I didn’t think they’d move up for WR. Jones, Kupp, and Smith-Schuster were all on the board. ?‍♂️. Oline looked like it dropped off after Lamp. Then they grabbed Dawkins afterwards.

I certainly wasn’t chirping for him. At the time of the trade up I thought they were grabbing Forrest Lamp. ?‍♂️

Maybe it’s related to a lingering groin injury. Not sure. We’ll see how it plays out over the rest of the season. If he doesn’t “turn on” down the stretch he’ll be on the roster bubble.

IIRC, he was pretty good at deep outs last year and due to his speed a lot of comeback routes were open as well. I really thought he had enough to build on.

I’ll never understand that. My primary residence is in VA on the north side of Kerr Reservoir... the way I can cruise 15 minutes and everyone’s driving disposition changes from “just pop the truck into 4x4” to “OMFG! Buy all the bread and milk!” It’s hilarious.

His floor is definitely lower than GOAT. Every WRs floor is tied to OC and QB... ref ODBJ. ?. There are plenty of examples of performance drop offs when an incompetent QB takes the reins of an offense. Look at D Adams season stats with Hundley throwing the ball. Went from an All pro pace to a 75/885/10 season. Rodgers comes back the next season and he posts 111/1386/13. allen would certainly benefit from having a smart physically imposing WR. Sadly, they rarely hit the market.... Beane needs to do better.

I just want to see the potential fully reached before anointing anyone. He’s on pace this year. Granted, I wouldn’t complain if Beane gave up a 1st for most of the guys we’ve mentioned.... Green aside due to avail-ability. I think OBJ could rebound, but I don’t see it in Cleveland with that coaching staff. Stick him on the Seahawks and he’d likely revert back to all-pro level.

I’m not upset by it. They decided to go D first and it payed off. I’ll also never rag on Line picks in the top three rounds. I’d rather have incompletions than an injured QB. That said, I think they’re going to start filling out the offense unless someone falls into their lap. Keep in mind that Pit has basically kept the same Oline together for years. They’ll have to restart the cycle soon just like GB has done.
