Agree. Daboll had the same problem here, perhaps it's more to do with how poor our OL is at run blocking. I love Dorseys aggressiveness. Josh had open checkdowns and Shakir several times on crossing routes. Josh was forcing way too many passes, on a day where we just needed to stay in 3rd/short and not turnover the ball.

Agree on all but coaches. We tried a lot, but can only do so much missing 3 All Pro secondary players + our best LB. Not to mention Groot going down with an ankle. Jaquan Johnson needs benched, plain and simple. Had this conversation with @GunnerBill at beginning of year, that Hamlin was the much better safety and JJ lacks too much athletically.

Week 9: Bills at Jets - Sunday Nov. 6th 1pm

Conflicting report came out from Ian Rappaport that poyer is more "week to week". At this point, I wouldn't count on him next week either. Agree about Jets playing zone/4 man rush rate is very high. Be curious if Shakir gets more PT against a defense like this, similar to Steelers with zone looks. -

Wow that's a huge loss for them, as he was really starting to pick up the targets of Hollywood Brown. Andrew's has been injured too, can definitely see some low scoring games upcoming. -

Could have happened in the game, and he's 1 of the few players that doesn't need to practice but could still play on Sunday. My guess: 1. Milano, Poyer, Brown will be ruled out tomorrow. 2. Von and Tremaine questionable, but both play 3. Tre: I think we still sit him 1 more week, as he ramps up practice/football conditioning -

Agree. Something about IHs style of play reminds me of Jordan Mathews. He will definitely get some looks with Gmen down the stretch, hope it works out for him -
Brandon Beane press conference 11/2
MasterStrategist replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I admittedly don't watch Robert Woods, or the Titans. But since you brought him up... Yes, he was back sooner. But is he back at 100%? His stats seem WAY down compared to prior years, and yes other things impact that. We heard today from Tre, and could definitely hear how tough it was for him (especially initially) on the rehab. Can't imagine going thru that. But my point is perhaps Beane is giving Tre praise (like you said), and also seeing Tre is truly back to his old form. Won't know that until he plays... it's one thing coming back quickly, another to come back close to pre-injury form within 12-15 months. -
Agree about Hines, he will be another weapon on offense for Dorsey to mix in. Really like the trade. There was a good article in the preseason about Dorseys philosophy on offense, and wanting to be aggressive/utilize more speed on offense. This move definitely gets more speed on the field. Re: McKenzie, you continue to be obnoxious (why call him Lil Dummy?!, dont answer its rhetorical): 1. my post in gameday thread was specifically to say you were likely pouting in the stands when he scored. He also called that play (tipped Dorsey/Josh about how the edge player was crashing in on prior jet sweep fakes)...doesn't sound like a "dummy" 2. Hines will definitely take some plays/snaps from McKenzie, no doubt. Hopefully no more Mckenzie lined up in the backfield on zone reads....But Hines will likely lead to less of Shakir on punt returns, and let Shakir get a bit more involved as a Wr. So yeah indirectly to an extent, but Lil Dirty will continue to get his 3-5 offensive touches per game and likely kick returns.

Trying to be funny, but a bad take. Claypool has talent, and has actually produced. But he is extremely immature, on and off the field. He's been around "divas" in that Steeler locker room/WR group specifically, I think if he had a true #1 to learn from/harder coaching then he might turn into a reliable player. But he's got way more potential than Zach Moss.

There have been numerous reports of his immaturity, not just being young/tik tok. Coming from former players and media connected to the team. https://steelersdepot.com/2021/12/ryan-clark-blasts-chase-claypool-most-immature-football-player-ive-ever-seen/ That's just 1 article, go search for others if you'd like. Josina Anderson also posted an article today, that Claypool had been on thr market for weeks (seen as a locker room concern from inside steeler building).

Agree, he had a very good rookie season. 2nd year production was solid too, but he's not the leader/character concerns...might be addition by subtraction, for Steelers. More targets for Pickens/Diontae. Got solid value, and their issue has been oline and playcalling.

NFL Week 8: Packers at Bills - 2nd half game thread

Alexander just got into everyone's head on offense, Josh doesn't make that pass against anyone ever.... Need to stop trying to force a TD against Alexander and play smart. -
