  1. This is absolutely pointless when leave out the fact they traded a first round pick for a top 3 WR in the league and he performed better than any WR in franchise history. Not sure what the point the OP is trying to make when you leave out all the relevant facts.
  2. The only three guys that make sense at 28 are Thomas, Franklin, and Mitchell. Hopefully one of those three are available. They all have enough size and speed to be an outside threat. I'd be happy with any of those three. If they are all gone take an edge or trade back. Somehow I think we end up with Roman Wilson in the top of round 2 as a Robert Woods do-over.
  3. Josh needs to and can play better. Turnovers are his biggest issue. His deep ball was garbage last year. Maybe that was the shoulder. His WR screen throws are abysmal. Not much else to work on. What is McDermott going up work on to get better?
  4. Well to keep using your analogy you can choose not to get poked in the eye. Nobody is forcing someone to buy the PSL. If you want the team to stay in Buffalo this is the price you pay. It's the world we live in. No less than five other cities would take the Bills and their fans would willingly pay for the PSL. Cleveland and northeast Ohio is about to put up 500 million just to renovate their broken down stadium or get shilled for $1B or more to build a dome. Can't have it both ways. You want the team you have to pay. As for me I'm still going to get club level tix a few times a year and hit a couple away games a year. I still work too many weekends to justify season tix even if I'm only under 3 hours away now.
  5. Can someone summarize for me the anger over the PSLs? I am not a season ticket holder. I thought it was assumed the new stadium was going to have PSLs. I dont understand why the outrage as if people were duped. Did people expect there was not going to be a PSL?
  6. Problem is when you took an OT in the first round in the past you felt like you were getting a 10 year starter. Now O-line play is so bad in college it's as big of a gamble as all the other players. It's all 2 point stances and spread offense in college except for a few programs like Michigan and Alabama
  7. Now can we put an end to the doom and gloom regarding the cap. And can we stop believing anything Beane says. He lies on purpose all the time. Every year he says they don't have money and don't expect any moves. And here we are with a very good WR and multiple other solid role players. He jettisoned old and injured or in the case of Davis inconsistent players. They are still too old on the DL but I am convinced they will draft an Edge in round 1 or 2. Only move I really dislike is signing Epenesa. Never liked the draft pick and he has done nothing to impress to warrant a second deal. I would have used Epenesa money on another safety.
  8. This is a falsehood. If anything sets you up for failure, it is wasting draft picks trading up for a specific player.
  9. Bills need WR and Edge in the worst way for 2024 but even more so for 2025. I don't hate taking a C in the first round but they can do that next year. This year getting younger better pass rush and planning for a life without Diggs is the priority.
  10. Beane is doing a solid job getting low price one year rentals to play behind Oliver and Jones. None of these guys will make a difference other than logging some snaps. However, Beane is now free to trade down and draft WR, Edge, and Safety with first three picks. Another solid off-season by Beane with the notable exception of bringing Epenesa back.
  11. I'm convinced Wilson is a locker room cancer. I liked Fields coming out of college and I think the Bears should have kept him, traded down, and taken Harrison. Fields in Pittsburgh is a good place to land. Both Wilson and Fields are better than any QB on the Pittsburgh roster last year and they still made the playoffs. They should still be competitive in the AFC North with either of them starting.
  12. Don't care about Christmas games. Just think football on a Wednesday is stupid.
  13. Have to assume they meant the play clock. Ugh this is going to be interesting to see how often some replay booth guy stops a play. It will be very difficult to stop the play before it is over. These are usually less than a second decision and by the time the replay official can notify anyone the play will be over. That means a possible referral of a TD, a sack, or a turnover. It's the right thing to do and my guess is QBs will just adjust and snap with 1 sec instead of zero.
  14. I'm sorry but a SuperBowl win with a HOF QB for a franchise that has never won a SuperBowl is the only thing I am interested in. There is no other measure of success. Now enjoyment or entertainment is different. I can enjoy the wins and making the playoffs but without a Lombardi it is not successful. And you can't have it both ways. Did Marino and the Dolphins have successful seasons losing in the playoffs all those years? Im sure no Dolphin fan would say they were successful. I would trade one SuperBowl win for a decade of not making the playoffs You may be correct. Hope McD proves me wrong or your are wrong about Pegula.
  15. I answered yes but I have to give a caveat. I would give up multiple picks for one of the top 3 WR. I have a win at all cost mentality. With any luck next years number 1 is #32. Outside of those top 3, I agree with others. Stay put or even trade down and you can still get a quality WR.
  16. Only a handful of coaches have HOF QBs. Shanahan is making the SuperBowl with a 7th round draft pick. McDermott can't win a division round playoff game at home two years in a row with a top 3 QB. You must see the difference. To put it another way, any of those 31 other coaches wins 9 games with Allen at QB. Many of them win the division. Some make the SuperBowl. But our HC can't beat KC at home.
  17. Very fair take. I would have fired McDermott after the home Cincinnati loss. His players weren't ready to play. I understand he was a remarkable human being during the Hamlin crisis. But that was a month in the past at that point. And that was a season after 13 secs and still White was playing 10 yards off the LOS on a 3rd and short. I would have fired McD this year for Harbaugh or Belichick. I dont care about the injuries. His defense choked multiple games away. Josh was bad at times last year but McD defense and Special Teams lost multiple games after Josh had them won. And I will go on record, no matter what happens he has to make the SuperBowl or they need to move on from him this year.
  18. Half those QBs you listed played in the SuperBowl and two won SuperBowls so I fail to see the point. Fair point regarding Fouts and Coryell who was ahead of his time but could not win the big game. I think if you are going to argue continuity you should argue for Cowher who lost multiple AFC Championships and SuperBowls before winning a Lombardi. He's probably the exception that proves the rule. Not an argument. Those were facts.
  19. Fair points. All. What is your breaking point? Philadelphia had theirs with Reid. Tampa did with Dungy. Do you ever give up on him and go with someone else? Shanahan is closer to Levy with two SuperBowl appearances. McDermott should be so lucky to be in the same sentence as Shanahan at this point.
  20. Cmon man! Plan? They threw him to the wolves after Peterman sucked. He literally sat for one half of one game. There was no plan. He had no WRs and a crap o-line that was so bad he got his elbow smashed. If you are going to defend McDermott you have to do better than that.
