Is Nick Siriani, the second best coach in the NFL currently.
Buffalo Junction replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’ll be there in three years if the team performs. Roseman knows he can probably hire the pick of the litter any time he wants to hire a new HC though, so he’ll probably “swap parts” after an early playoff loss if there’s a top 5-10 coach (Shanny, LaFleur, McDermott, etc) on the market. Outside of Reid, Roseman probably has the most job security of any non-owner in the league, and he’ll leverage that to stay on a HoF track. -
Superbowl Game Thread - Chiefs vs Eagles
Buffalo Junction replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
He hasn’t been effective running the ball, but he’s had a huge impact on the game. The Barkley factor lead to 1v1 coverage on AJ Brown, etc. -
If they extended Cook at a 4 year $38 million I’d be extremely content with that. 3 for $30MM wouldn’t be bad either assuming he keeps producing at his current clip. He’s pretty low mileage despite the output, and RBs that produce in the passing game and split carries generally last better; Kamara, Aaron Jones, etc. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see the market shift a bit after what Henry, Sayquon, and Jacobs did this season.

Shelley Long killed it in Night Shift. -
A Fritz Shurmur DC tree could be interesting. It would include Jim Johnson, McDermott, etc on one branch. Bum Philips and Buddy Ryan would also be interesting.

Meanwhile, over at Chiefs Planet....Keeping it classy

No, but if any of them pulls out a conch shell you’ll have to throw him off a cliff or be voted off the island. -
You could cover three at once by opening a bar-cade that serves pizza and wings. 😉

If he wants to ring chase here and take a substantial discount…. Sure. I don’t see it happening any other way. I’m sure Mack would be embraced by us fans if he signed for $12MM and incentives.

Random talking head says something about the Bills
Buffalo Junction replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
The running back trying to play QB thing likely stuck as a narrative because of Greg Roman. Roman’s schemes have always been prodigious at run design and rudimentary at route concepts. It’s possibly a substantial reason why Lamar didn’t develop sooner as a passer. -
Dion Dawkins and the Bills ripped off - Baldy agrees
Buffalo Junction replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s not so much speed, but the craft of getting a free release, running routes, maintaining fluidity through cuts, and how to confuse DBs at the top of stems. If he can start to master that and add some strength he’ll be able to put DBs in awkward situations. -

Coleman needs to do both. He will likely never be a top separater in the NFL. However, if Coleman improves his release and routes while adding strength he may find a certain level of dominance in his play style. -
There’s an element of that to every team with a top 5-10 offensive line, and it’s compounded if you also have a top 10 RB. Having played guard…. The husky club loves it as it allows for an aggressive mindset. That said, a little more optionality that branches off of those plays should be incorporated.

Who is Buffalo's most under rated player?
Buffalo Junction replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
To the national media… everyone besides Allen, Dawkins, Von, and Milano. I’d throw Taron Johnson in there, but there are only a few pundits - mostly former players - that seem to understand his importance. Bills fans tend to underrate Knox. They often forget how good of a blocker he’s become, and neglect how he tends to show up at critical moments - especially scrambles. -

Damn. He threw that pick with conviction. -

I don’t really agree with their process either, but if IIRC… Tom only gave up three sacks all year and snuffed a few notable pass rushers like Hines-Allen. -

Agree. I just give offensive linemen more grace in the modern NFL than other positions due to how limited their development is in college. Unless the guy was a top 20 pick I don’t expect them to be a plus starter till year three. He’s got potential…. We’ll see if he has the “want to”, drive, and injury fortune to reach it.

Honestly, I’m not so sure that Beane has actually hit on any stars - Cook might get there - other than Allen. The only other players from the McBeane era that hit a star level were drafted before Beane got here - Tre White, Dawkins, Milano. Aside from Cook, the only guys Beane has drafted that look like they could potentially be top 5 at their position are Spencer Brown, Torrence, and Groot… and Groot looks like he’ll never be a top pass rusher without help on the D-line despite being a dominant run defender at his position. This team needs a dominant 1-tech like Dexter Lawrence or a dominant LDE like Garret, Hendrickson, etc to get guys like Oliver and Groot the 1 v 1’s they can reliably win. I agree that it’s worth some serious investment in cap and or draft capital to make that happen. As long as Allen is healthy this team isn’t going to draft in the top 20, so it’s trade, FA, or a red flag draft gamble to procure the physical talent needed there.

Show me the Bonus money earned from performance today
Buffalo Junction replied to djp14150's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s a distraction. The bonus talk is pushing a narrative that the players won’t tank because they have money on the line. I’m not sure if it’s the extra game, or the lack of the extra playoff bye. They probably could fix it a bit by slotting home field to record instead of division winners. At least this Vikings/Lions game should be good because it’s for all the marbles.
