have been made already. JMO, but I tend to like the coin flip idea: 1. It doesn't change, or adjust, any other NFL teams games already played. 2. No reason to try and reschedule this game, given circumstances and late season scheduling dilemma. *If this was prior to a bye week, or even a few weeks ago, then schedules could have been adjusted by a few days each week to accommodate. 3. Fairest thing for seeding is to determine a winner/loser. Keeping everything on the basis of 17 games played per team. 4. Finally, million dollar question...how to determine the winner? nothing more fair than a coin flip. Its 50/50 odds and given how evenly these teams were supposed to matchup, this wouldn't bias any outcome. Again, that's just the simplest solution at this point. I'd be partial to doing this coin flip prior to Week 18 games (just as if the result would have been known by now), but going to guess the NFL won't want to create any unnecessary controversy, unless needed.
  22. I'm not trying to assume anything or predict, but will support whatever the coaches/staff/players need to do in order to care for their well-being, and have time to focus on themselves and Damar. That said, everyone processes traumatic situations differently. Personally, talking thru emotions and thoughts with teammates/staff would help me. Then getting my mind "busy" (back to work) and refocused, as more updates come out on Damar is important so I wouldn't let negativity creep in. Again, that's just me and returning to norm as quick as possible (after having a chance to share feelings/process everything) is my coping mechanism. All things change if the unspoken occurs, just positive thoughts/prayers that encouraging updates on Damar come out in the next day or so. I also have complete trust/faith in Beane and Coach, to help guide and lead the team thru this difficult week(s). Family first, and I'm sure they will give every resource to helping the staff/players right now.
  23. Agree, and I mentioned up thread that speculation is not desirable. However, it is helpful to understand what to expect (timing of more info) and what next steps could be / possible causes. Living in Pittsburgh area, Allegheny Health Network (along with UPMC - Steeler team provider group) are the top hospital systems. Below are two articles, which provide key information without trying to speculate/specifically diagnose Hamlin: https://triblive.com/sports/next-24-hours-critical-to-hamlin-recovery-experts-say/ https://www.post-gazette.com/news/health/2023/01/03/damar-hamlin-cardiac-arrest-causes-heart-rhythm/stories/202301030101
  24. Everyone posting about commotio cordis, or other theories are purely speculating. That is not what is needed right now. Just calling attention to the fact that there are a variety of possibilities (all related to irregular heartbeat): afib, cad, etc. What is needed now is continued support/prayer/positive energy, anything but speculation. Please be patient and wait for factual information to be released by Damar's family, representation, or the Bills directly. They have been providing updates throughout the day, and will continue to do so. Just unhealthy and unnecessary to speculate, especially when many of us are already deeply concerned.
