There is no point, that's the point. I know I'm a broken record but COVID proved you don't need preseason games. They couldn't figure out Wyatt Teller was a future probowl player in real games let alone preseason games. Everyone relax. If they suck this year these preseason games won't have anything to do with it. Playing Arizona week 1 is like Ohio State playing Bowling Green. Should be a good get right week 1 win. Get some solid reps for the backups. Let Elam play some man to man on MHJr. Get a few sacks to pad the defense stats as McD does. Then move on to week 2 Players don't get paid for preseason games They only get game checks for regular season games.

Yeah Cleveland got hit with two tornados this week. Trees down everywhere. 400k lost power. About 200k had no power four four days. My hospital was running on generator for 2 and half days. I was working out and showering at Planet Fitness for a few days. Saw Inside Out 2 - no good trailers We changed our mind and went to a steak place after the movie. I love biriyani though!!! After dinner we came home to the power finally back on! I think many others still without.

I've been without power for four days and no signs it will be coming back on. Hit Planet Fitness this afternoon during the game, new personal best bench press, and a hot shower. Now off to a movie and Indian food. Imagine all the things people can do when they finally get rid of the preseason!!!

I did. A HC doesn't control preseason games? Not sure what that even means. That said, all I meant was I wouldn't take anything from this. It's meaningless. During the SuperBowl years the Bills would look terrible all preseason long.

I'm on record as being anti McDermott. But now it's time to put the past in the past and just evaluate him moving forward. I've tried to do that. I said I disagreed with his decision to play the starters without any negative comments. All we can do is see how he does this year and take it game by game.

All they want to do is avoid injury. The starters don't care about anything else. Most of the 3rd and 4th quarter guys are just trying to put something on tape in the hopes that they can make the PS.

Yet we keep at least 3 core ST guys a year not including the K,P, and LS. McDermott has yet to find a decent punter in 6 years. All those draft picks this year and they couldn't draft a P and K for competition? Yet let's spend time letting a wrestler take training camp snaps.

Unlike Beane their GM is thinking win now while their QB is on the rookie deal. They are in the weakest division in AFC. They have a good but still mostly unproven HC and probably see a very clear path to the AFC Championship game - perhaps at home. They can easily be the #1 seed as all the other teams beat each other up all year. If Diggs gives them 80 catches and 900-1000 yards they will run away with the AFC South. Will Diggs show up in the playoffs for them? Who knows? A 2025 2nd round pick does nothing for them now. As to why they voided his other years I can't explain that. Other than they knew he was a 1 year rental and didn't want any possibility of a holdout for a raise in salary.

No doubt his production dropped. I will admit that. I will add Allen missed a wide open Diggs multiple times last season down the stretch including two 80yd+ TD. But Diggs also dropped one of the best passes Allen has thrown in the playoffs. That was absolutely brutal also seeing that the defender fell down and it would have been a TD. Now that I agreed to those facts... Are you saying McDermott didn't blow the 13 second game? McDermott's defense didn't blow lead at Texans and had no answer for the Chiefs last season?

Cooper is probably pissed. He could have gotten away from the dumpster fire that will be Watson playing only because he has a guaranteed contract. He was horrible before shoulder surgery.

As for comparisons of old rosters TE, LB(remember I never thought Edmunds was very good and LB depth is best it has ever been), IOL, and RB are much better CB is maybe a bit better - Douglas is a notch below White at his best but is a #1 CB and Benford/Elam are better than Wallce/Jackson DT, QB, and OT are about the same DE, Safety, and WR downgrades Despite all the emphasis on STs they have yet to find a decent punter. PK is a wash.

Actually you can worry about injury and you can protect your star players from taking unnecessary risk. It's not a risk if you don't play them. As I've said before COVID proved no preseason is needed.
