  1. Tank for a draft pick and reload while the team is still relatively young. That is how Bengals got Chase. Eagles got DaVonta Smith with a single down year as well.
  2. I actually agree. They oline is ravaged with injuries and the QB talent is just not there. If they had traded for Kirk Cousins with that defense they would win the division.
  3. The seat is getting very hot in Cleveland. Browns have not scored more than 20 pts in a game since 2023. The blame is falling on Stefanski on the radio and on the internet. I just read they have not won a regular season game in Pittsburgh in 20 years. That is incredible. Baker won a playoff game there but no other wins. That is what New Emgland said for two decades. With Josh the Bills can dominate for another half decade or more.
  4. He seems like a faux tough guy disciplinarian without the resume to back it up. All the announcers seem to love him but have to wonder if he is alienating the locker room already.
  5. He isn't playing...isn't that kind of the point of the whole thread And yes the standard for a 3rd round pick is higher than the later rounds It is great Walker looks good and that Hawes is making an impact. There is no doubt Beane has a track record of finding great value in the later rounds. But the track record of mid round misses is worthy of commentary Not dressing for four games does not mean he is destined to be Basham 2.0. But it is still disappointing
  6. Vision is by far #1. Thurman had it. OJ and Cribbs had it. Henry had it. Shady had it. We have really been fortunate to see some of the great running backs in NFL history. On the flip side, Spiller had zero vision. He had all the physical ability just was a terrible running back.
  7. Yes but that stat is causing pressure on the fan base psyche because he can't stop the run not QB pressures...lol
  8. You are correct Mac did perform well under McDaniels and so far the Maye performance is good. Maybe like Norv Turner and Jim Schwartz some guys are just meant to be coordinators and not HCs.
  9. We just want the shoe to not drop in the playoffs...
  10. Umm...He had Brady as his QB. Multiple OC's that worked with Brady failed on their own as HC's. Adam Gase had Manning as his QB and was a failure as a HC twice. In most cases the QB makes the OC not the other way around.
  11. Agree. Outside of Lamar, the Bills franchise has always struggles against rushing QB's and good to great Tight ends. Its like it is in the DNA of the franchise. Go back to Blake Bortles in the Jags playoff game...arghh he passed for 87 yards and rushed for 88!
  12. Cooper was second on the team in YPR last year at 14.9. Scantling left Bills and he averaged over 22 YPR with the Saints but isn't doing anything with the 49ers right now. Josh missed him wide open deep twice last year before he was let go. Have to wonder how much of it is Brady unable to scheme guys open deepen and how much of it is them just wanting to have a conservative short passing game. Honestly at this point I really don't care about the deep WR shots. All I want to see from the offense is Kincaid targeted more. He is a matchup nightmare. He should be getting 10 targets a game like an elite TE. WNY is where TE's come to die. Not a single ProBowl TE since the AFL-NFL merger! Has to be the worst position group in NFL history for a franchise. Now we have one with elite skills and still can't figure out how to use him.
  13. Overpaid Not worth the money Not elite Troublemaker Not a team player Diva Can't catch Cant block Can't break tackles Don't pay running backs Ray Davis or Gore Jr would be just as good And the classic, "If he behaves" post... Any other horribly inaccurate takes I am missing?? Feel free to own up to them...
  14. Anyone advocate just kicking it out of the endzone this week???? I think if we get up a few scores early I would just kick it into the endzone Our defense is terrible between the 20's anyways. 15 yards added to their drive starts probably is not going to make much difference.
  15. As I pointed out there are good and bad teams. Bills, Steelers, Lions, Chiefs, and Colts are among the league's best teams It's just data like I said. And yes your point about whether it is special teams or offense//defense is a good one. I gues the counter to that is Jackson isn;t een able to dress to play special teams. Yes I have pre-conceptions but the data in my opinion validates them. Most 3rd round picks are playing in some capacity and at a decent rate. Only 1 other healthy player has not played. I never implied anything about Jackson's long term outlook. It would probably be very interesting to look at the fourth round snap counts. Walker might lead the league for all I know.
  16. You had me until you said AJ has developed... I too still have hope for Jackson. It's obviously incredibly early in his career. We probably had hope for Basham as well though...
  17. This is a corollary to the Landon Jackson thread so feel free to merge. I looked at the top 19 picks in the 3rd round. I don't have much of a life but I do want to get in the workshop tonight so I just did the top half. That is 19 picks as there were 38 picks. Bills drafted Landon Jackson with the 8th pick in the 3rd round so just about in the middle of this sample. See the table below. These numbers represent snap count percentage for week 4. Data source link below. I have no idea how accurate it is. https://www.footballguys.com/stats/snap-counts/teams?team=ARI&year=2025&type=snap-counts Only two other players have been inactive all four games and only one other has been a healthy scratch - a 49ers LB. The Titans WR has been injured but not on IR. Two had season ending injuries in camp and are on IR. Two had no snaps in week 4 but had snaps in 2 of 4 games. All the others that played in week 4 also played in weeks 1-3. It is data and you can judge it however you want. There is a mix of good and bad teams. There is a mix of positions. My take is that it is reasonable to expect a 3rd round pick that is not injured to be dressing on game day and playing in some capacity.
  18. I know I am the contrarian a lot, but wow if I had three things to eliminate from Bills lore Zubaz would be in the top 3. Nothing good about that look.
  19. Ravens seem like they are done. Unfortunately that means they get a top 15 draft pick next year. Wonder if they decide this is the time to move on from Harbaugh??? No chance of that....Brown, Milano, Oliver, Bass, and Hairston have all missed games and were starters or presumed starters. The starting 5 OL started every game last year. That streak is already over. Shakir is still playing injured.
  20. Actually Kincaid was the guy on the sidelines more than Knox against the Saints. It was noticeable during the game. Made me worry that he was injured. I don't understand why Brady won't feature him. He should be getting 8-10 targets a game. He is a matchup nightmare.
  21. Babich is the designated scapegoat. His only hope of being here next year is a SuperBowl win or a blocked kick in the playoffs that costs the ST's coordinator his job. The forced turnovers is regressing to the mean, and without them the defense can't stop the run and can't get off the field on 3rd down. Just need to limp to the bye week. By then you should have Hairston, Oliver, and Hoecht playing. Hopefully Hairston can take over CB#2. If not that is going to be a problem all season. Getting Oliver back with Walker playing well it makes the entire DL better. Bishop is getting better. Shaq Thompson may supplant Milano and Williams as LB#2. I feel bad for Milano but it's time to move on. Can't have a one armed LB playing when teams are committed to run at them. He needs to go to IR and get fully healthy and maybe he comes back for the playoffs. And lastly, Bernard needs to just play better. He's really struggling reading plays. Looks worse than Edmunds did in picking the run lane.
  22. I was there for week 18 Jan 2023. Half the crowd was in Bills gear. You won't have any problem being around Bills fans.
  23. Bad teams commit more penalties. Bad teams are ignored by the media. For 17 years all we heard was there was a conspiracy against the Bills by the NFL, the refs and the media. Hmmm....Josh Allen arrived and nobody is screaming about the media or ref bias anymore...
  24. Deserve? Not sure what that criteria means. But if it is a good to great player that is great in the community, I'd add Dion Dawkins to the list. In terms of just pure talent, then it would be future HOFs like Allen, Jackson, Henry, Trent Williams, Quenton Nelson, Justin Jefferson. And Myles Garrett. FYI if you ask AI this question they have Travis Kelce listed as not winning a championship...
  25. They have three very good TEs. Hawes is a super upgraded version of Lee Smith. He can not run the routes Knox does. Knox needs to take a paycut next year. Beane has usually found ways to get that to happen. They need the 2026 draft for linebackers, safeties, corners, wr, and more edge rushers in no particular order. It would be foolish to not bring him back. Too many holes to fill elsewhere.
