  1. I'd prefer we spend money on OG and Gronk. Let Wallace and Trubisky walk. Bring back Hughes and hopefully Phillips. Get rid of Addison, Butler, Ford, Gilliam, Jones, and Haack. Get a couple high comp picks. And then get a CB, DT, pure edge, WR and new punter in the draft. We have enough 4 sack DEs.
  2. Adding Gronk, getting rid of Gilliam and any fullback would make me happy. A two TE set with two guys that are at least capable blockers and can win one on one matchups in the pass game is lethal to defend. It forces the defense to choose play base defense or nickel. Then the offense can react with runs against a softer front or attacking the base defense with multiple receiving threats. Gronk or another credible TE #2 wpuld transform this offense. If they don't land a good second TE option, then I hope it is more of the same. 3 or 4 WR sets with Knox rarely leaving the field.
  3. As a person who grew up in Lockport, may I say well done!
  4. You don't know McDermott any more than me or anyone else. You have no idea about his integrity or character. Lots of coaches preach integrity and then practice differently. What we know is the coaching staff cost the city of Buffalo a championship and McDermott labeled it as execution which is code for the players didn't perform. The players don't decide how to kick the ball and they don't decide to rush 4. At best Levi may have freelanced lining up wide and deep, but based on where the safeties were lined up, McDermott was defending against a TD not a FG. He called timeouts twice and they still choked.
  5. Hope so. Seattle has not recovered from Wilson throwing an INT at the goal line.
  6. Props to him. I thought his career was over when he was a healthy scratch mid-season. But he really did play good football the last half of the season and into the playoffs. If the money is right, i think he would be a fine back-up DT. But that is probably as good as he will ever be. They need someone to pair with Oliver that can consistently take on two blockers, hold his ground, and make some plays from time to time. Yes for the money he played ok.
  7. The more the better. Could land a 3rd round comp pick if Beane doesn't screw it up by signing too many guys. Wallace will probably net them a 4th rounder too.
  8. He's played 7 good games his entire career. He won't have much demand for his services. They will be drafting a DT early. Star and a rookie will split time at NT. Hope they move on from Zimmer too. He was limited athletically even before he got hurt.
  9. Publically stating it was execution is laying the blame on the players. It's obvious the coaching staff wasn't on the same page on the kickoff and the defensive scheme was terrible on the final two plays. Worst thing you can do when you preach accountability is not hold yourself accountable. Leadership 101. Our only hope is Allen can overcome McDermott's screw ups.
  10. Of course you make this move. He is still an elite talent at TE. He would be a matchup nightmare. With two great TEs on the roster you get rid of Gilliam and carry one less WR. That opens a roster spot for an extra DB or C.
  11. I could live with the early rounds. I would trade away all the 6th and 7th round picks to move up and get best punter in the draft in the fifth round and an earlier pick in 2023.
  12. Beane says he drafts BPA but he drafts for need almost exclusively. Allen, Edmunds, Oliver, trade for Diggs, Knox, Bass, Rousseau, and Ford were all need picks. You can argue Singletary and Moss were as well though Shady was still on the roster when they drafted Singletary. Add White being drafted by McDermott after letting Gilmore walk and all their top picks have been clear cut needs. Gabe Davis is probably the best value pick Beane has made at a position that was already stocked. They will draft CB, DT, C/OG in the first three rounds.
  13. None. They can't afford to pay money on the RB position. Singletary, Moss, and a rookie are fine. Keep addressing the lines and spend your dollars blocking.
  14. Wilson's situation is really bizarre. He and his agent have to know that trading him is salary cap suicide for Seattle. It is nearly impossible. That said I dont think the whole story has ever come out. My gut tells me Wilson is a two faced diva and a locker room pariah that the coaching staff and front office chose over other players. The SuperBowl loss was the spark but it was brewing before. Go back to the rumor of Golden Tate sleeping with Wilson's ex wife. Guys like Sherman and Thomas and a few others left very unhappy too. There is a story there we just don't know all the details yet.
  15. He's not that good and his agent probably knows that. Another year of playing average to poorly and he will be in the Baker Mayfield situation. Arizona will be even more likely to move on from him. His agent wants the signing bonus and guaranteed money now. Murray has not done enough to warrant an extension yet. Lamar Jackson is the only guy that should be pissed he hasnt signed a lucrative extension yet. As judging by how bad Baltimore was down the stretch, Jackson is the heart and soul of the Ravens.
  16. Only long term solution for QB salaries is to have 1 exempt player from your salary cap that you can pay as much as you want. Most of the time that will be the QB but for some teams it may he another star player. The current cap makes it almost impossible to win with an expensive QB.
  17. Yes, college football head coach salaries are so much more reasonable.
  18. That makes no sense. Otherwise Bill would have acquired a different QB last season. I think BB thinks he can win with any QB that doesn't turn the ball over and makes routine plays consistently
  19. You were right about TT. I was ok with the Rex hire too even though I wanted Todd Bowles at the time. I just thought he would be a HC. He did well with the players and game management. I still don't understand why he dismantled a top 3 defense. I thought he would add some blitz packages to the Schwartz D.
  20. I have several but I post a mix of what I would do and what I think the organization will do. Silliest : I didn't do my research well enough on Henry's foot injury. I'm a cardiologist and should have done more research about his foot injury. Criticized McDermott handling of Marcell Dareus. I thought the organization was giving up on a guy that could have been great. He was playing at an incredible level prior to signing his extension. I thought McD's scheme and coaching was holding him back. Turns out he just was a lazy fat bastard.
  21. I dont know but I'm just saying its not a given he will leave.
  22. He was terrible but did play a little better late in the year.
  23. According to who? Where is Trubisky going to go? He wasn't that highly valued leaving Chicago and he has no tape from 2021 to show he is any better or worse.
  24. Its the exact opposite of why Buffalo went to Toronto.
