  1. Is he actually serious, or just trying to drum up clicks with his conservative audience? Been a while since he’s had an unbiased opinion.
  2. If you need google to connect “dalton” with “cooler” then you probably need google to connect “dalton” with roadhouse. 🤷‍♂️
  3. If you’re gonna go that route it’s gotta be better and play off the roadhouse riff. If he can calm Allen, grab those 1st down conversations in pressure situations then you gotta drop Swayze and go with “The Cooler”.
  4. While I don’t think Lazard is what you want as your secondary receiving option, he has a viable skill set which Rodgers can exploit especially when plays break down. He’s also one of the best blockers at the position which could lead to some big plays on the ground. Packers are going to miss him walking off defenders in the screen game and downfield on runs.
  5. Exactly. Adding say a Lee Smith type and Taiwan Jones/Tyler Matakevich type to reliably cover the gaps would cost 2-3 times the amount. Top specialist cost real cap space, having a guy who can cover multiple roles for one of those contracts helps retain guys like Poyer.
  6. I think the issue is that folks view him as solely a fullback when his utilization and skill set is more closely aligned with an H-back. Gilliam’s categorization is one of the reasons why everyone views the bills as not using much 12 personnel last season, but Gilliam was used as the second TE. That’ll certainly change with Kincaid, but they still need a guy who can fill that role as a backup and play teams. Folks have their minds made up though because he’s “a fullback,” so 🤷‍♂️
  7. I don’t care about the pro-bowls, but Browns four second team all-pro seasons carry some weight. Pro Bowl is more a popularity contest than an indicator of ability. For example, Ray Nitschke had seven all pro seasons despite only making one pro bowl. They need to just kill the pro bowl and walk away from the abomination
  8. If the Bills by two TDs in the meadowlands on 9/11 the jets fan base and media will go into catastrophe mode. 🤞🏼
  9. We’re not seeing eye to eye… I wasn’t including TEs in the “two WR 1” category, nor do I view some of those players (JuJu for example) as WR 1s. Adding a top TE into the equation as the #1 pass catching option along with a WR1 is a viable alternative to having two WR1’s which I listed as an example because of Gronk, Kelsey, Kittle, etc. It’s more about having 3+ players that can exploit defenses and game plans or 2 guys who can dominate along with a good rushing attack. We saw what happened to this offense without that third player (prime Beasley), so fingers crossed on Kincaid. I also don’t believe Davis is a comp to anyone on there. He’s much more like MVS on that Chiefs team, or to stick with another former packer; Lazard…. Firmly entrenched as a secondary option due to limitations. As a result, Diggs & Davis won’t be enough unless a third receiving option steps up big time or the running attack improves dramatically and becomes dominant.
  10. I’ll take a slightly different perspective with a similar theme…. It’s not unreasonable to have a 1A and 1B with all the WR talent in the league, but it’s not needed. However, if you don’t have a 1A and 1B you absolutely need three viable targets that can make game changing or drive changing plays in the passing game. Whether that’s 1A paired with two solid 2 WRs or a more “traditional” 1A, 2A, and a top 10 TE. With all the new talent at the WR position procuring two guys who are solid WR2 talents at differing stages of their careers should be attainable if it’s prioritized.
  11. Adding a pair of power backs, a first round TE, an extra 1-tech, and a bear of a guard leads me to believe they recognized that as an issue. We’ll see if it works out the way everyone hopes.
  12. Gale Sayers as well. I don’t think Luck should get in. IMO, the only other shortened career that deserves to be in is Sterling Sharpe. Once Favre got to GB Sharpe was going back and forth with Rice for best receiver in the NFL for 3 years then the neck injury happened.
  13. It’s actually a pretty solid roster. The big issues were young receivers and revolving injuries, particularly on defense and the Oline. The interesting thing to me is that even with the injuries that Packers Oline was better than the Jets Oline last year. I’m really curious if Rodgers will extend plays this year or just turf the ball when there’s pressure like last season.
  14. Allen is a tank, but it’s a useless record to chase…. Being healthy in the playoffs or not doing permanent damage by playing injured is more important than catching Favre’s oxy assisted record of 297 (+24 playoffs) consecutive games.
  15. The biggest problem this team has with RB screens is Josh Allen. More specifically, how teams play against Allen. Teams will often have a spy, slow rush the ends, or utilize other tactics to maintain extra eyes and a free man in the backfield. The result is that it’s easier to sniff out screens to RBs. Now, what I’d really like to see as an alternative are more TE and WR screens. The added size and speed this year to the pass catching units should help with this. There very well could be some easy big plays available if you can get a screen to Hardy behind Gabe and Kincaid
  16. Pretty much how I view it. A competent offense will allow their defense to be more aggressive on the backend and more diverse overall. I’m not sure it’ll matter against the Bills, but it’ll matter against teams who aren’t top 10 on both sides of the ball.
  17. Well, the Bills could just build a tunnel that funnels and speeds up Lake Erie’s December wind right across the visitors sideline. 🤷‍♂️. Seriously though, they should just schedule those September dolphins games for 4pm or later, or make it so every team can use misters.
  18. I’m not sure Diggs was unhappy with the playcalling, so much as Allen not telling Dorsey to change up some things based on what they’re seeing on the field. That would put the emphasis more on “communication” but look like a straight X’s and O’s issue. Who knows 🤷‍♂️. All we really know is winning cures all, but those wins need to be playoff victories this year.
  19. Depends on where you’re located. I have a house on 19 acres in VA with an annual total of $1,250 in property taxes (agricultural zoning) and only $100 a month in utilities through a cooperative.
  20. Please, for the rest of us…. Can you show us on the doll where McDermott hurt you?
  21. Probably because it came from the horses mouth… “Doug and I have always stayed in touch since 2010,” Hall said. “It’s almost like the same vibe. What he believes in, I believe in, I believe how he’s leading and his leadership is great. I’ve learned so much from him.” https://www.jacksonville.com/story/sports/nfl/2023/06/12/chad-hall-brings-enthusiasm-energy-to-jaguars-wide-receiver-room/70279989007/
  22. Fans might revolt. Makes a point though that both offensive staffs have a backlog of experience/talent.
  23. You’re beating a dead horse. With Dorsey, Brady and Shula here Hall wasn’t going to get the position anyways. Hall has personal relationships with Pederson, Andy Reid, etc. His ultimate goal may be to move upwards with external promotions for other coaches he knows. None of us know exactly how he’s attempting to forward his career, but we can certainly gather that most coaching promotions partly stem from nepotism.
