Ha kinda true...that Brisset fumble was critical a few weeks ago. But get your point. Kc seems to get a lot of fortuitous bounces, Cincy just needs 1 stop coming up -

Cincy hopefully ties it up this drive... Eventually that Mahomes luck will fade this game and Bengals will get a couple bounce their way -

Time for Cincy to adjust to the KC all out blitz looks. Higgins or Chase go routes... -
I think both teams continue to evolve, and integrate newer pieces, and the Bills Josh/Dorsey combo will keep improving. I'd not say we went into a "swoon". Josh got injured/ started to turn over the ball in the redzone, and we continue to have key defensive injuries. Going to come down to us hopefully getting healthier and Dorsey/Josh working out minor kinks. Your message comes across like the Chiefs have been dominating teams, which is not true. Could careless about Toney, Edwards....we will hopefully have Tre healthy and getting Von back, if their is a rematch.

Unlikely. It is possible he is FP but still having pain/not 100%. Frazier said as much during a recent interview. This coupled with potentially needing some break (mentally/physically as a rookie) and going against a weak Pats passing attack. Alot of ppl overthinking this and making ridiculous hindsight comments about alternative players to draft. This is the same player who made a critical INT against Chiefs, and has played solid as a rookie thus far. We will need him down the stretch. -
In the Era of Josh Allen, how about a little Jim Kelly love
MasterStrategist replied to wjag's topic in The Stadium Wall
JoPa would say that's why he recruited him to play LB. Kelly was clearly awesome and responsible for alot of that teams success. But that was a more balanced/well rounded team...better oline, RB, superstars on defense (similar to this yr with Von). I'd argue Josh has a bit less talent surrounding him on offense. Josh and Jim both fit this city/fan base perfectly, playing the game like a "football player" (not just a QB), as you said. Eventually Beane will put a better oline in front of Josh, but we have enough pieces to win it all this year....just need to stay healthy. -
Agree, and he's not getting $20m per yr.... 1st off, neither of Giants/Cowboys/Bills can afford that with upcoming contract extensions. 2nd, as mentioned by many, he's no guarantee to return this yr (at full health). Max this yr, likely getting 1-2 reg season games and playoffs. It's likely true he's looking for a multi yr deal. Just can't see us spending what it will likely take to acquire him.

Same concepts as LY, TBH. We have "layer" concepts, with Davis and Diggs occupying the deep/intermediate and then Knox/Rb as outlets. This gave Beas alot of freedom last year, but with Isiah I think he's still learning where to sit in open zones. These concepts tend to struggle against teams that jam our WRs, ie:Chiefs, Dolphins. Because we basically have 1 WR who consistently wins on jams, and that's Diggs. Need to get more creative against them, and run stacked/trips to create natural picks and more misdirection/motion. I feel like this took Daboll time to adjust to LY, and same with Dorsey...but seems like he's figuring it out.

Thought this was his best game as a Bill, didn't look like his ankle was bothering him. He fired off the ball, had a couple great stunts/forced holding penalty, and a batted pass.
-
There was absolutely little to no chance he was playing against the Jets. People obviously don't understand this isn't a minor injury. Better than an ACL, but no sure thing he's even back this year... Hopefully hes back this yr for end of season/playoffs, but Bills aren't going to rush an injury like this. Also need that roster spot.

Felt like this was most likely scenario, despite what Von said. He might need a scope to see extent of damage, or even if he doesn't, returning in less than 3 weeks was unlikely. If anything, he's missing perhaps 1 extra week (against Bears). Allows us to have some flexibility with roster in the interim.

Bad take. Knox and Davis are both above average, and improving, at their positions. Problem is the OL. It has a trickle down effect.... 1. Knox: has to be used to chip/block .Orr often, limiting his targets and free releases. 2. Davis: because we have to chip with a TE or RB (even against 4 man rushes), that's 1 more defensive player to help in coverage. Beane has to have improving OL as priority #1 next offseason, then continue adding playmakers.

Yeah, I could see us running a lot more 2 TE sets this week. Since Dion is out, and one area to attack the Pats in the passing game is their LBs. Won't be surprised to see Sweeney active too, if our gameplan is to deploy TEs more this week.
